I have a long and difficult history with dentists. When I called this office after moving to Martinez, I explained to Dr. Swanson and his office manager that I was very sensitive about billing as I felt I had been gouged by previous dentists who took advantage of my poor teeth and double insurance. They have been nothing but wonderful– putting all procedural costs in writing and not pressuring non urgent procedures. Additionally, he is an excellent dentist who makes you feel very comfortable.

I was referred to Dr. Swanson by my fiancé who has been seeing him since she was 5years old or so. My previous dentist was fresh out of school and the term ‘practice’ seem correct for his business. Dr. Swanson on the other hand has lots of experience, and teaches at UCSF, he shouldn’t call his business a practice but a perfection. He can handle most things that other dentist refer out to specialists, but knows when something is beyond his scope and doesn’t mind admitting it. He and his staff are extraordinarily friendly and professional.
Overall he is the best dentist I have ever seen, and would recommend him to anyone.
