Holly’s Deli & Desserts

This place is amazing! Wonderful place for lunch! We stopped here to grab lunch after we got our Christmas tree in Little Switzerland! Looking forward to going back next year.

The food here is always great. The wait is sometimes long. But I have always enjoyed my food. I try new things from here often and am never disappointed. The salads are always fresh and amazing. Never any wired or brown greens.

Awesome place for lunch. They have hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, salads, and wraps! All meat is Boar’s Head! I have the «Funky Chicken» with a side of pasta salad. AMAZING! It’s a busy spot! The food is worth the wait. I also got (don’t judge) 4 different deserts. I got a slice of the Oreo cheesecake, I didn’t get the name for the second slice. But it had chocolate chips! I also got the pumpkin cupcake and a «Apple Dapple». I couldn’t choose JUST one!!!

This is a great family owned business. The sandwiches are so good and the dessert are to die for. Whenever we make the 2 hour drive from Charlotte to Lake James we always stop at Holly’s so good and the story is just as good as the food!

I admit I’m stuck on their sandwiches — every time I come I try a new one, each better than before. Today was the Italian Style Roast beef. I know the Boar’s Head deli meats are always good but the way they fix it with the ciabatta and horseradish spread was pretty near perfect.

We stopped here on a day trip to the mountains and had a tuna melt, fries, and chocolate chip cookies. Simple fare but really good! Their fries were awesome although they could have given larger portions. We will definitely return in future. The servers and staff were also very friendly

Great stop for a pair of weary hikers visiting in the area. The big plus is no hormones, etc. in their meat products. We happily munched on two chicken salad sandwiches that were fresh, tasty, ample, and satisfying. The coleslaw was excellent (like homemade). Free Wi-​Fi allowed us to catch up on emails. Friendly staff. Pièce de résistance were the great cupcakes that melted in our mouths. A nice break from the chain deli experience.

I held off on trying this place for a long time because I thought being a deli, it was only a sandwich place. That however was not the case, they have many different choices of fresh cooked food too!
I tried their carolina burger today and two of their cupcakes. All of it was the best tasting food I’ve had in a long time.
I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Great place for lunch or a quick supper. Quality is so much better than expected for this area where quality choices are not common.

Pretty darn good. Have been three times. Each time I get the reuben. Pretty killer reuben. Add a dollop of mustard and a Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry and you’ll feel transported to a NY deli. Their fries are pretty good too. I’d give them five stars but I grew up eating at Katz’s Delicatessen.

I can’t add much new about this place. The food is excellent and the price is pretty reasonable. I had the Caribbean salad and my wife had the Club salad. We each had a soft drink and our bill came to around $ 22.00.

I’ve only been here once, but I was very impressed. They have traditional deli items, sandwiches, sides, and, from what I hear, some fab desserts. They also serve fresh squeezed lemonade. So refreshing.
I had a Cobb salad that was way better than I could’ve imagined in a deli setting. They should really think of revising the description, because the description doesn’t do it justice. Seriously. Every one at my table was jealous of my salad. How often does that happen?

Was recenlty back in Marion with a group of 13 fellow motorcycle riders… they were very helpful in getting us all seated together and the food was as good as the last time.
I am a fan of the Ruben up at Switzerland Inn, but the Ruben at Hollys is equally good… ate the whole thing!

Food alright about the same as what you could make at home. Super over priced. But the desserts are amazing best place to eat desserts.

It took a while to find this place because the place marker on Unilocal’s mobile app maps is wrongly placed, but once we found it, we were glad we did! First off, the place is nicely decorated and much more local-​feeling than a chain deli like Subway or the like. Also very clean. The staff that work there are incredibly friendly and helpful, acting like they genuinely love their job. We were not from the area, so they helped us find a state park that we were on our way to. I was also asked what kind of sandwiches I was in the mood for, and given many recommendations.
Now on to the food! They have a pretty good sized menu, with both hot and cold sandwiches. I ordered their chicken salad sandwich. One word describes it: AMAZING! It consisted of homemade chicken salad with three kinds of fruit in it: figs, pineapple, and I forget what the third was. I had never had fruit in a chicken salad before, so it was definitely a meal to remember!

Great little place and a surprise. Stopped here on the way back from Mt. Mitchell. Great Food.

Very good Deli. Try the Cob Salad. Or a Rubin Sandwich. Beer & Wine.
