Van Michael Salon

On two occasions I tried booking an appointment. Once, I went there in person and the ladies at the register wouldn’t even look at me! They attended to people who came after me though… Even when one of them did talk to me, they were totally disinterested and of course, they didn’t have an opening.
I called up again today, hoping to give them another chance. After asking all sorts of questions about my hair, they said they didn’t have anyone available. If you don’t have anyone available, can’t you check earlier, before asking me a zillion questions that have nothing to do with availability of a hairdresser? Come on!!!

If only I could give this salon a higher rating! I definitely lucked out when I called Van Michael Salon in East Cobb. It was a couple days before Thanksgiving and I wanted to get a balayage service. The girl at the front desk… I think her name was Ashley, was very helpful and understanding with my last minute appointment making. Ashley asked all the right questions, and made sure I knew where their location was and who I would be scheduled with. Bette was my colorist. Hands down thee best hair service Ive ever gotten. Bette knew exactly what I wanted and gave me a play by play of what she was doing as the service progressed. I’m a dark brunette who wanted to go pretty blonde. Bette did exactly that– no brassiness, no orange, no bs. If I was a permanent resident of GA, this place– and Bette would be my go to’s no doubt. I highly recommend Bette if you’re looking for an experienced, pro– colorist. Thanks Bette!

I am not planning to come back, i will try another location, I love great service but this place is money hungry, the drier burned my scalp, nobody bother to check if the heat was okay but they were rushing to book next appoitment. For the price It is not worthed. I am used to get two champues after my color, I got one, as a result my hair got very grasy right away. No coming back

Went to see Kelly, their make up artist/​esthetician, and have never been happier with my brows. She is amazing.

This is a beautiful salon at The Avenue in E. Cobb. Unfortunately I have had my hair cut by three different stylists there and not one knew how to cut curly hair. Does no one in the state of Georgia know how to cut curly hair? Do they only teach how to cut straight hair?
The lady that does the eye brow waxing is very good, but the rest of them suck. I won’t be back.

I love this salon! I have been going for about two years now and plan on continuing to go for a long time. Great staff and I have never been unhappy with a haircut there. Love that the stylists take the time to make you look your best before you walk out the door. I used to try to get by on less expensive haircuts, but the quality that you get at Van Michael is worth paying a little bit extra for in my opinion. Highly recommend Austin!

I called for a color appointment with the new talent. I was quite excited to do my hair color for the first time. They called me the same day about two hours before the appointment to tell me that the new talent scheduled to do my hair called out sick and I was quite dissappointed that they couldnt get me in there the same day with someone else. After seeing they had no other opening at any other location they rescheduled me way far out but with a professional which they said they would charge me at new talent price. I accepted and when I went in at 4pm, the professional colorist did not know I had long hair and told me he could not color all of it. On top of that, the difference in price was only $ 20 bucks?! I did not like how my hair color came out and they rushed the whole process since they closed at 6! I ended up paying for something I did not expect or like and I left with my hair wet since they rushed the whole drying process. I am very dissapointed in how everything turned out and do not reccommend anyone to do color at the Van Michael in Marietta. I paid $ 150 for a horrible experience.

Great first experience at Van Michael East Cobb. Just moved to the area and called for a highlights and cut appt. They were able to schedule me the following week with Bette for color and Liza for cut. The salon was easy to find and there is lots of parking at The Avenue of East Cobb. Bette did an amazing job with my color! She was extremely thorough and reviewed pictures with me and made suggestions. She took her time with the color and never rushed. My color has honesty never looked better. Liza was awesome with the cut, as well. She came over before my color to discuss ideas and we looked through pictures together. She gave me the exact cut I wanted and paid attention to details like how I parted my hair and how I didn’t want it to land in a certain place in the back because it would flip up. She gave me a fantastic cut. I was very impressed with this salon. They do lots of little touches here and there to enhance your experience without trying to hard. Definitely a little on the pricey side and I wish I could schedule appointments online. But, talent of the staff is well worth it! Will definitely be back… likely in 6 – 8 weeks!

Try a new talent, «London». Best hair cut ever and the massage is truly a blessing. Usually I have to fix it at home after someone cuts but with her I don’t ever have to. I love the salon it makes me feel so special.

Mandy is a phenomenal colorist! I always walk out looking beautiful. Via does a great job cutting my hair. Everyone there is so nice an makes sure you have a great experience.
