Just cupcakes! That’s it. They’re really top notch cupcakes. Great for catered events but not a place to sit and have coffee or tea with your favorite cup cake-​? Nope no beverages at all.

I used to spend most of an entire day making cakes and frosting from scratch for my family’s birthdays — we are talking serious toiling here! That is, until I discovered this little bakery! Their cupcakes are every bit as delicious as my cakes and much more beautiful. I’m not sad at all that my family gladly takes these cupcakes as a substitute for mine — especially since I can actually enjoy them!

Take The Cake is a class act! Best cupcakes in the business! The «I Do» is my favorite. I regularly have these cupcakes delivered to the office to drop off to clients and they are always a hit! Great choice for weddings too!

Living in NW Chicago should mean lots of choices and options, right? Unfortunately, not when it comes to finding gourmet cupcakes. Nothing around here even compares to ‘Take the Cake’ cupcakes. You really get a bang for your buck and the cupcakes are works of art.
I just paid $ 16 for ½ dz. cupcakes that were average (at best) in NW Chi and I gladly would have traveled 4 hours to get the real deal. So, I’ll be saving my $ for gourmet and stock up at TTC when I’m in Marion again.

Best place for marion/​cedar rapids… I would say my fav. Is «I do» cupcake then probably the strawberry short cake I think it was… like the moistness of the cake. The atmosphere wad also great if you want to eat it there to.

Wow! Fantastic cupcakes! Very moist cake, light frosting, not too sweet. We loved the atmosphere of the cupcakery and the person behind the counter was very friendly. If you can only stop at one of the cupcakeries in the Cedar Rapids/​Iowa City area, make this the one!

Take the Cake cupcakes have ruined everyone else’s cupcakes for me! The cake is very moist and frosting is the perfect sweetness. They have a lot of variety, but sometimes their most popular flavors are sold out. So next time I will go earlier in the afternoon to make sure I get a full selection of flavors.
If you love cupcakes, you will love these!

First off the cupcakes here are amazing! The cake was moist and the frosting has just the right amount of sweetness. at least i thought so. They had quite a selection such as peanut butter chocolate, wedding cake, lemon drop, salt caramel, strawberry shortcake just to name a few. The staff is very friendly and they have a nice area to sit and relax. They also offer coffee. It’s great to start seeing some good bakeries pop up in the Marion area! If your a cupcake lover then you need to check this place out!
