Good quick bites at fair but not great prices. Here’s the catch: management/ownership seriously needs to get off their butts and paint the patched up walls and buy basic standard items. I think the walls have been like this for over a year! They actually put their coffee creamers, milk, and sugar in drinking cups and they’re empty half the time. The cons are seriously making me think about avoiding this place. I hope they read this review and fix these glaring problems. I’d love to give this place a better review but there are too many small issues right now.

Being from the nyc area, I have pretty high expectations for bagels, and I was expecting stop and shop quality when I walked into Uncle Jon’s, but I am pleasantly surprised. The bagels good, better than my local place in Fort lee, a little stingy on the cream cheese but that’s okay. The service was good, everyone was friendly and eager to serve. They seemed happy to be at work, unlike most soul sucking chains with clock watching under paid and under appreciated employees. The atmosphere was nice, free wifi. It’s only ½ a mile off the highway, I’ll be stopping here from now on pre ferry.

Great coffee, and friendly staff with a great love and knowledge of coffee. Got the carrot cake topped with coconut, along with a coconut cappuccino, very good!

Uncle Jon’s is a mixed blessing. It is great to have a nice coffee shop in such a small town. It isn’t great to watch too closely when they prepare anything. I’ve observed: — A barista who was washing something that spilled on the floor when I came in, put his rag from the floor on the food preparation area, only to have the rag pushed to the side and cream cheese added to my bagel on the same same surface — A sandwich maker cough directly on someone’s sandwich, wipe her nose, and then wrap the sandwich and hand it off to the customer — Bagels sliced in hand towards the palm of the person doing the slicing(this is their standard approach — come on… invest in a $ 10 holder before someone slices themselves instead of my asiago bagel) — Dairy products sit on the counter for over an hour, unrefrigerated It’s frustrating because I want to love this place. And the food, although expensive, is generally good. There aren’t many options in Marion.

Really good quiche. Depending on the barista there is a tendancy to overheat the milk for the lattes so that it tastes a bit burnt. Love the ambiance, grew up with uncle johns so dear to my heart.

Stopped in for a coffee today. While the coffee and Magic Bar were very good the place was a pit. This is the third time I’ve gone in the afternoon to find the place dirty. Three people working, 2 customers, and the tables were dirty and trash overflowing… carpet sweeper would be nice

Uncle johns has the charm of a chic downtown coffee shop however located in the little town of Marion. The coffee is exactly what you could ask of coffee; good, hot, strong and Fast. They have some specialty drinks on the board but I stick with dirty chai or an iced latte. The food is good but if you are here on the weekend do not resist the donuts. They are from Ma’s donuts in New Bedford and are TODIE for! The bagels come from NY bagel in Dartmouth and they are also a must try. They are real NY bagels made the right way. Ps the carrot cake is calling my name!

First time there, don’t think I’ll go back. Not a real clean place. When the front if the house is not clean, it makes you wonder about the rest of the establishment. Coffee was ok, but to see a winter hat and a scarf sitting out on one of the partitions means nobody really looks at the seating area. someone left them there 6 months ago…

Coffee is nothing to write home about. They do have really good ice caramel latte. For a latte and ice coffee was $ 10. So bring your wallet especially if you want food.

First let me start by saying I am a firm believer in great customer service, especially when the customer drives a half hour to your café and spends $ 6.00 on one drink. To say the owner, a blonde middle aged woman, is rude is an understatement. I order my drink a specific way because hey, I’m spending $ 6.00 shouldn’t I be able to drink it the way I like it? The owner took my order personally and was extremely rude. After telling her it did not taste right to me she handed my drink to an employee and asked the girl to try it and tell her it tasted fine. Last I checked I was paying for the drink not your employee. Not only was she rude to me but she was extremely rude to her employees. Not only will you no longer receive my money but all fellow friends and family who used to love the coffee will not return… simply because you should not own a business, nor should you be in charge of anyone or anything.

Great coffee and excellent quiche and scones — best place in town for a quick morning bite and far superior to the Dunkin Donuts down the street. My only complaint is that they use a panini press to toast everything, which flattens the bagels and makes them hard and dense — I’ve solved this by never getting anything toasted, but wish they would splurge and get a cheap toaster to properly toast their bagels/bread.

The coffee here is perfect. I buy the beans and make it at home as well. Uncle Jon’s has become a fixture of Marion and I couldn’t picture the town without it. It’s the perfect place to meet friends, meet clients or bring the kids. How many places can you say that about? I have so many favorite foods here from the curry chicken salad to the risotto cakes to the amazing goat cheese, candied pecan salad. My daughter is obsessed with the mini cupcakes, chocolate chip muffins and the brownies. Thanks to uncle Jons for taking care of all of us in the tri town area.

My husband and I are fairly new to the area but have discovered Uncle Jon’s where we have enjoyed coffee and bagels. We were hosting Passover for the first time in our new home and did not have time to bake dessert. I placed and order at Uncle Jon’s for flowerless chocolate mini cakes and chocolate chip macaroons. I am completely thrilled that I did. The dessert was beautiful to look at and truly delicious. The macaroons were some of the best we have ever had.

Very solid! I haven’t anything that was bad. I don’t think their donuts live up to the hype. Clean nice space. Fantastic friendly people work and eat here. Overall package is a good everyday place that unlikely to knock your socks off. Their coffee is stronger then d&d up the street. Wifey likes their prepared salads to go. Free wifi. Have another Unilocal listing

It’s not a Starbucks, and so I am immediately sympathetic towards it. Pastries are good but not good enough to make this place a destination. Coffee is like wine; much of the hype is driven the Emperors new clothes psychodynamic. Spectacular wine and coffe, however, are always crystal clearly apparent when you taste it. My espresso was served in a tall paper cup. This is egregious. It’s like getting your sushi cooked. Espresso should be served in porcelain demitasse or at least in a paper demitasse cup. Also, my espresso did not have crema. The place functioned like a Starbucks run by well intentioned high school students. Marion needs a serious café where true espresso can be served.

Love this place since it opened when I was in High School! They have the best blueberry muffins and chicken salad. The entire staff is always pleasant. Fresh food!

A staple eatery/café in the tri-town. I always come here when I come home. I absolutely love their chai-tea lattes(I cannot find another café that makes them like this!). I also tend to favor the chocolate chip muffins, because that was a treat I would get as a child going to school on the morning(on special occasions of course). I must say, that the donuts are to die for(the old fashioned and fluffy donuts are hard to find elsewhere) — and the peanut butter cookies are amazing! They have lunch selections as well, but I grew up coming here when the selection was only breakfast items… So… old habits die hard I guess. The only downfall, is their prices are high, And they can be really slow!!!

Excellent coffee, I had their dark roast for the day and was happy they had organic sugar and cream instead of half and half. I also had a cranberry muffin which was just outstanding. But the other coffee was only slightly warm and that was the flavored, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

Cool coffee shop. Very good donuts and coffee. They sell some gifts like t-shirts and mugs. It’s hidden away in a plaza behind the old Cumberland Farms(across the street from the new Cumberland Farms). The sign is small. It’s easy to miss.
