I am glad I went to this place last week as it has now closed. They had some of the best mac and cheese I have had anyplace. Sandwiches were always spot on. My last sandwich at this place was a wheat bread with Basil pesto, smoked gouda, tomato, fresh onion, pickle sandwich. I will miss this place.

Got the tom+chee with a side of Mac and cheese and put the Mac and cheese on it while eating it. The cost of that was around $ 9. Mac and cheese could’ve been a little more flavorful, but besides that it really hit the spot. Food came out pretty quickly and was about 30 – 45 minutes. Great for a quick satisfying bite to eat!

Delicious grilled cheese and savory soups! Don’t come here if you plan on eating healthy. This is a place to stuff your face with ooey gooey fattening goodness like sandwiches made with donuts in place of bread. The service was good, and the owner was very friendly. Price is a little high for grilled cheese, but the experience is unique.

Not going to lie, the only reason we came here is because it was on shark tank. I really don’t care for chain restaurants but my wife gets to pick once in awhile. I had the BLT and basil tomato soup and it was great! But wait. There’s more… The donut called the Berry White(donut with raspberries and white chocolate deliciousness) was crazy good. Holy shit I might have to go back again tonight. It is shark week after all.(Sorry, cheesy.)(oops, did it again).

Hmmm… it’s okay. Personally, I prefer Paddy Jacks in Toledo. It was pricey for what you get…$ 25 for two sandwiches, 2 cups of classic tomato soup and 2 small drinks. I had the plain grilled cheese with garlic rub on the bread. He had the Italian, which had an interesting texture with the potato chips on the sandwich. The classic tomato soup left something to be desired. I’d actually prefer Campbell’s, but to each his own. Don’t expect to be wowed here. It’s an interesting concept, but not executed as best as I can be.

This may sound harsh, but save yourself $ 15 and go to your local grocery for some bread, American cheese, and a can of Campbell’s tomato soup then by doing so you will then have found the remedy to buying overpriced and not so impressive food.

The normal grilled cheeses were good, not great. The atmosphere was fun but all things it was a little overpriced for the typical grilled cheese. The High point was the donut grilled cheese’s they were yummy and unique. We will probably be back but won’t necessarily be a staple of ours.

I’d heard a lot of positive reviews about this place but I don’t really care for it. I did like the fairly large selection of toppings they had and I decided to do a build my own since I didn’t see the combo I wanted on the menu. I also got a dipping side of tomato soup. I only got a few toppings and the sandwich alone came out to about $ 10 which is way too expensive for a grilled cheese with a few ordinary toppings. On top of that, the sandwich was extremely greasy… My hands were covered. It also had no flavor, not even the cheese had flavor. It seemed as though they did not use any seasoning. The tomato soup was kind of sour but I finished it because I was hungry. I’m not too familiar with what good tomato soup should taste like but I’d take Campbell’s over this one. I will probably never come back. At least the staff were nice

Great idea, food was good, the service was terrible. It seemed the employees were so slow and layed back, it seemed they really didn’t care.

Not impressed. Wont be back. For grilled cheese restaurant they make the worst grilled cheese. Barely any cheese on the sandwich and not melted. Could be a great place. The idea is great. grilled cheeses and tomato soup. Soup tasted like a metallic can. I got onions on my so xalled grilled cheese. Lots of onions. Minimal cheese

I was excited to go here and the mac and cheese grilled cheese ruled though the soup was average. I wouldn’t make a point of eating here but I enjoyed it more than I would fast food.

Portions are small for the price, but the doughnut dessert sandwiches were really tasty. Unfortunately, after two people in our party had a taste, there wasn’t much left. Again, need to size up!

Upon arrival there was another couple ahead of us studying the menu. They volunteered that this was their first time there, and we said us too. The girl at the register looked bored and offered no advice on navigating the menu or offered information on ingredients, or suggestions, which would have been helpful. I was impressed by the creativity of the grilled cheese sandwich combinations offered. I got the crunchy garlic chicken which was very good but not as filling as you would expect for $ 7. Also I wouldn’t describe the sandwich itself as a «grilled cheese», but more a chicken/onion/tomato sandwich with cheese. My girlfriend had the Flying Pig, which, while good, had just one thin slice of gouda. More of a turkey sandwich with cheese as opposed to the grilled cheese she was expecting. We both would suggest more cheese, possibly with different cheese combinations(havarti and American combo would be awesome). The bread on both of our sandwiches was great and grilled to perfection. Lastly the restaurant atmosphere is not terribly comfortable, although typical for quick serve restaurants like this.

Stopped in for a nice quick lunch today, as I have been wanting to check this place out, but there is not really one very close to me. My girlfriend is a big grilled cheese fan, and I am a fan of places offering vegan options of any sorts, so it seemed like a good middle ground place for us to check out. First off, the ordering process was fairly simple, although it could take a bit of time. I don’t think they had them available, but cards you could just circle options on the build your own would probably come in handy. Our price was fairly staggering for what we had ordered actually, one build your own, a menu’d grilled cheese, a chips, a drink, and a cup of soup ran about 20 dollars. My build your own had vegan cheese, mushrooms, garlic hummous, potato chips, pickles, and cucumbers. I thought this sandwich was pretty decent, although next time id either get the hummous or chips as the combo leads to soggy chips by the end. The chunky tomato soup was the soup I chose, and it was decent flavor-wise, but in all I feel I should have gotten more for the 11ish dollars that were spent on everything. My girlfriend had the mac and cheese grilled cheese. I thought for sure she would think this was the best sandwich shed ever had, as those are like, two of her favorite things, but in the end she thought it was good, but said she has had better grilled cheese for cheaper at Panera. All in all, If I were to try this place again, I would probably order slightly differently, and maybe we would split a bowl of soup or something. It’s not a place I would seek out, but it wasn’t a huge letdown either. The grilled cheese doughnuts are probably the main draw here and she will likely try one of these next time. Service was fine, decently quick, and the interior was very clean and well suited for the type of establishment that it is.

I love this place and was so excited to hear one opened closer to me! The staff was very friendly and the girl talking our order suggested we get half sandwiches because we were having trouble deciding. It was perfect. My sandwiches were perfectly toasted and tasted great. After we were done eating the sandwich chef came around with a huge tray of watermelon and offered some to all of the customers. Just because«it was the holiday»(Memorial Day). I’ll definitely be back and I’ll be trying the dessert options!

My friends were excited to try Tom & Chee’s because they’re big Shark Tank fans. I never watched the show so I had no idea what to expect. For those of you who don’t know, Tom & Chee’s serves grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soups. They’re known for their grilled cheese donut which is a glazed donut grilled with cheese– good for those who like the salty sweet combo. It’s cafeteria style where you order at the counter and then seat yourself and bus your table at the end. As for food, the creamy basil soup was delish and the Armagetta was pretty good. The Mac & cheese was a little bland though. The portions aren’t the biggest and the meal isn’t the cheapest considering you’re paying for a grilled cheese sandwich and have to buy everything a la cart. For example, if you get the Armagetta and cup of soup, it’ll cost you around $ 12 which is a lot if you’re still hungry at the end.(My friends were all still hungry after eating one sandwich and soup.) Overall, the food is pretty good and kudos for originality but I only give 4 stars because the cost vs portions ratio. For the cost, everyone should come out feeling full and satisfied.

Apart from creating your own grilled cheese by choosing a bread and type of cheese, all the«fancy» sandwiches seemed rather gross, like a bunch of junk thrown together. And just looking at the menu made me gain 10 pounds. This is not the place to go if you care about being healthy. I had the mushroom and swiss with grilled onions and it was just so-so. My husband had the bacon and bleu cheese sandwich and said it was good but not great. The bagged potatoe chips were so bland and tasted like oil. One sandwich here is probably the equivalent of a full days worth of calories and I left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. If I’m going to splurge and eat that many calories in one sitting, I’d rather just go down the street to Five Guys where the food is worth it.

Great experience! Got the BBQ and Bacon grilled cheese. Holy hell it was good. BBQ chips crumbled on a Bacon grilled cheese. Totes yummy. Will be going back! Can’t wait to try the donut grilled cheese!

Went here for dinner last night(first official day they were open), and it was super busy, but the service was very quick and very friendly. My dining partner was happy to see vegan cheese and said it was the best vegan grilled cheese ever(also added a lot of veggies, etc.) I tried«the King», which is banana, peanut butter marscapone, and mozzarella on a grilled donut. I was nervous about it, but it was AWESOME. Would definitely eat that again. I also tried the chunky tomato basil soup, which was good. All in all, a positive and pleasant experience!
