I rode by and saw that they are no longer in the retail space in Matthews Station. However, I have a friend that called the number to see if they were still baking cakes and they are. I think they are looking for new retail space, but in the interim, you can try calling to place a special order.

I participated in Jimmie Sweets’ poundcake challenge, and it was amazing. These folks know their pound cakes. I am not generally a pound cake fan, but Jimmie Sweets makes the bland church picnic classic into a whole new creature.
Everything is chewy and moist and good in the way the best bakeries are… It’s great to be able to walk into a bakery and buy one little item. Sometimes, I feel like the bakeries around here are geared towards mass-​production or big items like wedding cakes. It’s kind of nice to have an alternative to Dunkin’ Donuts if you just want one little thing…

These guys know what they are doing when it comes to baked goods. Everything is moist and very tasty, plus the presentation is beautiful. The only bad part is that if you catch them on the wrong day the selection is limited. There wasn’t very much to choose from when I last visited, but they have a lot to offer otherwise.
The décor of the place is really unique too. Bright blue and green is not a color combo you see everyday. The people are very courteous and helpful, and they even do special orders.

How do you choose? I did !!!
If you’re in the Matthews area stop by this place. the specialty here is the pound cake., They have a never ending list of flavors, which all come in small or large. Not all are always available when you walk into the store unless you make a custom order.
I’ve tried the Pina Colada *I swear I could of stuck a straw in that thing.
and the Coffee Amaretto* a new breakfast staple in the house with a cup of java.
The key lime flavor was sweet, but I like sweet. YUM
The zucchini bread was good .
They have cookies and brownies and, and, and (drool) Excuse me.
I’m going to order a two layer cake. They have Italian crème.
