Pownall’s Bistro

Not impressed. We went here for lunch based on the recommendation of a coworker. I ordered the Cold cut sub. It seemed to be a lot of prepackaged meat (like you’d buy in the round plastic packages at the supermarket) slapped on top of a hoagie roll. I wouldn’t bother with it again, it was a little unappetizing. Service was very friendly, and some others in our group seemed to like what they had ordered, while others didn’t. I’d say our group of 12 people was split about ⁴⁰⁄₆₀ as far as liked the food/didn’t like the food. So take that as you will… seemed to be hit and miss. I won’t be going back.

This is a family owned establishment. You can order cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches or you can order hot food platters. The cost of the hot food platter is based on how much it weighs.
This is my first visit, Im not sure of the hot food change frequency
There are also dessert items, fudge, cookies and chocolate brownies.
There are two dining areas, one up front and a bigger room in the back of the restaurant.

The first time we ate here im assuming the owner a taller older man who happened to be cooking took our order and made everything to perfection we were excited we finally found a great mom n pops nearby our home but then the prices went up and the amount of food we got before we never got again it wasnt hard to tell either. I usually order a whole roast beef sub combo well they stopped offering that the last time we went in in order to get the other 6 inches of my sub i had to pay the same price as another entire combo RIP OFF!!! If its 7.99 for a half sub combo it shouldnt be twice that for a full!!! Not to mention the sub had half as much meat as before and half as many french fries! Its really dissapointing micromanaging for that quick buck and yet somehow they were voted best deli in town!!! I think not!

Just opened today, and full-​disclosure, the owners are clients of ours at TLC Photography. That said, I was really delighted with this bistro. Prices are reasonable, the food is plentiful and good. In addition to eat-​in, there is an ample selection of grab-​and-​go items, as well as a very nice variety of bakery items. The place was very clean and well appointed, and the restroom was spacious.
We will definitely be back, and soon.
