Average, nothing to get excited over BBQ restaurant. The last time we were here, I actually thought my sandwich tasted bad. I make better BBQ pork at home. Their baked beans are good though!

Overall the food was great thought the green beans could have cooked a little more, kind of hard but had good taste. I had the brisket and my buddy had the ribs. This is no place fancy but was a great spot for lunch.

Disappointing… My first visit here and I was not impressed. The pulled pork and ribs were good, but the green beans were undercooked. The baked beans were okay. The cornbread rolls that they gave me were not fully cooked either; they were literally still wet inside. Overall, this is not a place I would go to again.

I’ve been to the one in Marysville(now closed) and happened to come to this one to meet a friend. We just had drinks and dessert, so I can’t comment on the food in general; I assume it’s like the other one, which had decent if not spectacular barbecue. Sweetie had apple pie with ice cream, and I had pecan pie. Both were very good, and tasted homemade(and it turns out were made in-house.) Service was very good; it was late Sunday and they weren’t busy. Place was nice, comfortable seating, etc. I’ll go back sometime.

I had the Texas Beef Brisket and thought it was delicious, no sauce needed! Baked beans were good and the coleslaw was coleslaw

Above average BBQ. I’ve only ever ordered takeout. It is usually ready within 10 minutes and I pick it up on my way to the MTC campus for lunch. My favorites include: Beef Brisket sandwich, Pulled Pork sandwich, and extra pickles for either sandwich. I like to switch up which of the 4BBQ sauces I use.

I think Brian B. is being a little harsh, or got a bad day. I too have my own smoker, and do competition, so I know good que. Good brisket WILL have some fat in it, as it should. Anyway, went there yesterday for lunch. This place is huge, and family ran., and is a true BBQ(their own smoke pit) joint. We got the chicken wing appetizer, which were phenomenal… smoked, then finished up in the fryer. I recommend getting them«naked» then trying the 4 different BBQ sauces on the table. My only complaint here, was out of 10 wings, only 2 were drummys… the rest were flappers. The BBQ is good, but not great. I got the brisket sandwich and mac-n-cheese. The brisket had a great smoke ring, and good flavor, but it was a little dry. The mac-n-cheese(plugged by the manger(owner?),) was bland. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich(NC style, with coleslaw) and a salad. She said the salad was so-so, but was disappointed they didnt offer any type of vinaigrette dressing. The service was poor because they were understaffed. In fact, it was only the manager waiting on the tables. Things were very slow to happen, and they forgot to ad the coleslaw to my wife’s sandwich… which took another 5 minutes to resolve. Another pet-peeve I have, is when a(large) restaurant seats all the customers in one spot. This place probably seats over 100, but the 15 – 20 people dining for lunch were seated all next to each other, not a big deal… I know they do that to save time for the servers. At the end of the meal, the manger brings over a serving platter of all their deserts. Again, pushing and plugging that they are homemade and great. He did sell us on 1 piece(we split it) of hot Pecan pie served with ice cream, which was indeed very good! We would try them again if in the area.

I stumbled upon this place while driving to my hotel. A little background — I love to BBQ at home on my smoker. When I travel, I hit BBQ spots like nobody’s business. I think I know good BBQ when I taste it. And this place didn’t deliver. I went with the«Choose 2» combo for $ 13.99. I ordered the brisket and Carolina gobbler(turkey). The meal came with two sides so I went with the mac n cheese and baked beans. The restaurant has ample room but did not see many cars parked outside and saw 4 – 5 people in the establishment(only at the bar). Oh yeah, the tap water here tastes like raw sewage. My brisket had good flavor but had tons of fat pieces in it. Wasn’t really edible… or enjoyable, if you want to put it that way. What a pain in the ass to eat. The turkey could have been a lot more moist, but this was totally edible. Pink hue to meat it and great smoke flavor. The beans were below average. Both the beans and the mac n cheese definitely weren’t home made. The cheese was too creamy and beans were too thick and very soft. The mac n cheese needed some darn salt, too. Would definitely not recommend this place.
