Worst bagels I have ever had. Completely flavorless. So disappointing. Cute place with nice staff, but a waste of a meal.

This is such a cute coffee shop! The bagels were small, yet oddly satisfying. I got the multi grain bagel with cheese and egg and café mocha. My friend got the same and a salted caramel coffee. It was delicious! I wish I lived in the area for me to come back daily!

Just came from Montréal and we were delighted to see an ad for Mount Royal bagels. The café is cozy and clean and the woman serving us was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a dozen bagels to bring home and are very happy with the crustiness and chewiness of them. The only disappointment is the size, which changed the inside proportions. Montréal Mt. Royal bagels are thinner, which adds to their appeal. Though the ones on display in the window are the right size, the ones we brought home have that«tire» thickness so familiar in the northeast. Still, Mt. Royal bagels will be where we go in the future when we’re in this area. There’s nothing else like them.

Came here once and will go back again and again! Delicious bagels, exceptional coffee options and friendly staff. The atmosphere is that of a classy café and smells of delicious breakfast entrees at all times.

First time order they messed up my bagel order… And yet I still love the concept… Smelling the bagels as they are made right out of wood roasted oven is delish! The bagel maker showed me how they do it and I love how the bagels are cooked in the wood roasted brick oven. They have several wonderful spreads I have not seen at other places. Try them: hummus, sun dried tomato with jalapeño, or the chocolate spread. Also sandwiches are good too it appears.

Bagels are amazing. Service is great. Glad I found this spot. The coffee cubes are a great idea. The Montréal bagel is second to none, and they do a very good job of representing the true Montréal flavor.

Great local spot and a nice change from chain places that are so ubiquitous around here. The inside atmosphere is really cozy. I pre-ordered online and still ended up waiting several minutes after I got there, even though they didn’t seem that busy — but the lady said the online thing is new for them so maybe they were still getting used to it. I got a breakfast sandwich on one of their awesome bagels and it was well made and flavorful, and I got an iced latte too. They have coffee cubes, which I love!!! I’ll definitely be back here, but might place my order a little further in advance if it’s early in the morning.

One of my favorite local bagel spots! Bagels are fresh with a little crispiness on the outside and chewiness on the inside. My favorite on the menu is one of their lunch sandwiches, the St. Denis. I do also enjoy any of their bagels toasted with butter or cream as well but the sesame bagel happens to be my favorite there with any of their flavored cream cheese spreads. In regards to the service, I feel it could be improved which is why I only gave this place 4 stars. I’ve visited this place at various times during the week and I feel I am waiting much longer than it actually takes to prepare my order.

Excellent bagels. By far the best that I’ve had in Philly area. Such a unique branding and absolutely beautiful store. Staff is extremely friendly and food quality is fantastic. Very fairly priced.

Compliments: The owners are very nice people and the interior design gives a very cozy feel that invites you to stay for a bite. The bagels are a unique flavor and delicious Complaint: When comparing their breakfast sandwiches and bagels in general, they seem smaller than everyone else’s for the value. This is the only frustrating aspect of the experience. Update: Went again and we were disappointed with the sandwich sizes and quality which were tiny and slightly burnt/dried out. My daughter’s blueberry muffin had basically 1 blueberry.

Their bagels are fresh and crispy, opposite of a NY bagel, which is enormous and full of calories. I also feel special eating a Montréal style bagel and still watching my calories.

I really loved this adorable bagel shop my sister brought me to when I stayed at her house a couple weekends ago. If I lived in the area, it would undoubtedly be the place where I would set up shop a couple times a week. It’s cozy, with the brick oven cooking bagels and lots of comfy seating and coffee tables. Looks like they have lunch options in addition to breakfast. Love that they serve La Colombe, and loved even more that they had bags of beans for sale as well, since I needed to stock up. While I didn’t get my own bagel that day, I did try a bite or two of my sister’s, which was delicious. Can’t wait to go back next time I visit and eat all the carbs.

Oh my. Where to start? Christina behind the counter– hello Spirit Animal! Friendly, upbeat, pleasant as can be, and spot on with service. She overheard me asking for real maple syrup, and immediately ran in the back and proferred a half gallon of it for my coffee. She was so intrigued by my request that I made a cup for her as well. Dark roast, a pat of butter, maple syrup, and ½+1/2. Heaven in a cup. Next, the store. Cute décor, nice view of woodburning bagel oven in the back, and open but not obtrusive kitchen. Décor would probably benefit from a bit of warmth here and there, and some big overstuffed chairs, but still very nice, and impeccably clean. Last, but most definitely not least, the bagels. Crisp, chewy, packed with flavor, and a welcome departure from the norm. Smaller than the typical«New York» bagel, which in my opinion is nothing but a dense mess of dough(having worked in Midtown for many years, I have had more than my share, so I know from whence I speak), Mount Royal bagels have just the right balance and proportion of ‘outer’ to ‘inner’. No need to scoop out the useless innards on these babies! I had the Cinnamon Raisin, with the Maple Butter option, naturally! Highly recommend seeking out this hidden little gem. Head for the old Olga’s Diner and then go behind it to Marlton Crossing Shopping Center. For the three of you that don’t know where Olga’s is, hit the intersection of Rt 70 and Rt 73. You can’t miss it, and certainly shouldn’t.

Tucked behind champps in marlton lies a fresh take on bagels, breakfast and brunch. Mount Royal Bagel Company is easily my new favorite bagel spot in town. Their breakfast sandwiches are hot and tasty. Their bagel selection is not complicated, because it does not have to be. Each bagel tastes great and is made perfect to be eaten by itself or made into a sandwich. Be sure to order an ice coffee with coffee ice cubes. If this place was open past three I would stop their just for the coffee. Finally, if you are a hockey fan you will surely appreciate this place even more.

Cute place with good food and reasonable prices. The wood burning oven really adds to the taste and texture. Iced coffee is also excellent. For those with babies. they have high chairs and a changing table in the(nice and clean) restroom.

A nice little bagel spot tucked literally into the corn of a shopping center(we had to call to find out where they were located). Rediscovering that they serve la Colombe coffee(Philly peeps know what that means). The Mrs. went with a turkey sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel while I selected an egg white and swiss on a half poppy seed have sesame bagel. Even though I perused the menu and description I overlooked the fact that their bagels are poached in a honey water bath before being baked in a wood fired oven. I was not expecting the sweetness that came with the bagel, but did not fault them after the Mrs. reminded me ‘I told you so’. Slightly abashed, I downed the bagel which was pretty good. I was a little apprehensive since their bagels looked a bit smaller than most, but what they lack in size, they make up for in filling. The Mrs.’ bagel was packed with scrambled eggs, cheeses and TWO sausage patties. I was amazed, but she said the amount kind of overpowered the flavor of the bagel. I told her she was crazy and went about my way with the stuffed egg white and cheese bagel of my own. There’s lots of comfy seats and they even have a quaint little fire place you can tuck up to for reading, conversing or just simply relaxing. Stop in, order a bagel(they have special lunch bagels which look delish too) and enjoy the warm smiles and friendly service from the staff.

What a wonderful new establishment in the Marlton area. I read about this place and heard great reviews from customers that I wanted to give this a try. I was aware going to Mount Royal that the bagels are not what we are used to here in the Northeast(meaning NY-style bagels), but these are Montréal, Canada style bagels. The service was wonderful. They had a great variety of options from the type of bagels, cream cheese, sandwich combinations, etc. They also had a coffee station where they could make you almost any speciality coffee that you’d like. The bagels are less doughy with a slight crisp outside and a soft inside. They are slightly smaller than what we are used to eating, however, I would definitely come back and buy bagels to go or eat a sandwich again. The prices are slightly higher than one would think for a bagel place, but these are fresh made on the spot. No shipping in overnight stuff. I had a multi-grain bagel with pumpkin cream cheese — yum! My husband had Nova Loxs, cream cheese and onion on a everything bagel, which was delicious too. There is a cozy fireplace inside, and the atmosphere reminds me of a log cabin store in Canada where I would go for a bagel and coffee. Very clean and inviting. This is definitely my new go-to bagel place. Note: Remember, it is a different style bagel so come with an open mind. Those who are counting calories will enjoy the«less carb/bread» feature.

After many trials and tribulations, and back-to-back service related issues from other bagel establishments, it was back to searching for an establishment serving decent bagels while not sacrificing service for me. Utilizing the advice from Unilocal Friend, Ken M, I decided it was time to give Mount Royal Bagel Company a try. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my initial experience. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff but they were friendly enough, and they got the job done. More importantly they were not rude and acted like professionals. In a testament to their service, I was there as a woman walked into the store and started to berate a gentleman behind the counter. I was unable to hear the entire conversation, but she was complaining about the density and diameter of the bagels. They are not the NY style, or the run of the mill bagels you will find from most S. Jersey establishments. The young man, after being treated with so much disrespect, went into the kitchen to prepare a fresh batch of bagels for the woman. Now I am a born and breed NYC bagel snob, but this lady was acting like a TRUENYC bagel snob! Yes, the bagels are smaller than what one is used to but that doesn’t mean they lack flavor. For a place that makes their own bagels, I say they do a pretty good job. Looks like I found a place to satisfy my bagel fix.
