Food and service was great. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was the noise level. At 6:15 pm on a Friday, the noise from the bar made it hard to hear in the dining area. My husband and I noticed a difference in the noise level when the music changed later in the evening. My recommendation is to go later in the evening or request a table further away from the bar –especially if you are hard of hearing. However, It would not keep us from going back. The food is THATGOOD!

Nice fancy restaurant with and oddly placed bar item. The corner of the bar had a huge clear pineapple drink container that looked more for show than anything else. It’s a few inches from the corner so it really breaks up the continuity of the bar. I assumed they could move it, as I suggested when two people sat at in front of it. The bartender informed us it was hard wired from the bottom… Meaning they can’t move it. In my mind that is a waste of potential customer seating. This place should get rid of the pineapple drink container and cover the hole up with something like a stainless steel disc. Did I mention the spout was taped up with clear masking tape? I ordered the French dip, it came with two sides(default is steak fries and slaw) I switched mine to tater tots and pecan candied green beans. The sandwich was large and I didn’t finish it entirely, tots were crisp and the green beans were decent. I didn’t order wine but they had a nice Monday special going on with half price on select full glasses(8 oz) and bottles. Decent selection as well, maybe eight different Cabernet Sauvignon’s to choose from(my favorite). The bartender(Justin) did a swell job and I would come back again.

A very nice place. Steaks are out of this world! Great staff. The ONLY thing that would keep me from going back is the noise! REALLY noisy. The ambience of a high school gym before the game starts. I know there is nothing they can do about it. The space is the space. If you hate noisy restaurants, this isn’t your place. If noise doesn’t bother you, go forth and enjoy. One other thing, in the both I felt like a spotlight was blazing on me. Gotta tone those down.

Service was awful. They might want to consider staffing the place with people that actually want to be there. I think our server was more interested in her phone than our table.

Today was my first visit, we went for lunch. Everything had great flavor and we had great service. I’m looking forward to going back for a huge steak and giving it a real test. When I got home I fired off some farts.

OMG! So good, we had a 20 minute wait, not bad for a Saturday night. The lobster queso was everything everyone said it was. We split the beef tenderloin and jumbo shrimp entrée, substituted the asparagus for the bacon jelly brussell sprouts. Plenty of food. Would have gotten 5 stars, but the dessert(banana caramel pudding) was going to take 20 minutes. Wish we had known and would have ordered it with our meal. It was the reason we split an entrée. Needed to get on the road, so couldn’t wait.

Service was top notch! Food was hot and delicious. We were there for dinner before the rush. Everybody was friendly, and it was a relaxing experience. When the server heard I would be sharing my ceasar with my daughter, my server offered to have the kitchen split it for us. Everything was hot. The coconut shrimp were good, and served with enough greens to constitute a small salad. My daughter ordered the kids ribs. They were were not very smokey or meaty. She likes them. Hopefully these are different than the adult ribs. My medium blue cheese filet came out as medium rare, lots of red. I prefer med rare, but order medium when at a new place just in case, and that worked out in my favor this time. My wife ordered medium kebabs. They came out well done, no pink. She was ok with that because it was still tender and flavorful. So why 4 stars despite 2 dishes being prepared not as ordered? 2 reasons. The dishes were still hot and delicious, and the service was ultra friendly and quick.

In has eaten here for happy hour with a friend and her and I were stuffed on the half price appetizers and the $ 5 martinis in the lounge. That was about 2 months ago. This week, my husband and I went to dinner there and had surf and turf prime rib with an add-on lobster tail. The meat was cooked to my preference at medium rare and the lobster tail was spectacular. Large portions to take home for a snack. We also had the coconut shrimp which was excellent. Our server was very friendly and informational. My only complaint would be the lighting in the dining room is a little bright — other than that I hope it does well because the food is great and affordable.

The service was out of this world. There was a mistake made with my steak the first time we went but they bent over backwards 5 times over to make sure my steak AND the inconvenience was made right. I feel like a VIP every time we go there. And the carrot cake served warm topped with warm salted carmel… holy cow!!! We have gone back a few times just for desert.

My husband and I chose this place to eat lunch and what a wonderful experience it was! Heather was our waitress and she was friendly and very attentive. I had the fish tacos with a side of port mushrooms and they were fantastic. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a BLT side salad that is among the best we’ve ever had. Larry the manager came to our table and inquired about my freshly stitched knee and after telling him about my knee replacement surgery brought us a crème brûlée cheesecake that was just heavenly. Overall the food was very good and the service was over the top! We will eat there again!

So I’ve been eyeing this place for a while. But was waiting for a special occasion to go. Fortunately, a birthday came around. So even though it wasn’t my birthday, I got a present… win! Pro-Tips: 1. 6:30 on a weeknight, the parking lot was packed. People were actually parking in the Whole Foods lot next door. My partner in crime and I were getting to the point of hangry, so we were hoping the wait wouldn’t be too long. Don’t be fooled, this restaurant is expansive inside, we didn’t have to wait at all… thankfully! 2. The happy hour specials are only available in the bar. I’m not used to this and was disappointed. So, the ambiance is nice. Again, lots of people inside eating if I’m using the parking lot as an indicator. But when you go in, you’re not sitting on top of each other and can actually have a conversation with your guest. It’s surprisingly intimate. The menu consists of four to five appetizers, a salad menu that appeared quite creative. There were even some unique add ins to your salads like sautéed portobella mushrooms. Then there were entrees mainly beef dishes, a little surf… you know lobster and shrimp and a chicken dish or two. Other than that there were burgers and what appeared to be an expansive wine list. On to the important stuff… FOOD! We were not disappointed. I had a bacon wrapped filet mignon. It had the perfect char grill marks and melted in your mouth and the cherry on top was a loaded baked potato. Sooo good. The other entrée we enjoyed were ribs with a Java BBQ. Rumor has it these are the best ribs in Cincy. Try them for yourself and find out. Additionally we ordered lobster queso, the lobster wasn’t hidden. There were actually large parts of lobster in there. Definitely not hidden, which was nice. The sitting space is both expansive yet intimate. The bar as you walk in is fairly large. The music is at a level noticeable, but not too loud. And our servers was particularly friendly and attentive. Overall, an appetizer and two entrees plus tip ran us around $ 80, which considering it’s a steakhouse wasn’t unexpected and seemed reasonable. It’s a little pricey, but it really is a nice steakhouse and probably a little less expensive than some of the other better known places around.

Went there with wife and adult son for the first time on Sunday, August 16th to celebrate special occasion. The décor is outstanding. A very warm and inviting dining room and bar area. Will definitely come back with wife for date night. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta, wife had a chicken with salsa dish and son had his first filet mignon. All the food was outstanding and quite memorable. Just the right amount of spices and the portions were generous. Looking forward to next visit.

My husband and I went here for lunch and were very impressed. First of all, the décor is beautiful. We sat on the patio, which we thought was one of the nicest patios in the mason area. Plus the patio will be great in the fall because of the heaters they installed. My husband had the BLT salad with grilled chicken. He thought it was delicious and loved that the chicken was hot and grilled because that can be so hard to find for salads. I tried they lunch portion of the baby back ribs and they were fantastic! Perfect size and a great price for lunch! It came with a cider slow that was amazing! The prices are a little high but it’s a steak restaurant, so it was what we expected. We are definitely going to come back for dinner to try the steak and key lime pie! Yum!

My wife and I have been to this location about a dozen times since it opened. Food is always good — service is excellent. While there are a couple steak houses that have better steaks — those steaks come at a higher value. For value and service, this place is top notch. I’m usually disappointed when an establishment serves it’s own branded wine, but Firebird’s has proven to be an exception. Terrific red blend.

Let me just start off by saying that the interior of the restaurant is expertly done and looks fantastic. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and seem to know the menu reasonably well. Ambiance music fits the place, but could be a bit lower. Now onto the food: I went there with my mom just as a nice lunch before an event; we only ordered two things. She ordered the crispy fish tacos(Mahi-Mahi) and they were great! There is for sure enough fish; the tortilla is tiny compared to the piece of fish. I got the Durango burger; which was giant, and expertly made. The meat was the melt-in-your-mouth type and the sauce was a nice complement. Overall the service was great, along with the food! The price is reasonable for the size of the meal and a place I will definitely come back to.

I dont normally try a place so soon after opening, but the great reviews it was receiving drew me in. along with the great smell when you drive down Mason-Montgomery Rd. We went at sort of an odd time of day, around 4pm, to try and get in on the Happy Hour, however let me warn you, its only available if you sit in the bar. There was a large group of business people in there so we chose to stay at our comfy booth. The décor is warm and classy. I was a little confused with a our service, as we had an initial waitress come over, then another one took over for her, and a third person was assisting that waitress with drink refills/food delivery. They were all friendly, but I prefer 1 person. We started out with the Lobster Queso, which, if I had no manners, would have licked the bowl clean it was so good. Unfortunately the ratio of dip to chips was much less and we had some left overs. Luckily the chips were good on their own(the waitress mentioned house made). Little pricey for the small amt you get, but thats the price you pay when lobster is involved. For the main course we both got the Kobe Meatloaf. The meat itself was perfect and had a great wood fired flavor. I wanted to love the mushroom sauce on top, as I can never get enough ‘shroom, but it was way too salty. The mashed potatoes and green beans were excellent. Wish I had room for desert, as the menu choices looked yummy, but I could barely finish my main course after the rich queso. Will have to try again next visit!

Saturday night dinner with my wife — got a bar area table right away, bonus! The interior is awesome — exactly the style of restaurant Mason needed, bordering on upscale and comfortable. The seating selection and layout is very cool with multiple options depending on your party size. We chose a booth at the back of the bar area — has oversized pillows along with high top chairs, very comfortable. Service is very good and attentive. Had a good conversation with the Manager and she checked on our experience. The food — is some of the best I have had in a long time. I travel quite a bit and get a chance to sample from a lot of larger city’s food choices and this selection and quality rivals some of the better«boutique» restaurants in Chicago, Boston and beyond. Definitely the new spot for us to go to with family, friends or date night.
