Bocce’s Bar and Grill

Horrible service. The only thing good is the wings but the customer service is horrible. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Please take your money and services else.

Don’t go here on weekends!!!
I went here last night for a friend’s birthday party. They made us wait 45 minutes in line. They let my friend in once he recognized a security guard, but they wouldn’t let me in. I had to wait another 10 mins for my friend to come get me in. This place is a joke! They were saying they were at capacity but letting people in that knew someone inside. They were acting like we were downtown, or better yet Las Vegas. Security is a bunch of mall cops.

Service however was HORRIBLE!!!
Waited 1hr before someone took our order. Waited another 45 minutes before receiving food. No one returned to check on us. I did not like the drink I ordered so tried ordering another one but was unsuccessful. Unfortunately I made the mistake of coming to a restaurant hungry so was extra frustrated.
Still the worst part of the evening was the female owner had an altercation with someone in our party who was upset about the poor service and so they requested a manager.
Our party was very large, (A middle aged crowd of ppl all of whom were employed and was a diverse group celebrating a coworkers new job)
we were seated between several tables so we were not aware at the time until everyone at the table stood up abruptly.
We were told we had to leave because another party was coming, and regardless of the fact that ppl had not finished eating or drinking due to service being so slow, and worse was they called the police to remove us, just in case.
So we each requested to close out our checks which were not discounted or adjusted for the inconvenience, and when the waitress finally showed to bring our portion of the check, a gratuity was already added.
It truly was a horrible experience and we never received an apology.
I won’t be returning but wish I had read the reviews first, I would have never taken that long drive.

The Greek pork chop was great. Friendly service. I was in town for work and got in town late. The kitchen was open and they had $ 1 draft beers. Very reasonable price. My bill for the meal and 4 beers was under $ 20

I live in the area and eat here all the time. It’s a sports bar with great bar food. It doesn’t try to be any more than that which is not a bad thing. So no, the bartenders aren’t going to waste time juggling shakers and showing off their tricks and «flair.» They’re going to make the drink you ordered and serve really great food. In fact, their greek chicken is excellent, their chicken alfredo is my favorite, the pork chops… really can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

I love the food. The owners are always available to ask questions and any feedback about your service. The menu has a lot of variety and so far every item I have ordered is delicious. My favorites are Greek chicken, Cajun salmon, chicken nachos, and their tropical long island. I also love they have drink and food specials daily.

I came here for my cousin’s 40^th birthday party, we had an amazing time, great food, drinks and service. The music was great, as well. I had a jack and coke and a lemon drop martini, both were nice and strong. I loved how they prepared the potato skins, they put the bacon in between the layers of cheese, so when you eat it, the bacon doesn’t get everywhere, awesome idea, why doesn’t every place make them like that?

I’ve tried. Okay the first time I wrote a post, I thought that i might have been a bit unfair. But it was worse the second time around.

I have gone to this bar several times and some nights are crowded and some are not. For the most part, its a nice spot to go hangout. The Food is good and the drinks are strong… Drinks will have you leaning like a «broken ship.» lol. If you dont like strong drinks, make sure you tell the bartender…

Bar far best drinks and bar tenders around. Mature crowd good music and prices. With all the new bars popping up its still stands out above the rest.

The bar food is good, but not spectacular, but what would you expect it’s a bar not a five star restaurant. It does taste like it was thawed out and warmed up, but then again that’s not a surprise.
The furniture and décor are outdated. There’s never really anyone new coming in this place, so unless you are looking for a familiar face this isn’t the spot for you. It’s a dive bar in a town where there’s absolutely nothing to do, so on a good night it might be packed with people chatting, dancing, or watching the game. I guess the fact that Matteson is in the middle of no where explains why they attempt to charge a cover on occasion. On an average night, it’s as dead as an abandon saloon like something on the set of an old black and white western.
I’d also pass on the patrons. The women are unbelievably full of gossip and negative comments about each other. Typically, in a 30-​somethings bar you’d expect women to carry themselves in a much classier way. On occasion they have DJ’s, which are a special treat and so that places Boccee’s above what you’d expect of a sports bar in the middle of a ghost town.

The food was great… the service sucked royally!!! The waitress had a yucky disposition when asked about a charge on our bill. I would order to go and not waste my time unless u have time to kill.

AWFUL!!! Went there for dinner in Sept 12 — our server was rather rude. One of my colleagues asked for a few side items which were never received. We requested our check and waited over 20 minutes while the server talked to a friend at the bar. The food was not good, but the drinks were strong. I would advise against this place though.

The drinks are OKAY. The bartenders aren’t familiar with how to make a lot of drinks. The waitress ignored us several times and only answered when she felt like it. I’ve been here twice and I won’t be back.

Love this place! Great food with nice drink specials on certain nights. If you go on Thursday (after work) they have nice drink specials. I purchased a vodka & cranberry for $ 4.00. Yaaay me !!!

Love it… love me a ghetto koolaid! Very good and consistent food!

Me and friends stumbled in Bocce’s after realizing the limited things to do in the south suburbs one Friday night. The crowd was 30+ and there was a $ 5 cover to get in. We ordered some wings which were decent but nothing special. I had a margarita and a martini which were both just ok. The DJ played a good mix of rap, reggae, and r&b so I was content.

I went of a Friday night and the place was pretty crowded. Most of the women there were overweight. Definetely not a place to pick up hot girls. The DJ was pretty good. As soon as the place closed the bounces started yelling at everyone saying it’s time to go. It was like they were prison guards. I planned on taking a pic of the place for Unilocal,but after they way the boucers acted, no way.

Ive been going to Bocces for about 7 years, and it is a decent establishment on the weekdays. This place is good to go to with a few good friends for dinner… I normally order the buffalo wings and fries, and i admit they make great chicken lol. Sometimes there is a comedy show on Sunday nights, but the audio speakers are terrible. The crowd is so noisy that you cant hear the comedians.
I dont go here much on the weekend because i dont like the rough crowd, and the security guards pat the women and men down searching for weapons… I dont like that… darn its just a bar! Its good to go between the hours of 7pm and 10pm on Friday or Saturday. After that time it gets very crowded. Sometime there is a 10 dollar cover charge on the weekend, and the attire is jeans and gym shoes.
The men are often ugly and old, but forget them… The chicken is great!
