I came in with no expectations. However Value village blew me away. I am in no way an expert thrifter, but I was blown by this store. I came to shop for my teenage son. He is a little husky and very particular about his style. He had a ball in here. There tons of items that fit him and his style. He even found a pair of dress shoes. I was surprised to see they carry furniture, socks and other items brand new in the original packaging.

I didn’t find a lot of stuff that I really liked here, although it’s a fair sized store. I found a plaid blazer that was marked for just below $ 6. Since it was cheaper than Goodwill, I was content with paying that much. When I got to the register, it turned out that it was marked off because of the tag sale, so it was actually $ 3! Which is a great bargain for a blazer. However, like I said, their selection isn’t the best I’ve ever seen, particularly not in a Value Village.

Wanted to buy a hoodie. The tag was torn off, but I thought this wouldn’t be a problem because it was easily remedied. When I took it to the cashier she asked a coworker(who appeared to be in charge) for a price check. He refused to sell it to me because it didn’t have a tag. When I asked if I could take it to someone to be retagged he again said no and refused to sell me the jacket. I assumed this was store policy until another coworker seemed confused, even repeatedly asking him what was wrong with the jacket that made him refuse to sell it to me. He only said«it doesn’t have a tag» and promptly left. He was just being lazy.

Not impressed. It is a very, bright and organized store though. I did find two great belts, but nothing else impressed me, especially the shoes, ugh!

It’s ok. You can find a lot of Goodwill-type stuff here but a lot of junk, too. Be picky and choosy. It can be messy in the aisles but the people are friendly.

As far as thrift stores go, this one was great! It’s contents are varied and abundant, and even unusual. There are pogo sticks, REALLY nice stuffed animals, crutches, walkers, and the most selection of tennis shoes I’ve ever seen at any thrift store. As in, two entire shelves devoted to nothing but tennis shoes. New Balance, Nike. I even finally found some nice bowling shoes here. As far as clothes go, expect to find mostly newer clothes, and not so many vintage finds. I picked up some really nice jewel-tone blouses, and a really pretty strappy red dress. ;) The clothing selection is alright, and pretty much hit or miss, just like most thrift stores, but that extra star was simply for all the other unusual things there. Never before at any other thrift stores have I found pogo sticks or crutches, so this place has some fairly unique finds.

I love this place. It’s therapeutic to go and comb through all of the racks, and it’s always very satisfying to get a good find. I’ve found some really great vintage pieces here and some nice, newer pieces I can wear to work. I love the housewares section and have found really cool serving trays and things of that nature. The jewelry section is always great for some big, funky vintage necklaces. I’d say it’s definitely worth a trip. It’s definitely less expensive than other thrift stores, too.

This was singlehandedly the most orgasmic thrift store experience of my life. That may sound weird, but I don’t know how else to describe the best pull of awesome stuff from any one thrift store in any one visit. I know that thrift store shopping is all relative, depending on what you are looking for and what stuff the store may have available that day. But the size of this store and the amount of stuff makes me believe everybody could find something in there. I spent nearly 2 hours in this store on a Saturday evening, yes, 2 hours. I was late to a dinner date because there were so many racks of clothes to dig through. As with all thrift stores, you will have to sift through a bunch of crap to find the goods, but man were there goods! I consider myself a thrift store t-shirt junkie, and I walked out of there with 9 really nice vintage/odd-ball t-shirts. Along with my shirt fetish, I like collecting professional sports jerseys. I scored 3– an Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, and a Detroit Pistons… all for less than $ 3 a piece! I found quite a few really awesome books as well. Some kids books from the 1980’s and early 90’s that I remembered from my childhood were only $.60 a piece. To top off the great visit I also nailed a sweet pair of brown leather Adidas shoes for $ 5! You never know what you’ll find at a thrift store on any given day, but this store is HUGE. It’s selection is sure to keep you entertained for a good bit as you dig for treasure.
