Taco Mac

Service was so-so…Food: We ordered lemon pepper, habanero wings, with a side of fries. The lemon pepper wings barely had lemon pepper on it, it was like half a dash for each wing and the habanero was not spicy at all, unlike usual. My partner and I have been to different T. Macs and this would be one of the worst locations for food. As for drinks, Kentucky Mule was tasty but not strong at all, so my partner says.
Tip: I would go to the TMac at Cobb Pkway instead, besides it’s more renovated over there.

Drinkers beware! The food is consistently good… even though the service tends to be a bit slow. HOWEVER, unless you’re prepared to pay $ 9 for a WELL vodka I suggest you go drinking somewhere else Seems a bit absurd to me. I used to work at a bar that charged $ 3 for UV vodka drinks… and this taco Mac charges $ 9? $ 9.50 for the flavored UV. Just seems fairly ridiculous to me.

The service is terrible. It is sad that that their food is good and I now order delivery to get my food. The other Taco Macs have great service what is happening with this Taco Mac. The owner may need to look at his management staff. The last time I was there they were all standing while the servers were going crazy.

I’ve gotten take out from here a few times. While their food isn’t bad, the portions are small and expensive for the size. Their Chicken Philly, for example, is a $ 9 6″ sub. When you get a side of fries, you can count the number you get at first glance. It’s like a small McDonald’s portion. So far the best value has been the chicken nachos, which are also pretty tasty. I do understand they have a great beer selection and they have a lot of overhead with their dozens of tvs.

Had to finally review what use to be the best wing joint in town.
This location is consistently inconsistent.
Cold food.
Slow service.
Dirty, smelly bathrooms.
And now they doubled the size… and their problems.
Most of the wait staff is above average, nice and friendly.
Still the best wing sauce, just unpredictable wings.
Fix it or fold.

First time at this Taco Mac. I always get wings (medium heat). Well of the 4 places in Atlanta I know that had a dry wing was Taco Mac, Buffalos, JR Crickets & 3 Dollar Café. Dry wings are the best in my opinion and 2 Months ago they told me AFTER I complained that they changed the sauce. My wings were swimming in sauce. How disgusting. I asked the manager what was up with the switching up on how the do wings now, he said corporate wanted to change.
Well I told him that that was a bad idea and if a customer orders wings and they are drastically different it would be nice if the server would have told someone. Our server has been there 8 years, she should have known better but she didn’t!
This is a time of year that guys get together and eat wings and drink beer and watch football. This new recipe could cost them business. I know I won’t be back, I will travel another 15 miles for 3 Dollar Café to get my wings.
My wife got the fish tacos and the fish was not hot. Go figure.

This is a sports bar and we typically only ask that the food be hot and the beer cold. At least the beer was cold. This is our third time with cold fries and food that is lukewarm. The staff is always friendly, but since I don’t ask for much in bar food, I don’t think we will be back.

The food is average bar fare. 4 stars for the beer selection and atmosphere. Definitely worth joking the free Brewniversity Club. Ask when you get there. I love this place.

Worst experience ever. My boyfriend and I ate here last night. Cheese dip took 15 minutes to get to our table and when it did, it was so hard my boyfriend and I couldn’t eat it. We didn’t see our waitress again until 5 mins after our meal came out. I then asked her to heat it up and for some condiments. The food was actually good, but it took so long to get the condiments it was cold by the time we started eating and when I tried to ask for another drink the waitress stopped and started talking to a busboy before coming to my table. I am a waitress myself so I understand things can get hectic, but this was inexcusable.

The worst location I have visited. The place is a third full and the wait staff cannot even handle it. No one should wait over 10 minutes to have someone greet and take a drink order.
It took over 20 minutes just to get the side salad. Watching the area, other tables had their heads popping up and looking around as if we were a village of meerkats. Disappointing because this location is close and I love the roasted wings (hence the 2 stars) but I won’t be back to this one. I guess they make enough off all the little league kids during the week to not worry about service.

The last two times I have gone here the food has made me sick, usually its a really long wait time for service, and an even longer wait for beer. I understand its not a bar. but a 30 min wait on a slower night is insane. Also even though they have a ton of beer selections most of the ones I want to drink are out by the time I get there.
I wont be coming back.

Great place to chill out on the deck and watch the game with a plate of wings and a cool beer.

We know what to expect here, because we go almost every Thursday night. The menu is not very healthy, and is limited, but hey, it’s Taco Mac, and they have every beer you could ever imagine wanting at this place! I usually stick to the wedge salad and wings. I’ve never liked the other things on their menu much. I was excited that they had fish and chips and calamari as a special recently. We tried to order offer the special menu, and they were out of both items!!! What the heck? So dumb. Oh well.

So I, have been to many taco Macs in the coty beforw. This is by far the worst. So after I sit at my table for 10 minutes without so much as a hello my waitress suddenly shows up. Out of a waitstaff of about twenty, she is one of two that look like me. I also notice that she has the only other table of people that look like me. I usually dont notice this type of thing and had she showed up sooner, I probably wouldn’t have. The manager did attempt to comp us for the meal but I declined. I’ll wait and see what corporate has to say about this on Tuesday.

Went to Taco Mac on Sat night for a quick burger and beer. Was seated quickly even though the place was packed. Ordered two beers to start. Our server mentioned that one of the beers we were interested in was really sweet (according to his father) and might be more suited to a dessert type or after dinner beer. We hesitated and asked if we could try a sample of this beer (it was on draft not bottle) before ordering a pint of it. The requested was denied. Really? A beer joint with tons of beers on draft?! Ok, disappointed but went with something else. Ordered our burgers and moved on. The food comes. sans silverware. Server came over, asked for silverware. Was told there was no silverware available at the time, were all being washed and they had given out all their take away plastics! Incredible. That was it. We were to eat our cole slaw and mac and cheese with our hands! This place sucks. The services in horrendous and I can’t believe what they are able to get away with.

I have been going to Taco Mac for 15 years all over Atlanta and this is by far the worse. The beer selection is great but the customer service is horrible. This isn’t just a one time thing. I have visited this location about 8 times just because it’s close to home. Each visit gets worse. Today we were seated and waited over 25 minutes. We were unable to order because all the servers were in s meeting??? Cmon. All servers in a meeting for that long??? I don’t think they realize people come to restaurants to EAT!!!
I can’t wait until the new Hudson Grill opens in a few weeks! I have had with their arrogance and terrible service.

Awful service and the nastiest cheese dip I’ve ever had. Hostess was rude. Will not be back.

I like Taco Mac but this is by far one of the worst locations in the city. The food is always slow to come out and cold when it gets there. The staff seems nice but they have little or no experience. I suggest you find a different location.

I consider this Taco Mac location to have 4 star beer selection and 2 star service.
I’ve lived near this location for two years and the table service has never improved. My experience has been above average food with below average service.
The staff and the management are friendly and I believe they want to deliver good service but I don’t think there is a desire to deliver terrific service.
The roasted wings are tasty. The burgers are juicy. The beer is cold. They always accommodate my football selection whether I’m sitting at the bar or in the restaurant.
So I’ve written mostly positive comments. My frustration lies in the slow service when I’m seated, the infrequent checks on my table and the lack of attention to detail. Too frequently the server forgets the silverware. No big deal except I may not see that server for another 10 minutes. Look around the restaurant and you’ll see empty glasses.
I love the beer, especially when I have a DD. Too bad I’m limited to three beers per hour. That’s about as often as you’ll see a server. The staff isn’t overwhelmed, they’re just not trained.
Ok. So why do I come here so frequently. I’m too cheap to order college and NFL packages on my cable service. So the food is good enough and the TVs are high def. It’s my fault for living out in the sticks of West Cobb.
There is a certain symbiosis that exists in the super-​suburbs. «I’m lucky to have a place»: «you’re lucky to have a place». This Taco Mac has plenty of business. Is there really a reason to improve the service? So there’s this harmony.
Expect slow and hope for fast. Come and enjoy wings and beer. Have patience and recognize there isn’t much competition. And on a good day… I’ll see you in Midtown or Buckhead. :)

We love Taco Mack and they rarely disappoint with their food and service. We had spinach and artichoke dip which is served with warm tortilla chips and pita chips. Then we shared a chicken philly that was warm, seasoned well and overall delish. I love their fries!!! After a few vodka tonics fries make the world better! Oh did I mention their vodka tonics were amazing tonight :)
