I am giving two stars because I really have to hate a place to give less. My wife and I were working together as window washers at the time. I showed up during the lunch hour to order something for us to eat up and then head into Leominster to wash more windows. I ordered a cold sub, tuna, their tuna is really good. My wife ordered a pasta plate. After 20 minutes I asked them how much longer my food would take and I was treated as though I broke some secret rule of the establishment. They said it would be ready«soon». I let another 10 or 15 minutes go by and then I asked them what was going on. I was told that the food would come out soon. I commented calmly that now, after 30 minutes or so, I couldn’t eat there in the store because my lunch period was over. Now I would have to eat the tuna sub in the car on the way to the next job — impossible. I never got the food. I asked for my money back and the wife and I hit a quick BK on the way to Leominster and ate in the car. It’s easier to eat a junior whopper than a tuna sub while you drive. Honestly, I don’t like eating and driving and probably should have waited until I was done in Leominster but I don’t think I would have had the strength. I will admit that I have ordered recently and they have improved. However, I always tell people«great food but it takes forever! Give them time to make it Don’t go in a rush.»

I visited this place because my stepson’s friend went there with a gift certificate and they refused to honor it, even though there was no expiration date. The food was OK; there were not a lot of people there, but it seemed like a long wait. WARNING: If you are having a meal there that needs utensils, bring your own. The ones they give you are useless and flimsy. Just putting the least amount of pressure causes the knife to bend. Pitiful! Having almost choked to death years ago, this is something I always look for. My stepson’s friend said that he’ll be able to exchange the gift certificate. I say any business that renegs on their own certificate is sleazy, poor and basically bad for business!

The other reviews are either really picky, can never be pleased or racist. Yes English is their second language. They are Egyptian. So they speak Arabic first and English second. Just be patient when calling because some of the staff have thick accents but understand everything you say. I have never had a bad meal here. On weekends they are busy. It is best to give 25 – 35 mins wait for your order. i suggest ordering ahead and taking your time to get there. Staff is friendly. They have the best salads and biggest salads! Rquest Romaine lettuce for no additional charge. Serves 2 – 3 people, seriously. Tonight I ordered the turkey club dinner. 3 layered sandwich with fries and a side salad. I will upload a picture if I can figure how on here. Big meal. I plan on eating the rest tomorrow. They have been voted best of Marlboro often and that is because their food is good. I recommend any of the dinners, calzone with sauce on the side not in it, and any sub. I agree with another poster that in the summer the place is hot. I only get take out from there.

Extremely rude owners. I tried it a few times, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt and the place just sucks. He yelled at me when I told him my pizza had blue cheese on it when I told him I didn’t want any. Go somewhere else!

Ordered take out, 2 pies. Waited 1:30 mins was told 30−45mins. Pizza was the worst tasting pizza I’ve had in a long time. Usually even bad pizza is still good, not in this case. Pizza arrived cold. The dough was dry, it cracked when I tried to fold it. The sauce taste like generic Prego sauce and the cheese was flavorless. These guys don’t seem to care about the quality of their pizza. Thought I would give a local chain a chance, NEVERAGAIN, back to Papa Gino’s.

Nothing in this place is fresh. Eaten on three occasions, the first was to try their meatball sub. The meat at a Subway has more flavor and texture, the bread was over toasted and tasted a little stale. I was satisfied with the fries, although the portion was too big. Tried their pizza next, big mistake, the crust had no flavor, in fact it sucked away any taste I had in my mouth completely. The sauce tastes canned and cheap along with the cheese, or should I say cheese like product. Gave them a final opp, ordered fish and chips for take out. Immediately upon taking a bite I could tell my fish was old, fishy taste and slightly rubbery. Bad, bad, bad food at this place.

Pizza is among the worst I’ve encountered. I make it a point to try new places as often as I can and when I came upon this pizza place not far from where I work I thought I’d try it. The crust: It is dry and flavorless. The adjective«sawdust» comes to mind. It tastes like someone forgot to add salt. PIZZADOUGHNEEDSSALT! At least some. Also, by the time I got it back to the office, it was all dried out and stale.(consumed within 30 minutes of ordering @ the office) The sauce: It is generic. It’s too sweet and doesn’t have much personality. There’s no describable spice mix to it. I can’t detect any oregano or any other Mediterranean spice mix in it. There’s something, but nothing presents itself. It’s as if someone was looking at a photo of an oregano plant while preparing it. The cheese, well, it’s cheese. I’ve tried this pizza on several occasions and find myself constantly disappointed. To the people who work there, PLEASE, take what I’m saying as criticism and not an attack. There’s room for improvement. At the very least, improve your dough making technique. A little salt and olive oil in the mix would improve things dramatically.

I had heard this was a very good place for take-out. Sorry, but I had two incidents which would never make me return. First off, to get a person to understand English is poor… The first time an old dessert was sent to me that smelled bad… like it had been sitting in with old veggies. Second time was worse… my order included a small toasted Sub and I was sent a large which was not toasted… Glad I never ordered a pizza… will never return there again!

Never had bad food at Marlborough House, even after it went under the staff change. I’ve had a number of different foods here and loved every single thing I’ve got, it’s all pretty cheap and done fairly quickly, unless they’re busy. Then again, I’m not a big fan of the new chicken wings, but the popcorn chicken is much better! My go to pizza here has to be the buffalo chicken, along with the buffalo chicken calzone, but the pepperoni calzone is delicious also. The antipasto salad is like how any other salad you get from a pizza place is… however they did add different types of lettuce to it since I’ve last gotten a salad from this place. I’m not too sure which type of lettuce it is, but I’m far from a big fan of it, it literally taste like I ripped a weed out of the ground and decided to munch on it. Appetizers that aren’t generic such as mozzarella sticks or jalapeño poppers, come at a price if you get a small or even a large. The appetizers are really good, and for the price you’re getting quite a bit, but in my personal opinion it’s a little too pricey. I’d advise you to dress lightly, or don’t even come in at all during the summer time. It is too hot to sit around and wait for food, or even stay in and eat. Opening the door isn’t helpful, they do have a fan, but it might as well be broken because it’s useless. The staff is beyond friendly, they all greet you with a smile, and if you aren’t a regular customer, they’ll still even talk your ear off. I feel like such a terrible person when I don’t tip them or talk back, because they all always have a smile on their face! However, if it’s your first time at Marlborough House you’re going to be really confused. What you do is kind of sit around and wait until someone notices you, and then they ask what you want. When they’re done with the food and everything that’s when you pay, you don’t pay right away. The big counter does pass off as a little cold or unwelcoming, but you do get the opportunity to stare at the Boar Head’s awesome meats!

Where do I start. Ordered two Greek salads w chicken kabobs. What I received was a load of rotten lettuce several rotted tomatoes and over cooked chicken strewn on top. No kabobs. The place is dirty thus reflecting the food quality and the Syrian Bread was stale. Like cardboard stale. Will not return to this establishment if I could give a zero star I would have.

Pizza is very good, we like it a lot. The chicken fingers on the other hand were eh, I would not recommend them. Subs are good tho. We have only been here once so I cannot speak for the rest of the menu or more service experience but I can tell you it takes FOREVER for you to get your food. We got Pizza, Chicken fingers and a Ham and Cheese sub and it took over 30 min. the place seems a bit dirty and a poor counter layout like others stated. I’m sure I will be back for just the pizza next time maybe a sub but I’ll call it in, but the more and more I think about how dirty this place was eh, I may not go back at all. I want to give this place more stars but the more I think about it, I feel they don’t deserve it.

We have food delivered to my workplace and it is outstanding. I always get the walnut, cranberry and blue cheese salad with chicken. The chicken is always fresh and hot and the walnuts large and whole, not small crumbs. Yesterday, I took the broasted chicken home and it was awesome!

This place is DISGUSTING! I ordered a chicken panini yesterday for my lunch and the man handling the money at the register didn’t change his gloves when he went to make the sandwiches! They have a glass case at the front of the store filled with the meats they use for the sandwiches. I could see him right through it. He denied doing it, but I could clearly see everything he was doing. When I called him on it, he at first denied doing it and then changed his attitude and said«Fair enough, fair enough.» He went to change his gloves and thats when i told him I didn’t want the sandwich anymore. I had already been waiting 15 minutes(out of my 30 min lunch break) for my food and had to be back at work for the rest of my shift. There were several other patrons in the restaurant that already had food, so there was no reason the wait had to be so long. I will NEVER be going there again!

I go to this place because it’s around the corner. I’ve had the chicken alfredo pizza before, and the way they make the crust is pretty good, and I’m the kind of guy that usually throws away the crust. I’ve been working my way through the wraps, and so far the buffalo chicken wrap is pretty good, although the steak combo was tough and bland. Service is strange like how other reviews comment. They don’t really have a counter, and the worker that’s usually in the kitchen is hidden behind signs, so you have to kind of step into the working area to find a worker. Personally, calling your order in by phone first is probably the best option. They’re not great on estimating service time unless you’re the only customer at that time, so I just call in at awkward times and get my food hot and ready when I arrive. It’s true, the guy talks fast and is hard to hear, but I haven’t had a problem yet; probably just got a different guy than the other reviewers. Overall, food is alright, service is a little strange, but you can order ahead.

I ordered a chicken wing dinner today. 9÷16÷10. What I got was a kids size meal of 6 greasy wings and a handful of soggy fries. I called back. I got a very rude man with a heavy accent who said his name was mark and he was thr owner and would not give me a minute to say what was wrong with my dinner he basically said you ordered not me whatever it is, it is your problem not mine, stop wasting my time! When I asked for his name he rudely asked why? Why? Then he said it was mark. I usually go to classic pizza thr service is quick and greAt and I regret giving these clowns my 8.70 $ plus tip. NEVER again!

I agree with the previous review about one thing — they don’t make it easy to walk in, place an order, and eat it there. However, if you are willing to accept that they are primarily a call-ahead, take-out place, you won’t be disappointed. My favorite: their buffalo chicken pizza. It is out of this world.

Decent pizza, but thoroughly strange service. I work nearby and have been looking for a good pizza place in the area, so I thought I’d try these guys. I arrived slightly after lunchtime a couple of weeks ago when it was 85+ degrees out, and there was no air conditioning inside at all — barely even a breeze from the open door. I was there… and I reluctantly went inside to eat anyway. I couldn’t find anyone behind the counter to help me, and I was in the only customer in the store. Someone came from the back — where there must have been 5 or 6 workers working away hard in the back.(No idea why they had so many people working like that — being that the customer area was empty and all.) I asked him if I could order, and he told me to wait one second, in halting English. He called someone from the back to come up to the counter. I asked what kind of slices they had ready. «We don’t do slices. I can make you a small pizza. 7 minutes.» What? A pizza place that doesn’t serve slices? Maybe it’s my Jersey heritage??? So, I agreed to order a small pizza, 7 minutes. I sat down with a magazine. After about 15 minutes, I approached the counter to see where my pizza was. Again, the guy from the back had to be summoned. «One more minute,» he says. What happened to 7 minutes? Several minutes later, I get my pizza. Scorchingly hot, which was to be expected, but after the 20ish minutes it took to get my pizza, I was looking to get outta there. So I asked for a box. Permission had to be granted from the back room. The pizza was okay — not great — but how strange was this service? It seemed as if they were totally befuddled by the need to serve customers.
