Food was good but nothing to write home about. Service was good. They were busy and kept up well. The layout of the place is really the problem. Kitchen in the middle with a split dinning area. Makes it hard for the waiters to get to everything. If ur here go, but don’t go out of ur way.

If there is such a thing as Biker Breakfast Diner, this is it. Classic diner food but done consistently well in ginormous portions. I could never finish a single order but there is definitely some love in the food. Great for hangover food or just having huge, cheap breakfasts!

Breakfast and lunch from 6am to 2pm. Classic greasy spoon with huge portions of terrific diner food. French dips, burgers, breakfast burritos, corned beef hash, etc. Nice view of the oil refinery across the street.

My husband and I came here for breakfast and mid-meal we saw a ROACH crawling across the TABLE! Don’t eat here unless you wanna find a «suprise» in your omelette.

Biscuits and Gravy were on the brain the morning I woke and headed over here with my little brother. He always gets some type of a Breakfast Sandwich. The bread on his sandwich looked really good. Better than any grease bomb he would get a Jack N’the Box. What was placed in front of me was a mountain of Biscuits and Gravy. When I was expecting 2 Biscuits there were 4 big Biscuits with an ocean of Gravy on top. I didn’t get any sides. Just my big rock Biscuit mountain. The Gravy could have been a little more savory. But it was good non the less. The Biscuits are bigger than your average Biscuits and flaky and crusty even under all the globs of Gravy. This more than made up for my mediocre meal next door at Mr. T’s. Service was fast and even though I only wanted one cup of coffee they were there in a millisecond to fill my cup up again before I was even done with the first cup. I would really enjoy coming back again for breakfast.

I have been here before and have gotten better food so I don’t know what has happened. I order the Pegg’s omelette and was not thrilled with what I got. I felt the egg in the omelette was left out, leaving only a very thin like wrap of egg almost as thin as saran wrap. I was just eating mouth fulls of bacon, sausage, mushrooms topped with avocado. Either cut down on the fillings or use more eggs or add milk to eggs in the omelette. _____ An omelette or omelet is a dish made from beaten eggs quickly cooked with butter or oil in a frying pan, sometimes folded around a filling such as cheese, vegetables, meat(often ham), or some combination of the above. To obtain a fluffy texture, whole eggs or sometimes egg whites only are beaten with a small amount of milk or cream, or even water, the idea being to have«bubbles» of water vapor trapped within the rapidly cooked egg. The bubbles are what make the omelette light and fluffy. Omelettes may be only partially cooked on the top side and not flipped, even prior to folding.

This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat breakfast but I hadn’t been back in a few years. The owner renovated the inside and updated some of the paintings on the walls and moved the cash register and pastry counter, but it still looks the same. Unfortunately, the food and service at this establishment has gone down hill. I ordered Pegg’s Omelet with fresh fruit and it was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve had. The omelet comes with bacon, sausage, ham, onions, avocado, mushrooms and your choice of cheese. When I placed my order with the waitress I asked that the omelet have no onions and that it have jack cheese. When I received the omelet it was covered in cheddar cheese. The waitress offered to make a new omelet for me, but since my husbands food had already arrived I declined. As I started to eat the omelet I noticed that the bacon was VERY undercooked. It was so undercooked that I had to remove every single piece of bacon from the omelet(the bacon was still TRANSLUCENT!). I could never let the waitress know how horrible it was because she never returned after she put our food on the table. I decided to move onto the fruit. It was yesterday’s cut up melon served on a lettuce leaf. I don’t think that the leaf was washed and I have a feeling that the fruit may have been placed on the plate on top of the leaf in advance and set in the fridge to await its arrival at a customers table. I took one bite of the watermelon — it tasted like dirt — literally. I decided to move onto the cantaloupe and it was even worse! My husband ordered a soda and it never arrived at the table. We waited FIFTEEN minutes with nearly untouched plates of fruit and a deconstructed omelet for the waitress to come back to the table. We finally decided to just go up to the register and ask for our bill. Our waitress handed us the receipt and sure enough — the soda that we never received was listed on the bill. We asked her to remove it. I still waited for her to ask me how the meal was… and when she didn’t I figured I would mention to her that my bacon was severely undercooked. The cook from the kitchen was standing near the register and I put in my complaint. Apparently they make the bacon that way because their regular customers like it but had no problem modifying its doneness. In fact, they suggested that I let them know how I like the bacon prepared. I assumed that since the bacon was going in an omelet that I wouldn’t need to specify it’s crispiness, but apparently I did. If their customers tend to like bacon prepared a certain way then the waitress taking the order should simply ask, «how would you like your bacon prepared»? At least give me the option. The cook urged me to come back next time so he could make it right. I told him that I wouldn’t be coming back. He said that if I did, he would make the bacon however I liked. They accommodated my complaint by providing us with a small discount. This place used to be great — it’s too bad that I won’t be coming back. Worst.breakfast.ever!

I wish i could give this place none stars… Here’s all i will say. When I ask for a side of salsa to go with my Southwestern Omelet, don’t point to the Tobasco and say«its right there» Tobasco is vinegar with pepper in it. I will never, for the life of me understand the appeal. AND, when I say«no thats hot sauce do you have salsa» dont say YES if you’re going to go in the back, chop up onions and bell pepper, and mix it into a cup of ketchup with black pepper sprinkles. I almost puked on my plate. f*** this place.

I like Peggs and you get to see the Shell Refinery across the street as a bonus. You will see a number of Refinery and Contractor workers here. What you get is a very good breakfast, good portions, decent prices and a very friendly staff.

This place is pretty good for breakfast. Staff is always friendly and I aways enjoy my meal when I eat here. The food is consistently decent but their biscuits and gravy is just OK. They have a counter with baked goods that are really, really yummy.
