Friday night dinner. We happened to go on the first night they were open for dinner. Give it a try. We’ll be back!

We took our grandson here for lunch while visiting family and we had a great time. I will say their child’s burger was HUGE! The burgers we had were great. Cooked to our order and big. The other foods we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good as well and the portions seemed very large. I thought the fries were a little bit limp for my tastes but I like them a bit more crispy. The waitress was wonderful and very engaging. We were there till they were cleaning up at the end of the lunch shift and one of the waitress was singing while sweeping and had a great voice. Everyone was so nice to our grandson. I even tried the grape nut custard and while it was good I would probably not try it again. Just not my think although I love custard. A true old style diner with great murals around the ceiling of local attractions.

Never, ever a disappointment. The food is consistently hearty and fresh. My favorite is the Popeye omelette with hash browns, but I have seen crepes stuffed with fresh strawberries that look like art. Service is always top notch. You may have to wait a little while, but the turnover is quick.

Coffee was great. We liked our breakfast. Abner had an omelette and I had the breakfast special that included the linguica hash. That was really, really delicious. The server said that the linguica hash is not a regular menu item though. I guess we hit it right today. Service was good. Just an old diner, like you would expect.

so-so… had a sausage omelet and home fries. on the bad side, sausage is a processed sausage patty cut up, home fries are frozen seasoned potato cubes, and were totally dried out. nothing else on the plate for garnish/presentation. on the good side, the service was great, the coffee outstanding. i think the cook needs a little more pride in their work.

Excellent, friendly service. Good food… local flavor and great prices! Try the linguica benedict on a homemade cheese roll! Awesome! Wicked awesome!
