Stumbled in here almost by accident since the line at the Mexican place upstairs was truly out the door. They share the same view of the ore dock, and have outdoor patio seating if the weather(or your clothing, you are in the UP) is right. There is a sports bar feel to this place, with lots of TVs showing lots of games. But they hang rugs on the brick walls(ingenious and decorative way to deaden the room acoustically) and supply sofas to sit on for drinks and tapas. I tried the fish tacos, and was impressed that the staff really saw to my gluten-free needs. I appreciated the effort. The tacos came with a crazy amount of whitefish, and were some of the best I’ve ever had(and I fish taco my way through Cali all the time at work, I am a knowledgeable diner). They had a good heat without being just on fire. Wish we could have stayed for drinks, but we were driving to Munising that night. Next time…

Seriously a gem. Came for lunch with my wife and we were very pleased with all aspects of the visit. Seating both inside and out are comfortable looking and spacious. We sat outside with a perfect view of the bay. Stag was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I had the tacos and my wife had the panini. The tacos are a must have!!! Well seasoned fish and the slaw was crisp with the right amount of Apple vinegar! Perfect smooth taste. My wife was pleased with her panini as well. Bread was toasted nicely and not greasy. I will return if only for the tacos!

Great location and atmosphere. The bar tenders could use a course in customer service.

Great spot to enjoy the view and good food & drink! We really enjoyed the Beer-Cheese Lava Dip and the Falafel Waffle. And my husband liked the Pulled Pork Sandwich with MI Cherry BBQ Sauce. I had the Farmer’s Market Martini with cucumber and basil and a Marquette Mule that added some black currant liqueur(Kir). We sat on the patio on a sunny day and noticed they had spots for leashed dogs to sit with full bowls of water by the restaurant which was a nice option for folks traveling with dogs. Great service(sometimes you can feel forgotten when you sit outside) but our waiter was great & attentive!

I brought some out-of-towners here for dinner. Our table ordered Whitefish Tacos(x2), Whitefish Platter, Signature Salad, Ham/Apple/Cheese Panini and Roast Beef and Fig Sandwich — everybody was overwhelmingly happy with their food. Good beer selection, too. Service was prompt and friendly. They have a great view and a nice atmosphere. Overall great experience!

Recently changed owners, new menu is great! Same tapas/small plates feel but the menu is more cohesive and the dishes were better for it. I had the falafel waffle which was fun and my husband loved his burger. Service was also improved, and speed, likely because of the more refined menu. Overall pleased and impressed. Can’t beat the lake views and the interior is beautiful.

First time back since they«retooled” — service was great, apps yummy with different sauces, I had Whitefish Tacos that were great. The beer list was good, and cocktails were great. I had a „pocket park tonic“, made with lavender syrup and it was very good. Refreshing, not to sweet, different». Hope they can keep it up! It was a great night!

Location is excellent. Food is good. Nice wine list. Service, not so much. Unfortunately that puts this place on the list of great view/average restaurant in my book.

stopped in for dinner travelling for work. My travel partner and i split the meet and cheese boards — plus ladies night for $ 5 wine. Great little place by the lake.

We eat here once a year after the ore 2 shore bike race while in town, it was our goto place. I would have given it 5 stars in years past. But unfortunately the menu has changed for the worse and the prices and high for what you get. I was hoping the previous reviews were wrong but they were not. Don’t go here till they get their act together. Hope they get it together in the next year. We would love to come back for the spectacular view of Lake Superior.

Change in management = real disappointment! Much smaller menu, out of some draft beers on the busiest week of the summer. Alway dependable fish tacos were not so good and the guacamole to too hot to eat. Really, change isn’t always a good thing!

Totally underwhelming. Food was blah. Service was blah. Felt ill after the fish tacos hit bottom. Hopefully a better restaurant takes this prime location and does something with it.

I love this place. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in town. Sit inside or outside, you won’t be disappointed. Its right by the water and bike path so lots of people watching outside. Their food is different from most food in Marquette, in a good way. Most dishes are lighter fare but they do have some heavier dishes. My favorites are the whitefish tacos and the three ways to heaven plate. Good beer selection. I love the big booths they have too. Very cool for casually having a few beers with friends.

Great food. Creative options that at least felt healthy. Loved the honey on the cheese plate & the whitefish tacos were well-seasoned & not at all fishy tasting. Hubbys bowl/salad wasn’t tossed well but was huge. Fruit sides for kids entrée choices.

This establishment has come a long way in both service and food quality, offering a wide variety of dishes from around the world. The sandwiches make for a well-portioned lunch or dinner, and their entrees are generally well deserving of the few extra dollars spent. As an appetizer, on our last visit we tried a thinly sliced beef roll, stuffed with green onions, and were delighted by the accompaniment of a seaweed salad garnish; a very sophisticated flavor, with perfect texture balance, as well. The wine list is well thought out, and has excellent vintages for various price ranges. Especially nice is the inclusion of several Malbec wines from Mendoza, Argentina. They also have the best mojito in town. The food and drinks, coupled with the view of the harbor, is unparalleled in town. Highly recommend.

Great place to sit outside on a summer evening. There wasn’t much going on in Marquette on a Friday night, but there was a happy crowd enjoying the patio here, and that drew us in. We were able to get a table for two immediately. Indoors looked nice too. Nice selection of wines by the glass. «Small plates» were big! We shared the«Three Ways to Heaven»(hummus, tapanade, and tabbouleh with pita triangles and celery and carrot sticks) and the spicy edamame. We couldn’t finish the«three ways» in one sitting, and the hummus, in particular, was some of the best I’ve had. The service was friendly and efficient. I recommend it!

I’m an italian beef fan thanks to my wife from Chicago. What this place does to an italian beef is a shame. But this place has a different take. You get Italian Beef stuffed into an oversized roll with cheese and a lightly spiced mayo, with a side of au jus, that when you dip your bun into it, it comes out looking like the bottom of a swamp. I ordered what i thought was fresh kettle chips, but turned out to be the kettle chips you can buy at the grocery store down the road. The other members of my party seemed to enjoy their food, but i was GREATLY disappointed in the italian beef. It’s considered a classic, and with all classics it should not be changed. Either take it off your menu, or keep it classic and give me my giardiniera. The service was slow to take our order, and didn’t have much to say. We will most likely not return.

3 ½ stars. Passing through town on our way to Munising we couldn’t find very many spots that were still open in the late dinner hour. But this seemed like a decent spot next to the lake. The décor was a bit odd as I couldn’t figure out if the couch style tables or the contemporary décor was intended for fancy or casual. We chose a couch and ordered a cheese platter, fish dinner plate, and fish tacos. The cheese platter was pricey for what we got(two crackers for all that cheese… really?). The fresh honey comb was a nice, unique touch and tasty with the cheeses. I enjoyed my fish dinner and my friend really liked her fish tacos. Overall we were very pleased but a bit thrown off on the ambiance.

We loved this place as well! The smoked duck gumbo was as good as any gumbo I have personally had in the south. Not much smoky flavor in the duck but the seasonings seemed just right to me. A large bowl was $ 9 and worth every penny. Wife had the whitefish tacos. Nothing Mexican at all about them, but they were good! The whitefish was seasoned with cajun spices and kind of blackened. The tortillas were flour, which never would occur in Mexico, but quite good. The salsa was very tasty and the chips were better than average. The presentation was beautiful, as were all the dishes we observed. The tacos were a little steep at $ 11 but no regrets. Pints of Arcadian beer were $ 3.50. Glasses of wine appeared to be much more generous than is typical. The ambience is terrific with unusual industrial/bistro décor, a choice of different seating arrangements, and fairly quiet. Too bad about the ad nauseum football games playing on the TVs. This place deserves more. The servers all were very friendly to us and attentive. The menu included many very interesting and unusual items we would love to try. There was a conch appetizer, seared Ahi tostada, smoked meat sandwiches, and a Wisconsin Artisan cheese plate to mention a few. Yet another winner in Marquette!
