This is a computer supermarket where you will find everything you need for your computer and then some. It is great for the hobbyiest who needs individual computer parts or hard-to-find adapters. Unfortunately, this place can also be a zoo with some of the worst customer service you will find. Their 18Minute-Online-pickup is a joke. On one occasion, they could not find the held items. On another, I stood 1st in line and waited and waited while cashiers were just standing there with no customers. The manager was just standing there ignoring me and doing paperwork. I finally left and ordered the same items on Amazon for about the same price. Often times store employees are unavailable when you need to find out where they stock things – did I say this was a supermarket? My recommendation is to use Microcenter only if absolutely needed and you can’t wait.

Frankly, I am disappointed! Just last week I brought in my desktop computer for repair after its motherboard was damaged due to overheating. Doug– the technician did a good job diagnosing and replacing the motherboard. I was charged total $ 130 just for service(plus the actual motherboard was around $ 59), which was okay until I found that they had NOT even bothered to clean the fan and dust from inside my PC which in turn had caused it to overheat! I mean any amateur would know this! Guess what now my PC is overheating and shutting down intermittently despite a three day old motherboard. Dust is still visible clogging the fan! This was despite my repeated requests that just replacing the motherboard is not okay until we correct the root cause of heating. I have cleaned it myself now and hope this works. I am sorry but I am disappointed.

I love this place I purchased my laptop from there I got the two year warranty and three year virus protection and the helped me get all the programs I needed to record and edit music they also send emails about things on sale and all that they are very helpful and they have great customer service

I went here with a plan to build my own computer. I left with the parts to build a better computer for ~$ 150 less. I did my own research to build a computer and consulted a friend on which parts are choice. We pored over the Micro Center add and picked the comparable parts that gave us the best bang for the buck. I went to the store and picked out the parts and went to check out and a clerk noticed that the liquid cooling fan I selected would not fit the case I selected. He then walked through the store with me upgrading all of my components for less money with the detailed knowledge that only a true computer guy possess. I am writing this review on my super sleek machine and will return to build another computing beast in the future.

MicroCenter is Geek heaven. Truly if you are a techno geek like lost of my family and friends then this is your go to for reasonably priced parts as well as fully built computers or laptops. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and while they do help you they are — for the most part– not pushy. I cannot stand trying to shop and being hawked like I am on a used car lot. I have only had that feeling once in here in the four years we have been coming here.

I bought a tablet at Microcenter last week. The sales person was helpful and the store is fairly well organized. Somehow, however, the store seems old to me. I’m not sure how they could upgrade the appearance but it needs something. The good news is that the tablet works well and I would buy it again. Check out the store sometime –it is different than Best Buy.

Oh man. I wish I had the same experience as George S. Finding knowledgeable staff here. My experience tonight sucked. Not a complex request, but I got some very elusive description in how to connect a vga adapter and explain how it works with two led monitors. Booooooo.

I am not sure how or why anyone would ever purchase computer gear, and all that includes as well as TV’s from anyplace else. They have them or they can build. The prices run from…‘you have to be kidding me; really that cheap’ to ‘it is still cheaper then BB’. The only down side I have experienced, and it is not every time, is the lack of knowledge from some of the staff. They usually find someone that can help, but some of them are really lost. But, if you know what you want, go and get it.

I’ve been coming here for years, and let me say, knowledgeable staff, a variety of products for the novice AND the tech-savvy builder. Good, competitive prices and a good locations. I ALWAYS come here first for my computer needs. Also, the have a good tech support staff and even items for smartphones. MicroCenter IS my center for computer… EVERYTHING:)

On Friday, I brought in my laptop since the mouse track pad isn’t working. They were fine on that day, and helped me out. I left my laptop there for diagnosis/repairs. Then, on Saturday I get a call letting me know they have started repairs on my laptop — good, great, they are keeping me in the know. Flash forward FIVEDAYS. I have gotten no calls or updates. So I call in myself. No big deal, since I am sure they are constantly swamped. But then… they put me on hold for 15+ minutes ANDHANGUP. I’m not kidding, call just dropped. The first time I thought I might have done something. The second time I went to a place in my house with better reception. The third time I got upset. And now, the fourth time, I’m just about ready to call their cooperate offices… Too long? In person customer service is fine. Phone customer service is stupid.
