Dive bar right downtown with ample parking within one block and colorful locals make this a favorite for some, but not me. I met in the half empty place for a first date around 6pm mid week and sat at the bar. The wait staff ignored us for over 20 minutes while pouring for all those around us. They cranked the music so loud that it could be heard across the street. We left and walked down to Rays Lounge. One star for the outfits worn by the wait staff.

Went there last week on a Friday and had a blast so made arrangements to meet new friends there tonight on a Tuesday. What a mistake. The bar tender out of the blue started screaming at people she was having drama with. We tried to ignore that and go on with our night. and then she closed the bar just before 11pm staying that she was having a bad night. I pay money to go out and escape drama… Will never go back when she is there. Was embarrassing that I invited new friends down to witness that.

Cool little dive bar downtown Martinez. The guy bartender got our drinks right away with compliment popcorn! Games playing on all the flat screens! It’s got all the essentials — good to go!!!

A dive bar yes! But a hellava lot of fun. The people in Martinez are super nice and welcoming. This place is smack dab in the middle of this sleepy little town. The drink prices are easy on the wallet too!

Went here one night with some friends, I had never been before but it turned out to be a pretty hopping spot. Bar tenders were great I think the big bald guy was the owner, he was pretty awesome, had some doubts when my friends said let’s go to a bar, because I’m not a really bar kinda person, but it turned out to be a Fabulous night ;) Popcorn and all ! The bartender and I even invented our own little drink haha ! Would totally go again !

A good, generally clean, dive bar.
I’ve been here twice, once on a Thursday night and once on a Friday afternoon, and was quite comfortable both times.
Like most bars of this caliber, it appears to be the place the locals hang out. The drinks are stiff, the bathrooms clean, and the company colorful.
I do have to dock it one star since they did not have either Bushmills or Sky vodka. Although they did have adequate substitutions.
The bartenders were quick and responsive. Despite their otherwise casual attitude, they appeared to have a good handle on the bar and its clientele.
They also have an internet enabled jukebox, which I am told one can control from their smart phone. However, I would think twice before loading it up with Appellation yodeling or Tuvan throat singing.
If you wish to hang out with the salt of the earth, this is he place. Leave your pretentious attitude at the door and you will have a good time.
