The wait staff was friendly, the menu had good options, and the food didn’t necessarily taste bad, however, it can definitely be improved. The pizza crust was a bit too soft and could use another 3 – 4 minutes on the oven as it didn’t have the normal crisp bottom, but soft center, of a good crust. I ordered extra chicken and it was a pretty small amount and there was a bit too much cheese as well, so much that I had to pick it off. My fiancée ordered a soup of the day, which was really good, and her panini was really good as well. If they dial in their pizza crust it would be worth the trip to go to.

They have gluten free pizza, milk from a local dairy, and GOOD locally roasted coffee. Great place to grab a bite!

Wow! What a wonderful find just a short bit off the highway. Incredibly friendly, responsive wait staff. Great selection of salads, paninis and pizzas. Homemade soups that were out if this world. You won’t be sorry you went there.

I’ll admit it. My love for West Virginia slaw dogs caught up with me after several days there. In a «Oh God I Think My Kidneys Are Shutting Down» kinda way. I needed salad. I needed something fresh. And I was willing to go to great lengths for it. I ended up driving for an hour and a half to Marion, Virginia after reading up on Handsome Molly’s. I waffled for a while on the menu. I love a restaurant that doesn’t make me choose. I ended up going for the Grilled Pear Wrap along with the Santa Fe Salad. The wrap gets points for the fresh ingredients, although I didn’t expect it to be a bit cold. The dipping vinaigrette was incredibly tart. I did enjoy it but it was a little strong paired with the mild flavors of pear and turkey. The salad was an interesting mix that I’m not sure quite worked, but it was different enough that I enjoyed it. After finishing my meal I opted to have a cup of coffee before heading back on the road. This is where Handsome Molly’s won my heart. The waitress brought the coffee and walked away, leaving me with no warning of what I was about to experience. I mindlessly dumped in and stirred some cream and took my first cautious sip expecting some burnt Folgers — and my jaw dropped and I stared into the cup. This. Coffee. After living in Europe I have been unable to find anything to compare, but this… Coffee! Turns out they have a custom roast from a local roaster. It was to DIE for. I almost — ALMOST drove an hour back the next day to get another cup. Unreal.

A delightful, cozy bistro and wine shop specializing in homemade soups, sandwiches, salads, and wraps. On any given day they have about 8 imaginative salads on the menu, each with an in-house dressing perfectly matched to the ingredients. The staff is friendly, courteous and efficient.

This little place was awesome! We stopped in after the lunch rush for a bowl of yummy cauliflower and cheddar soup, delicious french bread and coffee. The A/C was cranking so we had to get sweaters, but it’s pleasant, clean, has great music and it’s accessible. The waitress was very nice as was the owner. The wine selection appeared to be diverse and well-priced. It doubled as an art gallery as well. When we’re in Marion again, we’ll be back.
