Not very impressed. Got the veggie burrito thought it was pretty expensive but got it anyways because it supposed to have a Portabella mushrooms. I didn’t get mushrooms so 8+ bucks for some iceberg lettuce and beans is a little pricey in my book.

With not a lot of good Mexican options in Walnut Creek, I am THRILLED every time I see that these guys will be visiting us at the Pleasant Hill Bart food trucks on Friday nights. We seek them out every time because their food is SO flavorful and fresh. My personal favorite are the chicken street tacos — their shredded chicken is magic. You could eat it off a flip-flop(to quote Guy Fieri) it’s so good. It’s moist and tender and perfectly seasoned. We also like the flautas if we’re in the mood for a more sinful dinner. Same chicken but deep fried in a light and puffy flour tortilla. So yummy! Often I will take a burrito home so we can continue to enjoy the next day! Their prices are great as is the service. We’ve visited a half dozen times or so now and have been pleased each time.

Pretty much 50⁄50 on this spot. I came out of the BART today and noticed the food trucks were outside. Being past 5 I decided to have an early dinner while waiting for my ride. I decided on getting a chicken super burrito from this spot. The guy who helped me wasn’t friendly at all. He didn’t say much back and didn’t even tell me to have a good day. I ended up waiting AWHILE for my food. They didn’t seem too busy, but I waited close to ten minutes for my burrito. The burrito itself was so and so. While it was filling the chicken just didn’t taste that fresh. The real unsatisfactory thing about this was the burrito was $ 9.50! Super overpriced for what you get. It would have been better if it came with chips and salsa at least too. Overall, I’ll be skipping this spot going forward it just wasn’t that good.

Great taco truck! I just go two of the chicken tacos one with mild verde salsa and one with spicy. They were both great. The onions were really sweet. The chicken was tasty ad fresh. The service was great, big smiles from the ladies at the truck. Great place to go.

This is hands down one of the best tricks I’ve ed be eaten at. Very fast and friendly service you can’t go wrong with anything you order. The burritos are great, the breakfast burritos are a league of their own from the combo to the sausage to the bacon great. The beat is their surreal quesadilla super big tastes amazing. Their hot sauce is perfect as well just enough kick. Great always go here when hags to contra costa. I only wish they were open on the weekend. Great prices as well and More than enough food to fill you up.

Disgusting greasy food! Yeah it might be cheap but you get what you pay for… Salty unflavored food. Do yourself a favor and don’t try it.

I live in the area and have gone here because they were open late. Bad idea. It took forever — food trucks should be prompt. Why should I wait for 15 minutes to get 4 tacos? The meat tastes overseasoned, pretty much like low quality meat that you keep adding salt to taste. I would not come back here. You pay for what you get for, it may be relatively cheap, but you get really low quality food here. No thanks.

This place really delivers. I have been a serious taco truck swinger for many years and this one gives me a crush on its pork tacos everytime. Can one say I have a great affinity for taco truck tasties. Well my friend may say I’m crazy but I love this place

This taco truck, really ANY food truck, is a very welcome addition to the deluge of delis that us working Walnut Creekers have to choose from every day. Parked near the ticketing area of the WCBART station, this truck is walking distance from many downtown office buildings. And the word is out, there was a decent crowd gathered around to buy! Be aware, they do have a credit card machine set-up, but on 11÷13÷13, it wasn’t functioning so hopefully that will be resolved quick. Their menu is concise and the prices are quite good — you can’t beat a $ 1.75 taco! I ordered 3 tacos, 1 each of chicken, asada steak and al pastor pork, and a small bottled water, and it only rang up to $ 6.25. Friends also purchased the taco plate and steak quesdilla, and our food was received in less than 5 minutes. Everything is packaged to go so walking back to an office building with the food is no problem. Tacos are served street style, topped with onions, cilantro and salsa. The food is fine, not mindblowing. Of the 3, the steak taco was my favorite, and the steak worked really well in the quesadilla as well. Definitely the most flavorful of the 3 meats. The refried beans that come with the taco plate are also a bit lacking in seasoning. The quesadilla was a winner though — served very warm, lots of steak and melty cheese, and salsa, guac and sour cream for dipping, plus all meals come with marinated carrots. I’d like to return to try their burrito, the true true test of a great Mexican joint. As of now, with the goods we sampled, they are indeed A-OK.

I was excited to find a new food truck in Concord serving Mexican/Salvadorean food. The menu suggests the breakfast burritos are their specialty since it took up half of it. The second half was a tacos and tortas. Then there were specials taped up to the order window. Craving some pupusas(and seeing everyone was ordering them) I ordered a plate and for six bucks I got two pupusas with rice and beans. Large horchata two more bucks. The pupusas were plate sized but kinda pancake flat. The curtido was nicely pickled. The beans and rice were OK. Cutting into the pupusas I got what I was looking for. A hot, cheesy web full of chicharron bits. Perfect. I really enjoyed the meal and left full. Thanks Ranchero! Parking nearby their Concord swap meet location can be difficult through the day.

Taco truck at the martinez dump. Waterfront rd at waterbird way. Al Pastor tacos are really freakn good. My favorite item is the chorizzo and egg breakfast bo-rito with guac. Just tell them you want everything on it plus the guac. If you have had a rough night of weekday drinking, then this dusty and smelly area of broken asphalt with a clean taco truck is your spot. Less stray bullets than E14 in oakland is another plus.

Best burrito I have has in Martinez! I got a chicken burrito and loved it. Martinez really doesn’t have any great burrito places. Just good good tacos. So I’ve been looking for a great burrito. I found it! This place is better than the other truck on Pacheco. I want to go back to try their breakfast burrito. Top notch!

The El Ranchero Taco Truck sits out in a desolate stretch near the Acme dump, yet is centrally located to serve a clientele consisting mostly of workers from the nearby chemical plants, refineries, and associated industrial businesses. These are hard working folks who are often short of time, mindful of their cash, and appreciative of a good and filling breakfast or lunch. I stopped in for lunch yesterday and ordered the regular(small) burrito for $ 5 and it was plenty big. As previously noted, the tortilla was fresh, the chicken was tender, and the entire combination was well balanced and flavourful. And although there are no tables in the immediate area of the truck, the picnic tables at the nearby Waterbird Regional Reserve offer superb dining with a view

Probably my favorite burrito place in the Bay Area. This taco truck is right next to the landfill which leaves for an awful, terrible smell every time the wind blows but that doesn’t matter. Just drive up, get an amazing, tasty burrito and drive away. Not like there are any tables for you to eat at anyways. Chicken, carne asada, lengua burritos are all good. haven’t tried anything else. Any burrito larger than the small you’ll have plenty of leftovers or an awful food coma. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

This is the taco truck by the Martinez dump. That should set expectations for the ambience. The burriotos seem to be the weapon of choice here. Of the three sizes of burritos, the Super($ 6) is in the middle and it is huge. Think Chipotle size but heavier. I can’t even fathom what the largest burrito would be like. On the taste side we have a winner. Fresh tortillas with flavorful and tender meat.
