This is my first one star review. I’ve come to this location several times, and it’s always terrible. It’s not the merchandise or the chain itself-it’s the customer service. Bad is an understatement. I’m a plus-sized girl. I like to wear cute clothes, and Lane Bryant is one of the few places around here that I can go in and find cute jeans. There aren’t a ton of stores in the area that carry bigger sizes, so my options are a bit limited. That being said, I’ve started shopping online to avoid coming here. When I walk in, I’m lucky to get a greeting from someone. Sometimes the workers are helping other people(not a problem) or are gathered together and talking(problem). Not terrible, as I don’t need to be chaperoned, but some interest would be nice. The problem happens when I need a dressing room. Every single time, same thing happens: I stand in front of the dressing room, arms full of clothes, and wait. Then I wait some more. And I keep waiting. Where are the employees? Talking to each other. No, really. I’ll walk over after a few minutes, and someone will ask if I’m ready to pay. Um, no, I’d like to try these on first. Then I get a dressing room, and am again ignored. No asking how I’m doing, no asking if I need another size. Nada. My favorite was the woman talking on her cell phone behind the counter. I finally walked over and asked for a dressing room, and she raised her finger for me to wait. I left. Here’s the thing-I am standing there trying to give you my money. I want to exchange this money for goods. Your goods. Yet the staff here seems to go out of their way to prevent that from happening. I’m a pretty reasonable person, and it takes a lot to get me upset. The staff at this location has done it too many times. They’ve lost me as a customer-online retailers get my cash instead.
