Nice people but don’t get your board repaired here. They screwed up two fairly straightforward repairs, and I won’t be going back for a 3^rd.

4 and7/​8 stars –Owner could not more upfront and honest. But the kids running the truck at Nantasket (don’t get me wrong, they are pretty good) could be a little better about making sure inexperienced customers get the help they need.

This review is for Levitate’s truck at Nantasket Beach. Their location in the DCR parking lot directly across the street from the beach can’t be beat. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable, IMO, for a couple of hours of fun on the water. And the surf at Nantasket is always tame unless there’s a storm off shore.
If you rent from them, don’t be afraid to ask for advice. I had never paddle boarded before and wound up hurting my lower back, putting me out of commission for a week. SUPing was fun, but not worth a week off of my bike or out of the gym. Turns out my technique was all wrong. A couple of pointers — even as basic as being told how to paddle (no, it’s not a no-​brainer) — would have helped.
Also, check the equipment. I got a paddle that didn’t adjust. Another paddle boarder pointed out that my paddle was too short for me and said it was adjustable. He discovered the locking collar mechanism was broken. I took it back and it was quickly replaced. I would also insist that there be leashes on an SUP or surf board. That is a matter not only of convenience, but safety. Nantasket gets crowded. I don’t know if they’re offered, but I’d ask for one next time. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for having my board hit a swimmer, or having to swim to Portugal to retrieve a runaway board.

Great service, advice and an excellent place for a family to pick up surfing. Dan and his team are really helpful and welcoming, not only to their peers, but also to those of us a generation or two up and our kids.

Fantastic customer service! My fiancé and I popped in tonight on a whim… Fell in love with a gorgeous paddle board and can not wait to get it out on the water. Come on summer! The owner was working and she was not only very friendly but knowledgable. A huge plus for newbies like us. Can’t wait to go back and get a second one before the summer gets here.

This is a review for their surf camp… sent my 9 and 11 year old kids last week to Levitate Surf Camp and felt compelled to give the program a five star review! My kids said on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 20! They loved the counsilors, felt they got to truly learn mad surfing skills and still had plenty of fun play time in the water. As a parent, I watched the kids for a while one day and felt confident in the level of safety they provided. The check n was easy for drop off and pick up which was awsome on my work days too! A win/​win all around. A plus for Surf camp!

Did the one hour paddle boarding class (using groupon) with kids (15 and 12). Great experience. It was a perfect day for beginners, rexhame beach was very calm. The instructors were very friendly and Knowledgeable. Great experience.

This place is great! The have a great variety of t-​shirts. swim suits, and sunglasses. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. The offer surf camps for kids and highly recommend stopping in before or after going to the beach when in Marshfield. They also have the surf report daily… A bunch of righteous bros…

Fantastic! And now I can totally paddle board!
I took my wife here for her birthday because she wanted to learn how to paddle board, but not in the decomp of the Charles. I was a little skeptical since most board sports take a while to pick up, but holy sh! t, we were both up on our boards and paddling on our first try! Then I fell in. 5 times. Then I got the hang of it and had a lot of fun.
The paddle lessons are given by a few teen beach bunnies who are super cute and friendly. One leads the pack of paddlers and the other brings up the rear so no one is left in the wake.
The lesson was about an hour which was plenty of time to learn the how-to’s and have some fun splashing around. They also have surf lessons, run a surf camp for kids in the summer, and rent both surf and paddle boards to those of us who are afraid of commitment.
I would absolutely recommend them if you are looking for a fun friendly crew to teach you how to ride the waves.
