I had a craving for Chinese food, so I ordered take-​out around 8:00pm on Saturday night for a late dinner: Beef Chow Fun, Orange Flavor Chicken, Egg Rolls and Boneless BBQ Spareribs. Overall, the quality of the food was a disappointment. The boneless ribs had little flavor and were tough and chewy. The beef chow fun was rubbery. The chicken dish was a glob of over battered chicken and mushy. I expected the egg rolls to be crunchy, but they were soggy. The next time I crave Chinese food, I’ll definitely go elsewhere.

China Garden provides consistently fresh and flavorful options. Our favorite is the seafood special soup. The delicious broth is served in one container and the varied seafood, dumplings, bok choy and rice noodles are served in another container so that you can customize your own soup at home. The standard appetizers are well made, especially the beef teriyaki, steamed dumplings and crab rangoons. Our kids love the food as much as we do. The meals are hearty and flavorful, we recommend the Moo goo gai pan. Most importantly, this is a family owned business and they are always so hard working and kind. Pick up is quicker than delivery but we enjoy both. Thank you, China Garden!

Great food at this place. The crab rangoons aren’t disgustingly sweet, like they are at so many other nearby places. The food, in general, is excellent. Egg rolls sometimes have a strange curry-​like spice to them, which isn’t bad, but not what one expects.
Up until the other night, these folks would have gotten 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, I called after an hour and 20 minutes when they promised 45 minute delivery time, and they actually asked me if I preferred to come pick it up. WTF… It hasn’t even left the restaurant, yet?!
It will be a while before I order from here, again, and even longer before I try delivery.

We’ve ordered here before and enjoyed the food, but after tonight we will no longer be customers. We received the wrong order, got chicken wings instead of chicken fingers so my husband called them back and they said they could deliver chicken fingers right away. They came quickly (amazingly enough) but took the chicken wings back! It is absolutely disgusting that they take the food back. Who knows if they could be selling those to someone else. Even if they throw them away, just let us keep them and we can throw them away. I will never order here again!

Excellent quality, generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff, tasty and convenient. Try it!

Ordered food tonight at 7:24 pm. The food did not show up until 9:06 pm. Not very pleased with that. I have not even tried the food because it showed up so late, I had to find something else to eat for dinner. Will post tomorrow on the taste of the food. Thank you.

FINALLY a flavorful general Tsao in my area. I don’t know how else to explain it but all the others I’ve tried just seem bland. Pork fried rice, crab rangoons, boneless spareribs, General Tsao… all were good and exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve had nothing but luck at this place! For decades I was loyal to Sabrina Wong in Framingham, but too many B.O.H shutdowns let me know it was time to find a new place. The food is made to order here, and it’s always fresh. The wait time is about double what they quote on the phone, but I have no problem with that because of the quality of the food. The prices are very reasonable and the family is always pleasant!

I’m from New York… And I must say that this place is delicious. My friend and I ordered a few different things and it was all delicious. It tasted authentic and fresh. Very friendly service as well.

Inconsistency cost businesses customers and that is exactly what caused this place to loose our business. I cannot place how why or when exactly they started to slip, but slip they have. The dim sum shu mi that I once rave about flavor has changed. The beef teriyaki is getting tougher and tougher. The soup is still the same but that’s not going to hold me.
For the price I’ll keep shopping around, there’s always another restaurant.

Ordered take out tonight at 6:23pm and deliver time given was 45 minutes. 7:20pm called to see where order was and it still was not ready. Order showed up at 7:35pm. Take out is still the same delay every time you order from this place. Problem is a child is placing orders and obviously has no customer service skills. The owner should be ashamed of herself for running a business like this. Horrible experience again and never going back. If you want to eat two hours later then this is the place to go…

The food here is well worth the potentially long delivery time. As long as you are in no rush, China Garden is the place to order chinese food from in the Marlborough area! My girlfriend and I ordered food from here after a poor experience from a previous chinese take out place we had decided to try. After placing our order we were told it would be an hour for delivery which was fine seeing as we were in no rush. When the food finally arrived we were very pleased with the amount of food we received with our pu pu platter. After tasting the food, we were even happier! The chicken wings and fingers were very crispy and tasteful, and the beef teriyaki was very tender. My girlfriend and I both agreed that the best part was the lo mein, we haven’t had anything like it especially from a small take out place like this. The only negative, is the pork fried rice needs more pork, and the egg roll could have had more flavor. Beiside that the crab Rangoon, Peking ravioli, and scallion pancakes were terrific! Overall we were very pleased with our experience at China Garden and will gladly return for more!

So we ordered food for delivery tonight, the girl quotes us 30 – 45 minutes … It’s going on 2 hours now, and when I called to ask what was going in she said they are busy and it will be here in 20 more minutes. It’s still not here and they don’t seem to care. If their food wasn’t so good, I would give them 1 star, this is terrible customer service.

I went into the restaurant and ordered a $ 50 take-​out order for my family. «25 minutes.» I got the order 45 minutes later. Bear in mind I was waiting in the restaurant, not at home for delivery. The food is OK, for the most part, but they are severely understaffed in the cooking department. They are treating this restaurant like a hobby, not a business.
I should have gone to China Taste; decent food (except for the General Tso’s/Gao’s), and the food is cooked within minutes.

This Chinese restaurant’s boneless spare ribs are almost inedible. They are always burnt, chewy, AND taste like they’ve been microwaved.
Their fried Peking Ravioli was made of a meat with a texture I have never encountered nor do I ever wish to encounter again. It was supposed to be pork but it acted like GREASY beef. The texture was feathery (I cannot think of a better word) and the color was a dark, unappealing pink.
I will not be ordering from this place ever again.

I admit this is going to be a poor review, but only because I was so unimpressed with the food. Nothing really stood out to me, it took well over 30 minutes for take out, may I add it was 30 minutes longer than the 30 minutes they initially said it was going to take. All I do remember having was some sort of kung pow chicken.
If I remember correctly (not sure if it was China Garden or Yummy Kitchen) they had some sort of sweet taste to the crab rangoons, it was really obscure. Maybe it was just an off day, but I much rather go to Chin’s Garden.

I ordered take-​out a few days ago. I recently moved to the area from New York and I am still using my NY phone number. Why is this important? I was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes (about how long it takes for me to drive there). When I arrived my order was not ready. No biggie… it was a Sunday and they had the football game on. It was another 25 minutes before my order was ready… Ugh! It wasn’t that busy so I’m assuming that they thought my order was a crank call due to my area code on the caller ID.
The food? The food was great! It made the wait worthwhile! This is by far the best Chinese takeout that I have had in Massachusetts. The seasoning was just right and the ingredients were fresh.

We love this place! It is very hard to find a chinese place around here that does not give you overly salted food but this place is the one.
We have tried quite a few different typical American chinese order foods… meaning… chicken fingers, spareribs, crab rangoons, egg rolls, fried rice, lo mein, etc.
There hasn’t been one thing we tried that wasn’t really good. The fried foods are not overly greasy. The chicken fingers have the right chicken to batter ratio. The spareribs aren’t overly fatty. The beef and broccoli is beyond good from here — it is the best beef and brocoli I have ever tried!
The delivery time isn’t great but they are good about letting you know that it is going to take an hour to get to you.

Everything I’ve ever ordered from this place has been top notch. The selection on the menu is really wide, includes all my favorites, and I have many.
The portions are generous, too, so it’s a really good deal.
The peking ravioli and crab rangoons are my favorite.
The owner is very friendly and professional. This is now my go-​to takeout place!
