Poor, poor customer service. If you are just looking to shop or know what you want then this Macy’s is mediocre as far as selection, but if you need to make returns or need other customer service help you should definitely go to a different location. One day I went in for a sale and there was only one woman, on a Friday, that was running back and forth to get sizes for shoppers. Obviously, this service took a long time. She was also ringing people up so she wasn’t very accessible. A week or two later I went back to return a pair of boots I had admittedly worn but that were very poor quality and squeak when I walk. Not only did the saleswoman give me a hard time about returning, and ultimately wouldn’t let me return them, but she was rude on top of that. She asked me what took so long to bring them in(it was less than sixty days), told me I bought them all the way back at Christmas and hadn’t made it in(I got them around New Years and went in the store mid February), and accused me of being in the store the day before to return a different pair of boots(I wasn’t, but even if I had been it shouldn’t matter). She wouldn’t let me return the boots because when I originally bought them I exchanged sizes and I had the original receipt but not the exchange receipt. While I understand, I have made returns numerous times at other Macy’s with no receipt at all. This woman was rude and refused to offer me help while being very accusatory. She didn’t offer to look up the purchase or Macy’s account and didn’t offer me store credit, which was all I was looking for anyway. Next time I need to make any return I won’t be going to this Macy’s.

It’s a department store folks — in a mall that is giving a decent effort to invest in a shopping environment that is losing more appeal to the modern society on a daily basis. Today’s visit to Macy’s was a quick flyby to stretch our legs and recover from the 4 hr episode at the car dealership with a cup of coffee in hand(don’t ask). We were helped on the third floor in housewares by Kathy — nice & polite with a smile throughout the exchange. Clean store — nice setup — friendly staff.

«Meh» is probably the best way to sum up this Macy’s… This is the Macy’s I grew up with. It is adjoined to the Hamilton Mall. It is in a convenient location, on the Black Horse Pike right off of the Expressway. There are several entrances and large parking lots at each one. The honeymoon sort of ends there. I always thought Macy’s was a step up from Marshall’s, again, because this was the only Macy’s I had been to. It wasn’t until after I lived in San Francisco and Los Angeles that I realized that Macy’s is actually a pretty nice store. The selection here is always one extreme or the other… Dull grandma clothes, or flashy teenage clothes. The carpet skeeves me out. The staff could care less about you. The fitting rooms are always a hot mess. If you NEED a Macy’s for whatever reason, I’d suggest riding into Philly.
