Not sure what has happened to this place. I have been eating here very regularly since TLT opened. The quality and preparation of the food has plummeted over the past few months. The enchilada I ordered last week was microwaved in a styrofoam box, the red sauce was very salty, the beans were gray and bland, and the chips were stale and broken. I hope the owners clear this up. I really like this place and become a regular again if the food improves.

I seriously love their wet burritos here. Doesn’t get any better than this! For $ 7.50 total, you get a meal that can last two days. So filling. They put everything but the kitchen sink in that burrito. My goodness! Thank goodness I work down the street so I can come as often as I like. Which is maybe once a month otherwise I’d weigh 300lbs!

Was very nicely surprised by this place… Got the 2 taco plate with rice and beans… really very good, grilled chicken had a nice smoky flavor My hubby had a steak chimichanga, he said it was also very good Pretty inexpensive too…

This is the perfect joint for a quick burrito. It gets super busy at lunch time on the weekdays, so I would suggest calling ahead. We like to get quick dinners to go here because it is similar to a ghost town in the evening. The Blue Plate Special(2 tacos w/rice and beans) is a fantastic deal(only $ 5.95) and the carne asada tacos are amazing.

Arrived here at 11:30am on a Friday looking forward to a couple of great combos. My wife ordered Chili Rellenos. She was told they didn’t have any. I ordered Tamal. I, too, was told they didn’t have any. What gives? The beginning of the lunch crowd and not available? We wound up getting soft tacos and enchiladas. The enchiladas were not cooked in any sauce, just grilled chicken(way over-cooked) and shredded chicken wrapped in a tortilla with cheese sprinkled over the top and sauce over the top. The sauce as salty. The hamburger meat(no shredded beef available) encased in my soft taco was ok. On a positive note, the young lady at the register taking orders was pleasant and the place was clean. We’ve had better Mexican food.

Had a totally fantastic burrito here during the Peddlers Fair. The service was really over the top good for a place where you put your order in at a counter and wait for your number. Just a really great experience for a small place like this.

Nice and cheap. Food wasn’t a standout, but this is a better bang for your buck than going to La Tapatia.

Bland, expensive. Not much else to say. Paid close to 10 bucks for a burrito that really wasn’t that good at all. The super wet burritos are alright, but you shouldn’t need to smother your food in cheese and mole to get a good flavor out of it.

The tacos at the beer festival hit the spot. After the festival we were walking around downtown looking for dinner and decided to hit the restaurant of the same name as the taco truck we just partook in. Well, let’s just say that the chilaquiles left a lot to be desired, even after a day of imbibing.

i’ve been here at least 5 or 6 times and the food has been consistant. GOOD not amazing though; But today i had the BESTchicken soft tacos ever from here, at first i thought it was just because i was starving but after rethinking it im just convinced that those tacos were delicious, maybe i got lucky? i’ll be back in a week or so to test out those tacos again =) This place is worth a try if your in the area.

I was in the neighborhood and I went in for a quick bite. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I was in the mood for Taquitos, but there were not on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Flautas instead and a Beverage. The Combo came with Rice and Refried Beans. The dish was also accompanied with Sour Cream and Guacamole. The lady gave me a generous portion of Chips, as well. There is a Salsa bar and a self serve Beverage machine. They had one of those Iced tea selection machines too. The food was very good and tasted fresh. The Chips were a little salty, but the Salsa made up for it. I was full by the 2nd Flauta and took the rest to go. I will be back again and try either the Tacos or the Carne Asada Burrito.

The food is good but their service is super slow and they allow people to cut their line. This place is like a forth or fifth choice for me only because it’s close toy office an their line is shorter almost always because they’re not as good as lots of other places downtown.

They really need to close the doors, or put a screen on them. The food isn’t bad, the salsa bar is pretty good, and the food was resonably priced, but the flies buzzing around the tables were really annoying. I might go back for takeout rather than sitting at the table.

yum. basic cheap taqueria downtown. they get an extra star because they were super super friendly and knew exactly what i meant when i asked if the rice and beans are vegetarian(they are). and didn’t give me flack for asking for sliced avocado instead of guacamole. they have a tiny salsa bar, which wasn’t super impressive but it still nice. should knock that extra star back off for having styrofoam cups but it seems like every place in town does. :(

Los Toros offers up some of the most uninspired tacos I’ve had. Only rivaled by the basket of what I believe to be Costco tortilla chips, and the tomato sauce pawned off as salsa. There’s way too many good taco joints to go back here.

I love Taqueria Los Toros! It is definitely the best Mexican food in Martinez! The prices are reasonable. I have only ordered the grilled chicken burrito, but have been pleased every time. They are pretty quick. The avocado salsa is to die for. There is a picture of two bulls on the wall. Their balls are the size of my face. Just to let you all know…

Taqueria Los Toros is a great little Taqueria in down town Martinez. I was on a jury for five days and spent three lunches at Taqueria Los Toros. Good tacos, fast service and not expensive. Fun and fast and good!

This is the worst Mexican food I have had in this area! I don’t know what kind of horrible Mexican food the other Unilocalers are used to but as an actual Mexican I think this place is horrible and overpriced. Talk about adding insult to injury! The Beans lack flavor. They are obviously cooked with just salt. If you are Mexican you know BLAND. The rice lacks fresh veggies and seasoning. The grilled chicken is missing seasoning. Even the Salsa and chips are missing something. BLAND, BLAND, BLAND!

This place was awesome. I had a wet vegetarian burrito and it was amazing. Best Mexican Food of the year. Price Point was amazing, 6.50 i think. Can’t beat that. My Father in law said the chicken smelled, but I’m a veggie and I cant vouch for that. Great place.
