My food was meh, the setting was eh… not what I was expecting or would have liked. Spinach dip app was served with tortilla chips… okay but not great by any means. Hamburger was so thick I couldn’t eat it comfortably, I ate half… My boy seemed to like his oyster Po-boy and they were nice enough to sub in a salad for the fries. The prices were way too expensive for the atmosphere… I ended up pitching the other half of my burger when I got home… This was a once in lifetime experience… only once.

The swamp Pop is very close to my house, therefore convenient. Me and my family have been here twice, both times very disappointing. The food is just awful, the last time I ordered a dozen fried oysters. They where very small, when I removed the batter to my surprise all the oysters had been cut in half to make them go further. Deco outdated and tacky. Seems as if they only care about the bar.

Always consistent. Fried shrimp are excellent. And the rabbit sauce piquant. The thing about swamp pop is that the owner is always in here.

We started with crawfish pies. Excellent sauce. I ordered The Captain Landry. Wow! Great presentation of a tower of fried catfish over fried fresh shrimp, rice, all smothered in a delicious crawfish étouffée. OMG, it was outstanding. I sopped up the sauce with the slice of garlic toast that comes with it. My Wife had seafood pasta & cleaned her plate as well. For desert you gotta have their peach cobbler with pecan crumble & vanilla ice cream. It is the bomb! The service was excellent too. We will be back for certain.
