It’s no better than Seafood Sam’s and substantially more expensive. The only advantage is that its right in the middle of a small shopping village. Oh, the sangria was good. People rave about the lobster roll, and while it’s huge you absolutely pay for it twice over. You can generally get a lobster dinner elsewhere for the same price. Better off jumping in the car for 10 minutes and hitting the Raw bar, Cooke’s or Wimpy’s.

A little place at the Marketplace next to the Popponesset Inn at the New Seabury resort, serves all types of fresh seafood, which is rather normal. What stands is apart is the best Lobster Roll you can find anywhere. Regular lobster roll(cold with mayo) is a part of the standard menu, the hot lobster roll is a special. Yes, it is expensive($ 26.99), but it is so overstuffed(just the lobster with the very light mayo coat) that it is perfect to divide between the two people — will make it more than plentiful lunch. The other dishes are good too, like Fish and Chips. The place is small, offers both inside and outside seating. Highly recommended — if you are in the area and like Lobster Roll, you must try it.

This place is fantastic. We were there on Saturday night to enjoy the live music. My wife and I ordered the lobster roll and is was awesome. The clam chowder was delicious as well. The quality and freshness of the food is obvious with every bite. They were quite crowded but still delivered the food quickly and efficiently.

This place is a rite of passage for me. I have to go on our around my birthday every year. My former Gf introduced me. True gluttony is having a whole lobster roll to yourself.(to be honest I usually do split one while washing it down with rum punch). Some patrons seem to complain that the rolls are overpriced, but when I checked my fish monger he was charging $ 36.99 per lb last week and there is close to a pound in the sandwich. The raw bar has lots of Caribbean cocktails but the rum punches are the best with the 151 cherry bombs(don’t worry it is taxi or a DD for me I am not as stupid as i look.) For the real experience wait for a seat at the counter where owner and hard nosed Restaurant entrepreneur Bob Works most days and night. Don’t let that big heart and ready smile fool you Bob is a self made man who owns three or four restaurants. Bob is known for his distaste for cell phones as he thinks they distract from the atmosphere, but has relented recently. He also has a low tolerance for overly pushy people, he and his professional and attractive staff know you want that lobster roll right away, but so do 30 other people so do take your chill pill at the door. You are presumably on vacation. When you do go don’t mess around with anything else but the lobster roll. While the other food is good, it just doesn’t compare to the succulent deliciousness of the lobster roll!

Of course I always have a lobster roll at Bob’s. It is huge and delicious. You can order it with or without mayo. If no mayo, they offer butter on the side. They also have additional menu options like burgers and grilled cheese. Our previous visit they had special fish taco’s which were awesome. There is a bar inside the restaurant as well. Bob’s is located within a small upscale community called New Seabury in the town of Mashpee MA. There are additional retail stores in the complex that sell ice cream, pizza, candy and touristy trinkets. Subtracting one star for charging $ 27 for the lobster roll.

We have lived in Mashpee for 14 years and this was our first trip to this establishmment. Got the highly talked about lobster roll and fries, split between the both of us. The lobster roll does have a good amount of meat. The roll itself was not fresh, and I would have liked it toasted. The staff were friendly. We ate outside. Area is busy with shops. There is a «raw bar» next door(same food) that was packed with local«New Seabury» golfers. Seemed overloaded for fire codes to me. The food is served on paper plates. Total bill for the event was $ 35 for the sandwich, fries and bottled sodas. So in closing, been there and done it. I’ll make my own lobster rolls next time. 41# lobsters $ 25 and a package of fresh rolls $ 2.00. BUt please come and spend money in Mashpee.

The BEST Lobstah roll on Cape Cod. Bob’s has great food and a fantastic atmosphere. It is located in a little shopping center called the Popponesset Marketplace(it is on the left — look for a shell parking lot or the mini golf course out front) so it might be hard to find at first. In the marketplace there are some great shops like gift shops, candy store, toy store, mini golf, ice cream shop, pizza shop, etc. My grandson loves this marketplace! At Bob’s they have Lobster Rolls, fish, steak, wine & beer, etc. At night(especially Thursday-Sunday) it can get busy because they have live music there(which is a BLAST!!) on Thursday-Sunday nights. It is worth a trip if you are staying in the area and want to have a good meal and a fun time.

Fun cape experience with everything from great fried seafood to burgers and awesome steak tips. Very friendly staff, small full bar with traditional homemade sangria. They also serve the Raw Bar lobster rolls

We decided to try bobs and were glad we did. I am a big fan of a good lobster roll. It’s pricey $ 26 for just the sandwich but its got to have a pound of lobster inside and not too much mayo and no other fillers. My husband had the fried scallops and loved it too. Kids had an adult portion of chicken fingers to share. We enjoyed an ice cold cape cod summer beer while waiting. Food was quick. Only drawback is no ac inside. V casual place and kid friendly. A little tough to find. Suggest more signage because its in the middle of a little shopping marketplace within a housing development and next to an inn.

If you are a lobster fan and haven’t been here yet, go. Now. Biggest lobster rolls ever ever ever. Seriously. You’ve never seen anything like it. I promise. Spend the day at the beach and then head over for your lobster roll and a glass of wine. Fabulous way to end the day. On weekends they have live music on the little stage in the middle. Get there EARLY if you want to find a place to sit. Fantastic area/neighborhood too — my happy place. :)

The holy grail of lobster rolls!!! This place charges an arm and a leg for their lobster rolls, but it is with no hesitation that at least one must be consumed each summer. There has not been a place to date that give you the quantity of fresh, delicious lobster meat that this place does. Popponesset is an adorable little area with the most amazing lobster rolls I’ve ever eaten. I am dreaming of my next visit this coming weekend…

Humongous lobster rolls! Tons of chunky lobster meat. $ 23 yes. Best to share it and something else yummy. Nice outdoor seating. I imagine it gets packed on a regular basis with the locals because it’s tucked away in the New Seabury community which is within Mashpee itself.

This is the place that has the lobster rolls that Billy Costa from KISS108FM is crazy about. My friend got one when we visited this restaurant, and price aside I can see why! I got the the broiled scallops, rice, and a salad — all delectable! It’s rare to find fried seafood places that serve such delightful non-fried dishes, but this eatery has several options for folks like me who steer clear of fried foods. Speaking of fried foods, my friend says their fries are nothing to write home about — thus I am withholding one star here. A joint like this has to have good fries!!! Substandard fries are not acceptable, especially with such pricey meals. BUT, I will say this — if you don’t feel like you need to have fries with your dinner, opt for the rice pilaf. It is scrumptious! PS – this restaurant is surrounded with little beachy-touristy shops that are lots of fun to poke around in after dinner. And I know everyone here is raving about the lobster rolls, but trust me, try the broiled scallops. Holy yum, batman!

Yes, the lobster rolls are $ 23 or so, but they are huge and awesome! Go here! It’s a yearly tradition for us. Edit(7÷31÷11) — As some others have confirmed, and to my dismay, the lobster rolls appear to be smaller this year. Still great tasting, but less of a value, especially at that price.

Was trying to get somewhere else when I bumped into this place. Lobster roll is expensive but to be fair I took most of the meat home and made 2 more lobster rolls for my family later. No complaints other than the cost but might be good value for money.

This place has the most amazing lobster rolls I’ve ever tasted. There is so much meat, it’s unbelievable. Unlike most other places, they do not overload the roll with mayo, celery and other unnecessary add-ins. It’s pure hunks of lobster meat with just a little bit of mayo. Absolute lobster heaven. Two adults can definitely share one roll. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the prices are a bit outrageous. 4 people for lunch totaled $ 106!
