Stingy with the toppings… crust OK but $ 31 for a large veggie pizza and we were counting the toppings to prove we got some. lol

I’m not sure why this place is rated so low. My experience was just fine and no gripes about it. Located right on Washington Blvd a few blocks off of Pacific Ave, parking isn’t an issue at all. Ample lot and street parking available. I got a slice of basil & tomato, and a slice of pineapple & cheese. Really liked the basil and tomato – and slices are gigantic. The pineapple was also delicious. Two slices came out to $ 8.76 including taxes. Wasn’t concerned about the price. It was all about convenience since it was on my way to work. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the mood for pizza. It’s nice that I’m able to buy pizza by the slice, and not just the whole pie. Overall: A

The family was visiting the Venice Canals. Nothing around the Washington/Ocean area to eat, but my girls saw pizza; so here we are! $ 50 to feed a family of 4 with large pepperoni pizza, Cesar salad, fried calamari, &4 drinks?! Nothing spectacular on the pizza to warrant $ 20. The calamari was advertised as spicy. There was nothing spicy about it… not even the sauce. It was a hot day; so, being indoors with cold drinks was a plus.

In Marina Del Ray for business and this place is right next to my hotel The Marriott. Found it while visiting the same grocery store next door. When I walked in the gentleman that greeted me was very nice and helpful. I placed my take order quickly and easily. I ordered a single slice and a piece of cheesecake. They got them out pretty quick. The pizza was good, could use a a few more pieces of pepperoni, but overall pretty good. The cheese Cake was very tasty, one small issue it was frozen when I got back to the hotel, so had to wait an hour for it defrost to eat, not a huge issue. I would definitely recommend this place, it’s quick easy and tasty.

This place is a rip off. I paid $ 8 for a Ceasar salad and $ 9 for a turkey sandwich and the sandwich only had 3 thin round slices of processed turkey. Some lettuce tomato and bread. The Ceasar salad was bitter lettuce with some grated parmesan and a few croutons. I don’t know how their pizza is now, but 6 mints ago we had it and it was dry and hard.

As soon as we walked in, we should have turned around and walked back out. The place was run down and there were no customers on a Saturday night. We were looking for an Italian restaurant and the prices seemed good for the area and we were hungry so we tried it. I ordered the chicken parmesan pasta. The chicken breast was clearly just microwaved since it was rubbery and soggy. Can’t vouch for the pizza but I definitely won’t be going back.

I’ve eaten here before and it’s not bad. Decent sauce and crust. Only real problem is they need to update the hours on here. Went in at 1030p and Unilocal said they were open till 12a. Guy at the counter said they only had a few slices left and the kitchen was closed. Fine but maybe turn your open sign off and put up a closed sign.

Best Pizza in LA(east coast native here). Don’t mind the rating, not sure what that’s all about. Tasty Caesar too!

I ordered one slice of pizza with cheese only. It was $ 4.63 for one piece of pizza. The pizza had no flavor and quite honestly was pretty disgusting. I would never go back there.

This place serves old stale and obscenely priced pizza, the staff tends to be snobby and parking is horrible. When I want freshly made pizza, authentic taste, many pizza choices, friendly staff and great pricing I now go to the new pizzeria on Sepulveda right outside LAX named La Rocco’s. $ 6.95 for any two amazing freshly made slices and choice of drink! They have more choices of pizza in the window and all freshly made! Also plenty of parking for hundreds of cars.

Not cheap. But it says NY outside, so it’s to be expected. Pizza by the slice for lunch? Yes please! Good pizza, a variety of topping choices make for a good lunch. I love the little patio outside. It’s nice having outdoor seating, especially when it’s clean. Good clean bathrooms make it nice when you are out all day too! Will probably come back if I the area, but won’t drive out of my way to get here.

This is an update to my earlier tip. The food here is truly awful. They purport to be a New York style pizzaria, but they are clueless. One of their specialty pizzas is «sausage and peppers.» Anyone who has ever been to New York, or who has even met an Italian American knows that phrase has a particular meaning. I’ll explan for you heathens from LA. It means sliced onions and green bell peppers cooked slow in olive oil and garlic until tender. Mix that with a link of Italian sausage, put it on a good roll, and you have a «sausage and pepper» sandwich. Sometimes those awesome sweet and spicy red peppers are thrown in for good measure. Lots of good pizza places have realized this amazing mix of sweet, salty and savory tastes AMAZING on a pizza. It’s become my favorite. What this joke they call a restaurant does is simply throw crappy sausage and raw diced green peppers on their already terrible pizza. And no onions! You might think I’m being too picky, but image that sausage sandwich I mentioned earlier with raw onions and bell peppers. You have a completely different taste. Plus, every other time I’ve ordered a «sausage and peppers» pizza, it’s exactly what I expected. Plus, there would be no reason to have a separate menu item for that particular type of pizza. That’s why you have a topings list. Either that, or your menu is 50 pages long. Part of what angers me so much about this place is their hubris. I called to complain and asked if I could return the pizza for a refund because it wasn’t what I ordered. They refused, claiming I got what I ordered. I politely explained that«sausage and peppers» has a particular meaning. He had no idea what I was talking about and just kept arguing with me. And hey, even if I was wrong or totally nuts, why not just give the refund and end it? Maybe because the tiny pizza cost $ 27. I don’t know. But it’s infuriating that these posers don’t even understand the culture they’re supposedly trying to represent. I end with this: if you went to Denny’s and ordered bacon and scrambled eggs, and they brought it to you with the bacon minced into tiny bits and mixed in with the egg, how would you feel? What if they also took your money and refused to give you a refund? What if they told you that, technically, you got exactly what you ordered in an arrogant and condescending tone? THAT’S how I felt. Hopefully that ‘C’ rating in their window from the health department will be followed by an «out of businesses» sign. Until then, I will pray.

Excellent pizza! The crust is hard and the cheese is soft and melty — just like it ought to be. The pizzas here also have a nice thin crust and gourmet flair, but at reasonable prices. Really don’t understand the bad reviews? I especially appreciate that they stay open late. Will be back!

Tried their BBQ chicken pizza for the first time today & garlic knots w a friend. I’m very disappointed! the knots very very dry & needs moisture. The pizza had almost zero chicken on it and some scattered getting old cilantro. The bbq sauce needs to be sweeter & mote of it! Cmon guys get it 2ghtr! I’m ok w paying $ 22.95 plus tax and delivery but as a Chef I will this was a huge disappointment.

Ordered pizza wings and salad. Not good. Nothing positive. The pizza was tasteless and the wings were not fried long enough with minimal sauce(we were too afraid to eat them all and tossed them) not sure they were cooked all the way… and the salad… the«caesar» salad was $ 8 and although the lettuce was green it had stale croutons and a dusting of powdered Parmesan with watered down caesar dressing. Will never order again. What a disappointment.

Fair price for a fresh pizza. I had the veggie pizza, it was soo good! Plus the people working there seemed very nice, so the customer service & tasty pizza is worth the 5 stars and extra buck compared to what i would pay for at dominoes or some other pizza place. Definitely recommend this place.

Pizza is nothing special. It’s fine, but not amazing. The restaurant is small with some outdoor seating just off of busy Washington Blvd. It’s a nice space and the staff is friendly. It’s not obvious if you should sit down and order or order at the counter, but either way you get your food in the end. It’s also pretty pricey, especially considering what you get(3 slices + 2 drinks + tax = $ 17). Plenty of parking. Somewhere to eat if you are nearby, but not worth going out of your way for.

Frankie and Johnny should have their pizza making licenses revoked. What a mess! I had spent the day running errands at such a frenetic pace, I had forgotten that I was hungry. When I found myself in the Marina, I didn’t feel like eating anything that had parents, saw F&Js, and figured yeah, what the hell? A usurous $ 10 and change later, I was chowing down on two slices of cheese and a soda. A born and bred pizza purist, I’m generally down on the pizza in L.A.. But this place took it to new lows. This pizza must have crawled out of the oven during the Civil War. And must have been sitting on the counter awaiting an idiot like me to finally eat it ever since. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you eating this creation was like gnawing on a dog’s leather chew toy. Normally, I would have asked for my money back. But I was tired and in no mood for contention, so I swallowed it. Literally.

Worst pizza I have ever had in my life– yes, it’s that serious. Pizza is the equivalent of Lil Cesar’s, save your money and just go there. I love Johnnies NY Pizza over on Abbot Kinney– get delivery from there a lot. I always wondered about this place because the two names are familiar. So disappointed. Meatballs taste like frozen meatballs from the store. They were tough, bland and chewy, I make better ones at home. They were just disgusting– had like a fake taste to them. I ordered a side of extra marinara and the guy tells me it’s $ 2.50. So I’m like whatever, but he gives me a tin, yes, tin, full of the stuff. The sauce was gross. I don’t have words for how bad the actual pizza was, but the garlic knots were 10x worse– stale, old and inedible. We ordered a large Meat Lovers pizza and there was hardly any meat on it, I’ve posted pics below. I give two stars because the employees were friendly and the order was ready exactly when they said it would be, which was 20 mins.

Called to order a delivery everything was fine … 2 hours later when I called to see what happened the guy rudely told me that they would not deliver anymore and I should come get my order myself, when I refused they said that my card was going to be charged and they would not deliver, … I was so nice to him and he was soooo rude… Called my bank immediately … Never again Then 40 mins later I get a call from them saying that they would walk it over because it was close by and it was such a large order, oh def notttttt. I’m sure it would have come w extra«specials» from the staff themselves. I’ll pass
