Another chain restaurant I visited with coworkers while in town on business. Again, pleasantly surprised. Huge bar with so many different beers on tap. It was a hard decision. The bartender let me taste quite a few different beers before selected one and then another. The food was really good. The portions large. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and would totally order that again. My coworkers got the fish and chips and another got the macaroni and cheese both tasty. We also ordered artichoke dip, pretzels and cheese dip, and a huge plate of potato wedges smothered with stuff all very good. I go back to try different things on the menu because the choices were vast. How can you go wrong with bread pudding made from a cinnamon roll. That was my lunch the next day.

Used to be an awesome place but they’ve remodeled and changed the menu. Friends still like it so we go, but I try to stay away because they’ve taken off the menu the Monte Cristo!

Food is a 5 out of 10. Not true Irish food. They do have bushmills and Jameson’s on display taps. Good selection of tap beers. I would recommend for drinks but not for dinner.

We were traveling and staying at a nearby hotel so we stopped here to eat. I had a cup of the clam chowder and it was good, not too thick and goopy like so many places. I also had the fish and chips and the fish was definitely some of the best I have ever had especially state side.

Ok, got suckered. I am here from Southern California and was headed to Robins Ribs and saw the«Irish Pub.» Not being from around here I thought his would feel a little like home. Without knowing this was an east coast chain it felt like a TGIFs right away. Te bartender was a nice enough guy and was very attentive. My guess is that the VERY conservative pour of Jameson’s is a corporate thing. The menu looked like something from a TGIFs. It was enormous. I would no more have tried the stew or shepards pie given true Irish dishes require commitment. I had the easy enough corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes. Hard to F that up. Average at best. You can tell this is not the real deal when there is no vinegar on the bar. Did I mention that during my time there not one Irish song played? All contemporary stuff. Verrrry irishy. Social media wise this place is out of touch. I don’t know what the habits of bars are around here but I found it really odd that in order to use their wifi I needed to create a user account requiring an email address. No thank you. I suppose this would be an ok place for a gathering after work but don’t call this poser an Irish pub.

Claddagh has been around for a while. I’ve been here many times with friends and coworkers for drinks and because a buddy of mine plays fiddle in a Celtic band which appears here frequently. This trip I was a lunch hosted by a recruiter with a consulting company myself and a handful of others are running through at a company near this location. Prior to this trip I frequently would get a Shepherd’s Pie or a stew of some sort. But they aren’t the best versions of those around. This trip I went for the Patty Melt which is made with corned beef and swiss on rye, and fries on the side. The sandwich was ok, and the fries were a little cold. The server was prompt and accommodating with my beverage requests, so there’s that. If you like Irish food or Pub Grub I suggest checking elsewhere. Past experiences as well as this one lead me to suggest only hitting this place for drinks and live music with friends.

The place had a great selection of Irish beers and a nice, large Irish pub layout. I had the shepherd’s pie and it was AMAZING! Can’t say I’ve experienced ground beef that tasted tender before… mmmmm… The staff seemed a bit disorganized but that could have been because it was the day before St. Paddy’s day(not really an excuse in my book). If you’re an Irish beer fan I think this place will keep you happy and they also serve a couple on nitro like they’re supposed to.

This place is not Irish. I came hoping for a great selection of Irish food and was presented with a giant chain menu filled with random americanized food that looked and sounded awful. I settled with the Bangers and Mash which is a pile of mashed potatoes with a couple sausage links doused in gravy. It seemed like the most Irish thing on the menu and boy was it bad. I tried to order a couple of Beers and was followed up by we no longer have those. So I just randomly picked one and of course it was bad. The service was dismal, and the atmosphere noisy and crowded. I wouldn’t recommend going here at all.

I came here with a movie group on Christmas eve. Told the waitress that we were trying to get a movie at a certain time. Ordered soup and salads and other people who ordered after us got there food before us. We ended up missing the movie that we wanted to see because of this disregard. I don’t think I’ve ever waited so long to get a salad. They brought my friend her salad with chicken on it, when she ordered she told them she is a vegetarian. My cesar salad had way to much dressing. We had a party of 10 so even with the horrible service, there was an 18% gratuity included. I seriously don’t believe they even earned that. I’ve been here once before, with moderate service, but this time we were all seriously disappointed in their service.

Terrific Irish Pub! I was In the area on business and was so surprised we found this little diamond, or I should say emerald, in the rough. You would never think a place like this would placed in a shopping plaza. However we were looking for a few pints and good grub, and we struck gold! By far the best food we’ve had during our 6 wk stay. Great beer selection even thou I always get Guinness — During my visits, I had the fish n’ chips and the Jameson burger. Delicious Great service. Very friendly. Highly recommended!

Food was bland… tilapia, corned beef and cabbage, salmon, etc… NIce décor. Appetizers were not bad… wings, shrimp, onion rings…

Perhaps it is the Scottish blood coursing through my veins, but I find $ 6 for a pint to be rather pricey. That’s what all the restaurants are charging though, so I guess that’s average these days. Also decidedly average, the spinach and artichoke dip. I’ve recently gone back to vegetarianism and found Claddagh’s offerings to the herbivores to be really limited. Onion rings, garden salad, curried egg salad, veggie burger(with a lime dressing that sounded really off-putting) or spinach and artichoke dip is what we’re left with. Fine. And it was fine. It looked like someone made a half-assed attempt to grill the bread served with the dip. The dip itself was just like every other spinach and artichoke dip I’ve ever had. Ho hum. Our bartender was personable and thoughtful. We were hanging out for the evening and she offered to heat up the dip after it sat for a bit. Claddagh offers a decent selection of draught beers and she helped me choose a tasty porter. Another bartender, however, kind of grossed me out. He hocked a loogie in full view of everyone sitting at the bar. What the hell, dude? That’s why bathrooms and backrooms were invented. Overall, though, Claddagh isn’t much different than Brazenhead or Dinglehouse. And, frankly, I’m not tripping over myself to return to any of them.

Best Fish & Chips in the area! The décor is of a typical Irish Pub, complete with wooden interior and European football(soccer) banners and playing on the TV’s in the bar. If you want good Fish & Chips this is the place, not your tiny bite size pieces of cod, this is a full sized piece of cod fried in beer batter. They even have malt vinegar. P. S. mondays is buy one get one free Fish & Chips

I love coming here for karaōke. Unless there’s massive amounts of snow or ice on the ground, I’m typically there on a Saturday night, belting my heart out. :) Food-wise, the pub chips are amazing with ranch dressing. I like the salmon, and the caprese salad as well. My friends are huge fans of the Monte Cristo sandwich. Quite a few yummy options here. Giving it four stars because a couple weeks ago, the manager(a n00b, we were told) closed the bar at 1:00 a.m., and now I’m always nervous that if they don’t have enough business, they’ll close early again. Hasn’t been a problem since, but it’s always going to be in the back of my head now!

So I’m on a healthy kick and avoided beer AND fish n chips.(The sheer pain of turning away beer at this place is almost equal to a horrible infection I got after having my wisdom teeth pulled.) Their Galway Salad + vinaigrette & steak & extra goat cheese is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and try the baked goat cheese app some day.(Clearly I have a goat cheese problem.)

I have been here twice, so here goes more of a personal narrative than a standard review. Those are more fun anyway, right? Right? Right-o. First off, I waffled(mmm, waffles) between granting this place 3 or 4 stars and finally decided on 4, rounding up from the 3.5 I’d actually give them. My first visit to this Irish themed drinking establishment was a baaaaaad date.(Baaaaaaad, like«who let that sheep in here?» baaaaaad.) The food was meh, the company was bleh, and the place was practically a ghost town. Plus side, I decided after this crappy date(which was the last straw in a series of awful dates) to dump my unfavorable company, and happily embraced single-hood since being single trumps being miserable with someone every time. This guy used up his second chance already, and he was out. But the pub deserved a second chance! My second visit was about a year later, and happily I discovered they had upgraded their menu. But this is my sad face :(for the fact that they don’t have deep-fried pickles, which are fairly standard Irish Pub fare for some reason. They did, however, have my second major weakness, which is pub chips and the most garlic-fabulous dip ever. It was so garlickeriffic that it made me long for a bad date to torture with my newly-found breath of doom. However, after a year of being single, making out with my hand would have to suffice. After all, I’d had a year of practice, and the hand doesn’t shy away from icky breath. Moving on to less awkward topics, the night my friends and I descended upon the pub to hear their favorite Irish band, Dulahan, play was a night of at least a dozen utterances of «Okay, so this is totally not the bar’s fault.» It wasn’t their fault they had a 150 people show up for a wake, or that they were thus out of both of the beers on tap for which I was thirsty. Not a problem, as there were other beers available to satiate my thirst. The food was much more agreeable on this visit, unless you were my friend who got the corned beef that was so bland she had to put salt on it. Yeah, seriously. However, the manager was super nice and comped the meal when we complained on her behalf(which mostly we don’t do because sending food back is a scary notion no matter where you are). Also super nice was our server, who was also hilarious and really cool. In fact, all the wait-staff that we dealt with that night seemed like really cool people, which is always a plus to meet people with personalities who don’t seem like they were manufactured«to serve man.» In conclusion, congrats if you’ve read this far since apparently I decided to unload several of my personal problems onto this review. If you go to see a band, make sure you tell the hosts you’d like to sit nearish to the stage(which they can accomodate if you show up early enough and it doesn’t interfere with someone’s wake!). Also, apparently Saturday night is Karaōke night for those that are into that sort of thing(though I am not certain how late it starts.) Final note: the bathrooms get a clean vote of approval!

Went there for dinner on a business trip. I must say this is a real cool hang out place; and they have very good food, and as I was told very good beer selection. I myself am not a beer drinker, but my colleagues who I went along with are, and they tried different beer and said it was all excellent. Their spinach-artichoke dip is TODIEFOR! You must order it! Also nice to have the pool table and the dart boards. All and all makes it for a great evening.

It should be noted that this review is of the restaurant, not the bar. We went there for dinner and sat at a table — I hear the beer selection is great and a lot of people like the bar part of Claddagh. That being said, the food was really bad. Everything we tried was either boring/bland, or borderline offensive(the phrase ‘not fit for human consumption’ came up at least once during dinner). The table was extremely sticky, and the ketchup from the bottle on said table tasted like someone had poured dish soap in it. Our waitress, on the other hand, was excellent — which pulls this from one star to two. Other locations may offer better fare, as when we went a sign proclaimed the Mason Claddagh had just gotten a new chef.

Great pub atmosphere, although there are no booths(that we could see). The fireplace was a bit tainted by the giant plasma TV hanging above it. Food was surprisingly good. Decent beer selection. Prices are reasonable. I think I’d like to visit again sometime.

I usually stop by Claddagh on my way from Columbus to Cincinnati to visit a friend who works there. I’ve been to a couple of Claddaghs, and this one is probably the least interesting. It’s not Claddagh’s fault, though. The restaurant is placed firmly in the the middle of a sprawling suburban parking lot(and there is a very good view of this parking lot from an otherwise interesting patio). Claddagh is baby corporate. It has, I think, 12 or so restaurants. So even though the business model is just being duplicated wherever they think they can make a buck, it still has a little independent charm. Like Claude, the little fish that swims in a small bowl on the bar. I ordered a pint of Harp and the Shepherd’s pie. The food was good, but I didn’t like the presentation. When I think of Shepherd’s pie, I think of dirty Irishmen beating would-be attackers with rough hewn clubs. My dinner looked more like soufflé in a French restaurant topped with a mashed potato swirl. A SWIRL? ONMYSHEPHERD’S PIE? Dirty old Irishmen don’t swirl their mashed potatoes. This isn’t a pub, either. Some of the Claddaghs could pass as pubs. Not this one. It’s a mix of sports bar and family restaurant. Maybe like a Gaelic Applebee’s. However, the guy next to me sat down at the bar with his young son. The bartender informed the man that children weren’t allowed to sit at the bar. So he told his son to go sit at a table by himself. Seriously. The guy just sat there and drank with a friend while his son tried to make napkins seem fun. So, you can bring your kid, you just can’t hang out with him. As far as the bar goes, they have an excellent Scotch selection. Far better than most restaurants. And although I think the beer selection could be better, it’s above average.
