I went in for lunch today with my mom but I was not impressed and won’t be rushing back. First of all, I specifically ordered my bison burger mid rare and was served me a burger that was on the more well done side of medium, almost well done. I was not impressed. Come on! Really? I know maybe I sound like I am nitpicking but I expect to get what I order when I go out to eat! I don’t like to complain in restaurants, it makes me feel uncomfortable, and it’s just not how I roll. I also don’t think I should have to complain if a restaurant’s staff is really on their toes giving their best to every dish /table. That was not the case at Ted’s this afternoon when I had lunch with my mom. It’s the most important part of the job of a server to communicate with the kitchen and let them know what the customer wants. I know what that’s like, I’ve been a server and I can spot when people mess up, this guy totally dropped the ball and definitely just either forgot or totally did not care about how I requested my burger cooked. Either way it’s totally unacceptable. The service was iffy in general and our servers name was BJ. I know maybe people think I’m weird for wanting a mid rare burger, but if I’m paying for it, it really doesn’t matter. I should get what I ask for, isn’t that the point of going out? Oh and let’s not forget this was a $ 16 burger!!! It should be exactly how I want it, no excuses. A manager came by in the beginning of the meal and asked how things were but I had only just started eating anything, maybe one or two fries at that point, and had not touched the burger. I really wish he came by later once we started eating. The $ 16 bison burger was a huge $ 16 disappointment, it was over cooked for my taste and I felt my server(BJ) failed to communicate to the kitchen the temp I requested. We could have just stayed home. If Ted’s is reading this, they are probably wondering why I didn’t send it back. Like I said, complaining about food makes me feel uncomfortable and is borderline embarrassing to me. When I pay $ 16 for a burger and fries it should be right the first time. Overall this was a very very mehhhh experience. The best part was hanging out with my mom and the fact they had Sweet Water 420 on draft, which is a great Georgia beer I hardly ever see on tap. That being said, I still won’t be rushing back.

Sit at the bar. The booths are very cozy and inviting, but after eating there about 10 times, we’ve finally given up on the service at tables. Extremely slow. We sat at the bar a few times recently due to the holiday crowds and were pleased to discover that the bartenders, in addition to being congenial, can procure your meal from the kitchen in just a few short minutes and keep your soda and water glasses full. The food is good, especially the soups and the burgers. The fries are decadent. I’d give them 4 stars at the bar and 2 at the tables.

It’s a decent burger I tell ya. The truth is that Ted’s isn’t going to blow your socks off, and it’s not particularly cheap, but it is competent, satisfying americana fare with great service and a very relaxed, warm atmosphere. I always come for two things: the burgers and the salt & pepper onion rings. Burgers have beautifully ground beef that is tender and textured well. Fries are a bit on the floppy side, but have that homemade feel that is comforting and unpretentious. The onion rings? Well, they might as well fill them with crack rock because they’re addictive in the way that you only thought Krispy Kreme donuts could be.

Server was quite inexperienced, food was fine except the asparagus was undercooked and stalky. Wente Cab was our highlight. I would try Ted’s again.

A regular stop for a relaxing night out. Bartenders are experienced, food quality is always consistent and of high quality, and a welcoming restaurant for a date night or a family night out.

Didn’t have any bison. I know that’s crazy considering the place, but since I was meeting other people and didn’t pick this place. I ordered a salad with salmon, but was nervous cause that isn’t their forte. Well, the salmon was cooked perfectly and salad fresh. Good service and good food. Would not hesitate to return.

This review was supposed to be a NEGATIVE review but because of Shannon’s kindness it went up! I went today for the first time and had the bison burger(mexi twist). I asked for medium temp. I got it well done. There was NO seasoning on my burger! The guac was yucky; the sweet potato fries were not uniform which caused them to cook unevenly. I left upset and hungry! I later called to speak to a manager because I was upset. Shannon suggested I try the red rock chicken sandwich and she even offered to bring it to me! Now thats what I call GREAT service! I was going to make this my first and LAST visit but that right there made me feel valued. That sandwich was awesome and this time I got the broccoli. Talk about deliciousness! Will go back! Kudos Shannon

I am a bit nostalgic about this place. When they first opened, they spared no expense on ingredients and it was fantastic. Reality met the corporate bottom line as they expanded the brand, and the quality suffered. Paying premium prices is a little less justified now, but the burgers are still tasty and the fries are fresh. It gets good reviews for taste, and especially in the foodie depleted suburbs of the ATL, that gets ya 4 stars.

OK — this is specific to the Dallas Highway location. I like this chain, and generally I’ve had very good experiences there. The last THREE times I’ve gone here, the floor has been very slippery. This time I mentioned it to my waiter and he said, «yes, I switched to non-skid shoes for work because our floors are slippery.» But seriously — the floors are coated with some kind of slippery almost soap like finish and it is dangerous. When I went to the restroom the floor was wet and combined with the slippery stuff on my shoes I went sliding into the wall when I walked in and fell and busted my knee. An employee was at the sink and helped me up and asked if I was okay. I was okay but I was mad because there is no reason for the floor to be slippery in the entire eating area and then wet in the bathroom. WTF? I’m not litigious. I’m not clumsy. But somebody is going to end up getting hurt in this location if they don’t do something about the floors. I will not be returning to this establishment until they do something comprehensive to fix the issue. How was the food? You know — the food is okay. I can’t help but think having a sore, bleeding knee did something to diminish my enjoyment of the food, but to be honest there seemed to be an issue with the food’s temperature this trip. We had nachos and cheese fries for appetizers and the cheese did not melt on either dish which means that the chili and the fries were not hot enough. But other than that the service was good and the food was as ordered and the drinks were kept full. I’m surprised that nobody came out to the table to talk to us about the floor situation, but my wife will be writing Ted’s a letter about this. Last time I went to the Barrett Pkwy location the floor wasn’t slippery — so if you’re not wearing slip-resistant soles, I’d suggest that location if you need to get your bison on.

One of my favorite burger places! Delicious every time in here. I switch out the burger when I come here. Haven’t had a bad one yet. I like the Cesar salad. The dressing is oil based, but good. I get Cesar salad everywhere I go that it is available. Get a coke float when you are done eating and wash up with the borax soap in the restroom!

I started this review in 2010, and I think it’s high time I finished it… I’ve been going to Teds since they opened. Great food and very dependable. Is it a cheap burger? No way. 10+ for a burger is expensive buy it’s well worth it. Great quality and where else can you get such great quality bison? Hit and miss per location, but usually outstanding.

I will start by saying I LOVE the food that Ted’s produces. My husband and I regularly frequent this restaurant, and we haven’t had a bison burger that we didn’t enjoy. Awesome quality food, great prices. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is for their shortage of sweet potatoes sometimes – really irritating.

Every year on Thanksgiving, my husband and I have made it a tradition, as well as a secret, that we go eat Ted’s after all the family gatherings. We have gone to the Barrett Parkway location and have been beyond happy with the food, even if we order take out. The delicious bread, the unique salad dressing, the cranberry(which I’ve never liked before Ted’s), the amazing stuffing, green beans, squash, turkey and gravy have always been the best. This year, to save time, we ordered from this location, it’s near my mother’s and she too wanted to join our tradition. My husband picked it up, brought it home and we were floored. 3 people, $ 95 later(the website said $ 25 per person… my husband was so mad he signed the receipt, grabbed the food and left). THEFOODWASAWFUL. Bland. Dry. No cranberry. No green beans. There were some nasty carrots that simply had parsley sprinkled over them. And worse, no pickled cucumbers we specifically requested! I understand if perhaps they ran out of stuff, but maybe a slight compensation??? An apology??? After this experience, we will NEVER return to this location, and are now skeptical to return to Barrett Parkway because of how bad this was.

Some of the best chili and three little burger bites around. Teds service is top notch and they’ll correct any wrong done. The milkshakes and the root beer float are some of the best I’ve ever had as well. We go to a ton of restaurants and teds has always been a treat, I honestly don’t understand how people don’t have a great experience here. Seriously. People need to like, try this place again and try something else. They have some amazing dishes D:

I enjoy going to Ted’s for a big bowl of chili, plus the wedge salad. All the food here is pretty good though if you prefer something else. There is plenty of variety in sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and entrees to make everyone happy. Been to several locations, but this one is my local. They can be very busy some nights, many empty tables on others. Not sure what it is, but the service can be a bit inconsistent here. When we came in, I told the hostess party of two. She looked at me and said okay, then seemed to get distracted by something else. So I’m standing there expecting to be seated, but her mind is elsewhere. Finally I get her attention back, and she says«oh yeah, it’s a 15 minute wait». We had no confidence in her, so we elected bar seats instead. As I mentioned earlier, the food here is really good. I just wish the service was consistent each time.

My wife and I ordered one of their salads with the sirloin steak. My steak was so tough that I had to spit it out in a napkin — I was literally unable to chew it. I let the waitress know and she just said sorry. My wife’s steak was to be cooked medium rare but came out well done. When we told the waitress she agreed after looking and ASKEDUSTOPUTTHEUSEDSTEAKBACKON A PLATESHEWASHOLDING. We were to keep the salad and wait for another steak to be cooked. WOW! The manager came over and asked if we wanted to put our salad in the refrigerator while they cooked another steak. Is the salad worth that much that they did not want to just make her a new plate??? She only ate 1 – 2 bites!!! So, with both of our meals completely botched, the waitress asked if we wanted a desert on the house. We don’t eat desert and declined. They made no adjustment to the bill — came back and said«we hope you enjoyed and hope to see you back» — are these people ok? We will NEVERGOBACK. Even after it was very apparent that we were annoyed they did nothing but say sorry. Btw, the Longhorn steakhouse down the street on Dallas Highway overcooked one of our steaks once and guess what — the meal was on the house, plus 20 in gift cards for next time. That’s what I call service.

Have you ever been driving down I-75 north in afternoon bumper to bumper traffic and off in the distance saw someone in the woods going to the bathroom and laughed so loud it made the traffic worth while? Well, I hope you waved because that person in the woods was me! I’d like to give a big shout out, or blow out rather, to Teds Montana Grill for their delicious salad today. The warm grilled chicken topped over bacon, shredded cheddar cheese and guacamole chunks were perfectly paired with garlic croutons. The chilled honey mustard was also a delight, and will be enjoyed, I am sure, by the many animals that live amongst 75 north. My man friend also had the salad but would like to thank the people of Publix Super Market for not judging him as he literally ran through the produce section while taking the Lords name in vain. Thanks again for a delicious and memorable afternoon, Teds. While I look forward to the Unilocal from the woodland creatures regarding my salad remnants, we will not be back again.
