Darn! My daughter is a student at U of T. We saw this restaurant last summer and it looked very interesting. We read the reviews and agreed to return for her birthday. Tonight was the big night. I reserved a room nearby and picked her up at UT. I whispered to the hostess that it was my daughter’s birthday hoping she would relay the info to our server. Instead she wished my daughter a happy one and walked away. Our order was taken and promptly delivered. Our steaks were delicious but the onion straws were stone cold. Our server got a large table and no one walked by through our whole meal. We were offered dessert, but we were both ready to leave by then. Outback, here we come!

Holy cow is this place expensive for what you get. $ 9.00 Mac and cheese. Oh Truffle Mac n cheese. My $ 0.35 Kraft with a little cream added tastes better! And my friend had the wedge salad. $ 10 and it was crisp but tiny and blue cheese may have come from the cement factory across the street. Add to it my tuna roll which seemed fresh and tasty but cut so large I had to gag every time I attempted to eat one. Our server in the bar area was attentive and nice but failed to automatically keep the drinks filled. The bread was unique and fresh. I will pAss on this place next time I am in town. There are plenty of options nearby. $ 55 for two below average lunches. Bad choice.

I was in Maumee for a work meeting, and we dropped in for lunch. The service was top notch, and the food was even better. I told our Partner that I’d be visiting more often, simply for the sake of coming back to Mancy’s!

One of our favorite places to eat. Good steaks and seafood. Valentine’s Day(actually day before– Saturday), packed house. Made reservations two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we got seated at a table right next to the bar, right off the aisle, chairs were not made for sitting at a table to eat dinner. Nonetheless, service was very good, steaks extraordinary, dessert very nice. BTW, the salmon is excellent. Next time, I’ll wait a few days afterward so seating is better, more intimate, and so my chin isn’t even with the tabletop — just a slight exaggeration, but it was not the most comfortable dinner I have ever had at this restaurant.

Great food. Really great seafood. I got the bourbon salmon. It came with a side of coleslaw and ravioli stuffed with I think squash. Food was awesome. I also got the crane cakes for an appetizer. It only came with two on a plate. Place was really full we waited 45 minutes even though we had reservations… There’s a bar to wait at till you get your table. Staff was really nice and patient. Nice place.

Overpriced. Food not worth what you pay. Steak was charred and had little taste. You are paying for an atmosphere, but the atmosphere is lackluster. Avoid this place. Go across the parking lot to Arby’s for a better meal.

The atmosphere was nice, but the fish was bland. I had Mahi, and my Girlfriend had grouper, and both were just ok. The fish was cooked well, just no flavor.

I yearn for half stars. It’s really more of a 3.5. I know it’s absurd to give a seafood restaurant in the middle if the country a hard time but when you have a section called«simply grilled» on the menu, a person would assume that it’s legitimately a plain grilled piece of fish. If for instance, you boast a «simply grilled salmon», it should be grilled with salt and pepper and served with a lemon wedge. I get that restaurants that don’t feature fish rarely offer«simple» fish, but when you boast it and offer a whole section and then pour a heavy butter sauce over your«simply grilled salmon», it’s a giant red flag that your fish isn’t fresh and you are covering it up. A good piece of fish should stand on it’s own. A good seafood restaurant should know that fish can and does stand on it’s own. I don’t like butter sauce with my fish, that entire idea is gross. The thing that made me crazy was that there was a saucey, crusted salmon in another section of the menu for people that want crap put on their fish, so why can’t the«simply grilled» section be for plain fish? When I saw that the dish had a butter sauce I seriously assumed it was on the side because I mean, the title if the menu section!!! Once I went to a red lobster under protest and they served a piece of salmon plain with salt pepper and a lemon wedge. As a nice seafood restaurant you can not alow a REDLOBSTER to best you. It’s illegal. All that said, the dish was saved even if it was overly butterey and masked the taste of the salmon, by the green beans and mashed potatoes. I enjoyed the cole slaw too.

Unbelievable service and food, as always, was excellent. Had a guest in from out of town(Houston) and it was his first experience at a Mancy’s restaurant. Couldn’t have asked for a better ‘first’ for him as he truly enjoyed the ambiance, the courteous wait staff and the food was magnificent!

We needed to drive from Chicago to the East Coast and pulled off 95 in Maumee(never heard of it). Luckily we were directed by the front desk staff at the Marriott to Mancy’s Bluewater Grill. What a terrific place. We were greeted warmly and directed to the bar area to wait while our table was being set. BWG is a lovely restaurant with well decorated indoor spaces, well spaced tables, a beautiful bar area and ample outdoor seating. Our drink order was taken immediately and then we were escorted to a lovely table. Warm rolls and butter arrived quickly as dis our friendly and professional server named Victoria. I knew we were in for a fine evening. Drinks were excellent as were the Caesar salads which accompanied our dinners. The salads were decorated with extra anchovies just like we ordered. I had the stuffed shrimp as my main course. This dish, while it sounds simple to prepare, is actually challenging for many restaurants, but not BWG. They were excellent, as were the mashed potatoes. My wife’s strip steak with bernaise sauce was done perfectly. The baked potato was huge and delicious. Our main courses were excellent. Then came the key lime pie which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Let’s say that Mancy’s BWG is terrific for a fine dining experience in a lovely setting with fair prices.

Nine adults and a baby were seated. My meal was a Delmonico steak preceded by a salad. The mixed green salad with blue cheese dressing was very good. The steak came with caramelized, crisped onion strings, and a very large baked potato. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, very tender, and delicious. Our server was attentive and did an excellent job. My only disappointment is that we live too far away to go to Mancy’s on a regular basis. If we were closer, we could easily make it our«go to» steak place.

Good size bar to eat and drink at. I had the red and golden beet salad with salmon, this was very good and fresh. They are mainly known for seafood, but they have other options.

I tend to be a pretty healthy eater. This wouldn’t be my typical first choice, but this was a customer dinner. Overall I was very satisfied with everything. Service was great, our waitress was very polite, knowledgable and helpful. Apps: Beef Carpocio; amazing. Great fried capers added such a nice texture to the thinly sliced beef. Calamari; perfectly fried and great sauce drizzled over them. Buffalo Shrimp; nice size shrimp, spicy and a really cool addition were the pickled carrots on the bottom, very cool. Bread: really nice herby bread. Soup: I had the Manhattan clam. Great flavor, with a bit of a kick. Nice pieces of clam in the soup. Dinner: I got the scallops from the grill, sauce on the side. Subed the mash potatoes for steamed asparagus. Everything was cool very well. Having everything pretty plane actually really tasted great. I squeezed some lemon over my veggies & scallops, they tasted so good! And it was not too heavy, which is what I wanted, for having a late meal. For the salad I had the vinegar cole slaw. Really tasty, maybe a beet or something in it. Desert: I had the cheesecake. Lovely taste, texture was very dense and creamy.

We went here for dinner on Valentine’s Day and it was a prix fixe situation($ 50 each for appetizer, salad and entrée). I ordered the oysters on the half shell, Caesar salad with anchovies, and the ahi tuna steak cooked rare. Everything exceeded my expectations. Service was great, food came out in a timely manner and my fish was cooked perfectly. We had a great time here and will definitely be back!

My friend’s maple bourbon pecan wood-grilled salmon and butternut squash ravioli was so memorable, I have to figure out how to make it at home. My wood-grilled New Bedford scallops had the texture and rich depth of the scallops I remember eating in full view of New Bedford scallop boats. As much a treat now as it was 3 years ago when I was last in Maumee.

Upscale, and they do it well. Had oysters on the half shell calamari and blackened whitefish for entrée. Service was good. Atmosphere was great, food was great. Expect to pay more and get more. Most entrees are $ 20 and up. Mixed drinks were good, beer selection decent. Good place to take a date to impress or a business client. Use discretion with kids; to respect others.

What a wonderful surprise this place was. I’ll be honest, I am not Mancy kind of girl. The restaurants are always busy, over-hyped and pretentious. Paying out the nose for tiny pieces of steak just isn’t my thing. We had a 6:30 reservation for our 10th anniversary, and came with friends, one of whom was 8 months pregnant. It was busy and festive. Though we arrived on the dot. we still had to wait for a table, so we found seats at the bar and relaxed into a few drinks. I was surprised at how comfortable and lovely it was. I usually hate being tossed to the bar but it felt warm and the bartenders were nice. 40 minutes later, our table. That was a pretty long wait for someone who had a reservation. The bar was nice, but not 40 minutes on our special day nice. But I’ll tell you, the second we sat down, the manager appeared with two huge plates of appetizers on the house to make up for it! It was such a wonderful surprise, and all the angst I was feeling just melted away. It’s one thing to strive to accommodate after someone complains, but to just do it on your own without being asked or told? Awesome. Appetizers were great: the Peking calamari was perfect. The Ahi Tuna tartar was THEBEST, and the crab cake was okay. Also the maple Dijon salad dressing? Perfection and made in house. Dinner was also wonderful. I had the stuffed shrimp, and it was cooked wonderfully. The stuffing was the crab cake, which was just a touch too sweet for me, but hard to complain about. I was just so happy the shrimp was large enough to be a meal, because you only got 5. Overall, I’ll be back. With a reservation. And a flexible sitter who doesn’t mind having to stay late to accommodate.
