Marco’s Pizza

Their pizza is the best I’ve found in the south Charlotte area but that’s really not too big of a compliment. Their is a lack of good pizza delivery places in and around Matthews.
Their pizza isn’t bad. I’ve ordered from other Marcos Pizza locations in Florida and it’s all about the same. It’s better that Dominos and the other chains.
Their customer service isn’t the best though.

Found this location via a Google search for pizza restaurants in Matthews. It’s a new restaraunt, at least new to me, and just a few minutes from our home. Perfect stop after church to pick up lunch. We ordered pizza and wings. The Greek flavored wings have a really great taste and the pizza is good. I would recommend a more even coverage of seasoning with the wings. The customer service is lacking here, so this may be a deal breaker for me. When you call in to place an order, they are not attentive in recognizing first time customers who may be unfamiliar with the menu. If you are not paying attention, you will purchase something more costly than purchasing one of the specials that you have to inquire about deeply. When arriving to pick up the to go order, you are told to get back in your car and go through the drive thru. Hmmmm didn’t care for that and again, the phone staff was not attentive in recognizing first time customers, as this is something that should have been mentioned while placing my order. After getting back into my car to drive to the drive thru window, I waited at the window for 2 minutes or so before anyone ever came to the window. Odd because I just walked out of the restaurant and was the only person in the drive thru. No menu included in the bag with your order. Missing opportunities for return customers. I’d say 3 stars because the pizza is at least good, but that service leaves much to be desired. We may try at a later date. Maybe service will improve.
