This panera bread location is horrible. I picked up a coffee with plain bagel this morning. I got to work and open the bag. My bagel has some green stuff all over the bottom of it like it had been dropped in something then picked up. Before today I order a earl grey tea. I was given the tea in the drive up but the lid had lipstick all over it like it had been used before. I immediately pulled over went inside and asked for a manager. There was no apology just here’s a cup get some hot water and make it yourself. There are health code violations that need to be addressed.

I love Panera Bread so much. We we travelling through to Michigan and decided to stop for lunch. As usual, everything was delicious. The restaurant was clean, the tables to sit at were clean and the service was fast. I didn’t know that Panera now has online ordering! I can’t wait to try it.

Stopped for a quick bite. The sandwich was okay but not spectacular. It would have been much better warm. The cashier, however, was excellent! Very knowledgeable about their products and various dietary needs.

So I came here looking to buy a cake for my staff. I bought the cinnamon crumb cake and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. The cakes was so yummy! The top crust was just the perfect amount of crunchiness and so soft and moist in the inside. I wish I had gotten a coffee to drink with it. ;) By the way, this location has a drive-thru!

We all know that the purpose of the drive-thru is to conveniently not have to get out of your car to get food. That didn’t happen with me today. This is my second time coming to this establishment. First time with the drive-thru, got a salad, no problem. Today, major problems. I was the second car in line and I don’t know what was going on with the car in front of me but it was taking a very long time. I placed my order with a gentleman and was asking him a question through the speaker. I don’t know who it was but some woman answered through the speaker and said«pull up to the front!!» which I thought was rude and I said«no, I would like the answer to my question» to which he answered. I got to the front window and was given my food by a woman employee. Parked in the lot because I felt like something wasn’t right. Checked my bag. Ordered the ½ Asiago steak sandwich, Chicken orzo soup and blueberry muffin. Easy, right? No spoon for my soup(I guess I was supposed to use my hand), sandwich had no dressing on it and was dry of course. What does this mean I had to do? On my short lunch, I had to walk inside which I resented. Talked to the General Manager, told her the issue and she asked«was there anything else in the bag — choice of chips, apple, etc.?» I was like«no». So that was something else that wasn’t included. As they were replacing my order, I went to the ladies room. Came out and was handed a bag. Checked it again and my soup wasn’t put back in the bag and I had to ask for it. Ugh! At no time did the General Manager apologize even though I felt like the drive-thru staff was going to hear about this incident from her. After all those shenanigans, my $ 11.99 order of food items I didn’t even enjoy. Total waste of time and money. I won’t be back.

It was a downpour when my boyfriend and I stopped in last Sunday. I had to run out to the car twice to get stuff. The employees were so empathetic towards me. They were very helpful and offered me napkins to dry off. I used to work at a Panera back in the day so I could tell that the guy preparing the food was new. He was painfully slow at prepping the few orders that were placed and I was pretty surprised that they made each sandwich to order since I knew that in preparation for lunch rush, it wasn’t uncommon to pre-make a few of the more popular sandwiches and store them in the warmer. While the service was a bit on the slow side, the sandwich was delicious and everything was prepared to perfection.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here… Things seem to have changed, sadly for the worse. While the cashier was pleasant, she had to do a lot! She took the orders and made the drinks and got the food. However a manager was walking about with a clip board for some reason as the line got longer and longer. She should have helped out. Eventually, an older employee, who seemed to doing something for herself, was asked to offer assistance. This woman made made my drinks,(four smoothies), which were all supposed to be the same, however, had about ½ cup variance in some. The bottom line they are under-staffed.

This Panera has a drive thru and it took 20 minutes of waiting for my food around 3pm!!! There was a long line outside and all I wanted was to order one drink. By the way, I don’t think it’s a good idea to even have a drive thru option for Panera since their food selection takes awhile to prepare any way! When they finally took my order, they got it wrong so they told me to park my car up front and someone will bring the drink to my car. Well I waited for 10 more minutes until someone did bring it outside. The frozen mocha didn’t even taste like a frozen mocha that Panera usually makes. It was too sweet and mostly mixed with chocolate syrup. I could even see the chocolate syrup on top! It tasted awful that I didn’t even finish it and threw it away. I’ve never had a negative experience with the service inside but the drive thru was unorganized and slow.

There’s nothing worse than biting into a cookie and pulling a hair out! What’s even more gross is that it doesn’t even look like a human hair, it look like a dog hair. I tried to contact Panera by phone to notify them that maybe they should get rid of that batch of cookies, but no one answered the phone. I will NOT ever visit that location again.

The only reason I don’t come here more often is because if I ate their pastries everyday I would gain 20 pounds. Delicious food, clean, nice employees

I work in an office in downtown Chicago and attempted to place an order using the Rapid Pick Up service online. I inadvertently placed an order to this location. In all honestly, I’m not even sure how it happened. I hit the ‘back’ button to fix my order and somehow placed it at the wrong location. I immediately called Panera and they transferred my call to this location. I explained my situation to the employee who answered the phone. I was transferred to the manager. He asked me if I lived in the area and if that’s how I accidentally placed the order for their location. I told him that I live nowhere near Matteson and that I live in Vernon Hills, which is about 65 miles from Matteson. In all honestly, I hadn’t even heard of Matteson until I accidentally sent my order to this Panera. He was super nice and extremely understanding. He told me he’d cancel my order and refund the money to my credit card. He asked for me credit card number. I double-checked to make sure my information would be destroyed after he credited my account. He confirmed that it would. My account was credited without any issue. Four solid stars for excellent customer service and helping me out after I’d made my mistake.

Poor customer service. Stay away from this place. Only had three types of bagels… no cinnamon crunch bagels… really. I’m a big fan of Panera Bread but not this location.

Today customer service was atrocious! I ordered 2 classic salads with chicken and boiled eggs… My mom was on the phone listening to me place the order in the drive through at the Matteson store… I get it SANS boiled egg AND the chicken! I drive to work and discover mine is wrong… called my mom and hers was wrong… SO I call back to let them know thinking they would make it right. MANAGERKRISTIN says it was NOT their fault but she would send me ONE voucher. I’m furious! Thank you Unilocal. I’ll go down the street!

There is a woman named Monica who works there and she is kind, funny, and very entertaining. I visit the Panera in Matteson, not only to see her smiling face, but to converse with a well-educated woman who makes all my dinners there enjoyable. She also makes a great smoothie too. I just don’t understand why she isn’t a manager considering she is so people-orientated and she treats everyone with dignity and respect. When I’m there, she makes me feel like a princess who is well-loved by her loyal worshippers! Three cheers for Monica!

I went to lunch with my boss today, he ordered the smoked turkey sandwich, while I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich. We waited not five minutes for our food and our food was delivered to our table. Great food and service, I’ll be back back for more.

Had lunch for the first time a few days ago here. Service was excellent. The staff was courteous and willing to take the time to explain some specials they were running. Food took about 10 minutes, which was ok considering how good it tasted. The over all place appears clean and men’s restroom also clean. Will be coming back in the near future.

The food was pretty good and typical of any other Panera but the service was kind of slow. I hate giving my name when restaurants ask for it(I value my privacy) so I usually just say my name is «Number 1» I herd the employees cracking jokes about me using that for my name. Not funny jokes, but it sounded like they were being condescending. And, yes, I understand the hipocracy of my name being in my Unilocal profile.

Business people galore. That’s a good thing, because the extra bodies help fight off the cold your body will suffer under their oppressive air conditioning! This seems to be a problem across the Panera family, lol. I like this location though.
