Op Nails

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON. I purchased a Groupon for my Mom. Her experience from beginning to end was absolutely terrible. She made and appointment for her and my sister since the groupon was for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures. They said the groupon must be used by the same person. She paid for my sister and was ok with that. She tried to book her 2^nd appointment before the expiration and they were booked solid for any groupon coupons except for 1 evening appointment. She called her work to change her schedule and called back to confirm with the salon. They said oh well that appointment is now full. They said we can make an appointment after the expiration and you will have to pay an extra $ 20. She told me about this and I called to speak to a manager. The manager was EXTREMELY RUDE and talked/​treated me like crap. He was unwilling to do anything to accommodate my Mom or extend the groupon. He said we can see her Wednesday morning and I said she has to work and already changed her schedule once. His response was well that is her problem isn’t it. Luckily I called and complained to groupon and they refunded me. Please do yourself a favor and never visit this salon.

So my first visit was awesome, and I thought I’d try it out again. Terrible. The girl who did my fill nicked me on 3 (yes three!) fingers while filing to shape my nails… that’s 3 bloody cuticles that I now hope won’t get infected, not to mention my manicure now looks horrible. The gel is very uneven and I’m super disappointed. Won’t be back for another try. :(

Got a mani/​pedi. Good job on polish but massage for hands and feet were very light and very short. That’s what I pay for in a mani/​pedi. Also she dropped my shoe on my toe before it was dry and didn’t fix the polish. So I wouldn’t go back.

I would highly recommend this place, I had my first mani pedi at this place and they use organic product!(not many place uses all natural products) It was a very pleasant visit, They take their time, and the people were very friendly. I will def be coming back.

Do not go to this business! They tell you one price then they try to tell you a second price when you get to the register. I had to call the police just to get them to charge the correct price! They are not honest people at all!

Had a deluxe pedicure and can’t explain how fabulous it was. So impressed with their quality, cleanliness, and attitude. I cannot wait to come here next time I’m in Matthews.

I called them last night to try and squeeze in a pedicure. It was very last minute on a busy Saturday night, and they were able to! The pedicure wasn’t rushed and the woman who helped me did a wonderful job! I have gel nails and I’ve gone to a different nail salon every time in search of MY salon, and I’m excited to try the gel nails at Op Nails this week! Very pleased. The inside is nicely decorated, and it doesn’t smell like acrylic, like most nail salons do!

I’ve been going here since I moved to Charlotte 15 years ago. I stopped a few years ago since it changed management but have been a regular since 2008. They treat me like VIP. I usually bring my own wine & get the full treatment. I always schedule appointments so I can get Lindsay or Katie. They are the BEST!!! I don’t let anyone else touch my nails & I can usually go 3 weeks before I need to revisit.

My experience here was ok. I am new to town and wanted to get my nails done on a holiday, fortunately they were open. However, like most nails shops like this they were trying to do too much at once. The gentleman who did my nails had no conversation for me, not sure if it was because he was so busy watching what everyone else was doing or because he was tending to his, approximately, 10 year old son. Either way I’m still on the hunt for a regular salon and would probably only go here in an emergency.
