A little pricey, but I’ve never walked away without a negative impression on the food-for the most part. The only thing I’ve ever gotten and not been pleased about was the baked potato. Dry with a tough skin, which made it difficult to cut and eat. The salads are AMAZING. Went there the other night and my waitress was really rude, but the manager made up for it by taking care of the situation. I love the store. Again, a little pricey, but it has a really nice atmosphere. 4 stars because of my potatoes, and the slight priciness.

I went here for dinner tonight and ordered the delicious chicken and dumplings platter. Food was great as usual. I’ve loved Cracker Barrel ever since I was a teenager, and every chance I get I pop into one to eat and have a nostalgic moment. After I ate I browsed the store, hoping to find one of those huge jaw breakers to find they now put them on a stick like a big lollipop. So I bought that, along with some mad libs and a couple other small items I found on sale. Love this place. The only thing I didn’t like was the tables are placed so close together, making it difficult to get around.

Fast service today at lunch. Our server was very friendly. The best part of lunch was the grilled sourdough and lemonade in frosty mug. Chicken pie had two tiny pieces of chicken in a grainy gravy. Marie Callendar’s frozen pot pies are better. Average food.

Visited on 10÷25÷14. Server: Tina K. Good Service. First visit for both me an wife. The Meatloaf was bland, mash potatoes kind of stiff with just a tiny dab of gravy, and Roast Beef was just okay, with no wow factor. But, it is very affordable and clean. At these prices, it is a good place for comfort food when struggling financially, but Boston Market may be a better option for comfort food at affordable prices. Maybe it just is not a good place for dinner – breakfast, maybe?

I know I’m about 40 years too young for the development of a love for Cracker Barrel, but I do anyway. I absolutely love, love, love Cracker Barrel. I get the same thing almost every time I go – grilled chicken tenderloins with fries and a orange soda in a frosted mug. My mouth is watering just thinking about that. Best chicken I’ve ever had, seasoned immaculately and absolutely the best restaurant fries you’ll ever find. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, food is served fast, food is amazingly good, and there’s a store to shop in when you’re done! What’s not to love? About the store — I love the foods they have there, most of which can’t be found anywhere but at a Cracker Barrel store.

This is similar to all other Cracker Barrel locations. Get your way past the rocking chairs on the porch, the country store full of holiday-inspired products, and you’re at the check-in desk. Once seated, you’ll get coffee refills every 5 seconds if you want them. Everyone that walks by will want to refill your cup. We find this frustrating, because it constantly changes the cream/sugar to coffee ratio. I always have a hard time deciding what to order. I love their pancakes and the hash brown casserole, but it’s unusual to find a combo platter that has two starches mixed together. They will let you make an a la carte combo if you want, but it’ll cost more.

If your fond of cold eggs– flavorless luke warm pancakes and syrup that is as bad as Walmart«great value» Syrup you have come to the right place. Thought there was a Halloween event in progress with all the walking dead. Nope it was the mouth breathing staff. Enjoy

Nothing like some good ol’ country cookin’. Biscuits and gravy, greens and Chicken and Dumplings. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. This place is like a geriatric playground though, Be warned! It’s bad enough during the week but Sundays are hell.

Oh Cracker Barrel. Why does your food have to suck? My husband pointed out my issue with Cracker Barrel(why go to a shrink when you can just get married?). I have all these fond memories of going with my now deceased Grandmother when we went on road trips and so it stirs this warm feeling in my heart when I hear the name. But the food is just average and, often, like my experience yesterday, TERRIBLE. We had to get up before dawn to get on the road home to Chicago from Memphis and stopped here when we finally couldn’t take the hunger anymore. My husband did it reluctantly and was pretty vocal about the food being crappy. I however, got the afore mentioned warm feeling in my heart when I saw the sign and since he loves me, he relented. Why? I dunno. He’s kinda stupid I guess. I promise, Honey… next time, I’ll remember how bad it is and won’t beg. The country fried steak was EASILY the WORST of its kind I’ve ever had. It reminded me of a piece of battered, fried tendon-y leather. Disgusting. I only ate half. THAT says a LOT about the quality of food if even *I* cannot choke it down. You’ve fooled me once, Cracker Barrel. Fool me twice? Shame on me.

Going to a Cracker Barrel on a roadtrip is just an American staple. This Cracker Barrel in Marion, Illinois really answered our cravings and need for a hearty breakfast. My egg white omelette tasted fabulous, even better than one with a yolk. The biscuits were hot and fresh, the service was outstanding, and just everybody in there was friendly. I also tried home-made buckeyes for the first time ever and that was a mighty tasty treat!

I have an absolute weakness for Cracker Barrel. It always reminds me of road trips when I was younger. I almost always get pancakes. Today Mama Marie and I stopped here on our way back home to Chicago. I got pecan pancakes and a side of bacon. The bacon was a little on the soft and greasy side. The pancakes were perfect as usual, but it’s disappointing to see that Cracker Barrel has changed to a Maple/Cane syrup blend instead of just good maple syrup. Service was quick and efficient; my coffee was kept full and warm. Great highway food.
