Miracle worker! I needed Jesus… I had a bayalage go wrong and Kai saw me during closed hours to fix it. The outcome is perfection.

I’m guessing you’re on here for the same reason I was exactly a week ago. Your hair is becoming more ratchet by the day and can’t seem to find a trustworthy hair salon in the south shore area… Well let me tell you, I’ve been to high end salons all over the world and Jenny gave me the best results I’ve ever seen. I can’t stop looking at my reflection in store windows as I walk down the street haha! Absolutely loved the whole experience!

Kai has really found his juju. He is invested in education for himself and his staff. The result is a slammin’ cut and slammin’ color. I always have fun letting Kai take what I want and allowing him to be creative. If you know exactly what you want, you will always get spectacular service and results. The result is always stunning… in a good way!

Kai was amazing! Myself and two friends asked to get fit in last minute on a Friday and he made time staying late and all of his work was beautiful. I live in San Francisco and he did a better job than any of the stylists I’ve found there and gave us tips as to what to ask for at our stylists at home. Definitely recommend him a million times over!

The BEST hair experience I have ever had. I was pretty nervous to get my hair done so far outside of the city, but Kai agreed to took a few of us in completely last minute and I am SO grateful for it. He is not just going to cut your hair — he will provide an experience. That, AND your hair will look amazing.

Kai gave me a solid reason to come back to Boston because I’m hesitant to let anyone pick up where he left off on my hair.

I went in their with Mufasa hair and walked out looking amazing. I used to drive 3.5 hours to my home town to, get my hair done and I was nervous trying a stylist here, but I’m glad I did. Kai was amazing and did a great job and to add to this wonderful experience he did not try to sell me product like you get at other salons.

Originally has faded out teal hair, was able to get it all out and give me a nice cool blonde look for the summer. Would definitely recommend to anyone no matter what style you are aiming for. Great environment as well as professional.

Kai is a talented, amazing artist who really listened to me and created a great hairstyle personalized to my face shape and likes! Since I am moving, he even found me a new salon in my new state. Going to a new salon is always anxiety provoking but I am SO HAPPY I found Kai! He and his assistant Hannah are amazing, warm, friendly and so professional! Kai knew exactly what I wanted and really listened to me. He is extremely knowledgeable especially on the latest techniques and trends (extensions, Balayage[which I was so excited to get!], etc.) and spent a lot of time to bring my hair back to life. Best of all his prices are MORE than reasonable and Hannah’s hair wash is the best you’ll ever receive! Go see him-​you won’t be disappointed!

I went to Kai last Tuesday to get my hair cut. I get a Bob so I’m very wary & cautious about it. Past experiences with stylists who, even in high end salons, that charge $ 75 for a wash, cut & style weed whacked my head leaving me scarred for life. I researched and asked for recommendations. EVEN made appointments that I actually sat in the chair and ran out last minute because in my gut I knew they didn’t know what they were doing. I found him on Style Seat. He had 43 reviews & EVERY REVIEW all 43 were great comments. He did a great job w my hair. He knew what he was talking about. He was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I was So insecure in the chair, he did not have a judgmental attitude at ALL he was so very wonderful. He did such an amazing job. I even got many compliments from guests at my work who hadn’t even known I had just got it done that day. I sent him a text @ 12pm asking if he had any openings before 2:30 cuz I had work, @ 12:18 he responded & even was so very kind to squeeze me in to his dbl booked schedule. During school vacation week no less. He knows what he is doing & doesn’t take advantage or have an ego even tho he is truly the greatest stylist I have come across in the last 15 yrs. I had even bought product from his salon & was not charged a ridiculous amount. He is tech savvy and very personable. I have found my second stylist relationship. No doubt about it he is the man to see. Whether it’s husband’s, wives, grandparents or your children. Salon 1803 will change everything you know about a great salon. On point all the way!!!

I have been trying to perfect my edgy, platinum look for YEARS and I could never get it just right – until I met Kai. He intuitively knew the look I was going for and executed it efficiently while taking the time to worry about the health of my hair. Plus he’s fun! Book with him :)

Sorry to disagree with everyone, but I found Kai to be very full of himself and not terribly interested in me. I wanted a «new» look. I got one. It’s much shorter than what I wanted, and it seemed to be very amateurish. Just cut straight around. He should have told me when I said he should take another inch off the back that it would make my hair just about chin length. It was difficult to tell with my hair being wet. I had told him that I wanted it to fall just on my shoulders with an angle so it curled in toward my neck in front. Hard to describe in words, but I showed him. After he finished the blowout, I tried to explain what I had wanted, and he said he didn’t know what I meant, but it would mean longer hair. Really? Color was great, but if you do go, bring a picture, and be sure that he spends time talking to you and not about himself.

Kai is awesome! I showed him a picture of an ombréd look I liked and he got it spot on! This place is super welcoming and everyone is so friendly. Kai explained every step in full detail so I knew exactly what was being done on my hair. This is definitely my go-​to hair salon now… it’s truly the best I’ve been to!

Kai is incredible. I’ve been following him around for years and I’m so glad he finally has his own spot. He’s insanely professional and always listens to what I want, but then adds his professional opinion as to what the best process is. He takes his time and makes me feel so fabulous at the end of a visit. Bonus: those hair washing massage fingers!

Finally found a modern salon in the Boston area! Moved here from San Francisco and couldn’t find a salon worth going back to again, until I met Kai at Salon1803. He did a great job with my color, cut and style. And he has a great attention to detail. I also appreciate the modern conveniences of email or text reminders, online appointment scheduling, and he uses an iPad to swipe my credit card for payment — I’ve missed having a salon owner who understands how to make it easy for busy professionals.
I was lucky to have the day off so I scheduled in the middle of the afternoon, so easy. The lady in the chair next to me was getting dolled up for a big night out, and Kai arranged professional make up for her, in addition to the high glamor style he was doing for her hair (while I was under the heater for my color processing). She looked great, and I also loved my new cut and color. If you are looking for a great stylist, this is your place.

Kai is a SUPERSTAR. I called him on Wednesday morning and he got me in that afternoon. The salon is small and intimate, which makes it even better. The ambiance is so fun with awesome music and casual conversation.
I came in with a picture and requested a big haircut (about 10 inches!) Kai knew immediately that I had enough to donate my hair, which I never even thought of! He explained every technique he was using so that I could recreate his fantastic styling at home. I now have a beautiful, face-​flattering, trendy style that could not be achieved without Kai’s expertise.

Kai spent well over 3 hours with me on a Sunday. I called him the week before to make an appt and he managed to get me in that Sunday! Immediately, I clicked with him because I liked his look, his degree of assertiveness and his conscientious creative flair!
He advised me as to what would work best with my hair and I let him work his magic. I wanted a very blonde look for the summer and he created the most beautiful color! Also, we added a little turquoise to the look, so that I wouldn’t get mistaken as a Hingham Mum… Out with the Hingham Mum bob and in with MomoLuxe!
