We come here at least once a week. Food is consistently good. Every chef has their own style… Some better then others. The food is always good. The sushi is not as good as ginza up the road. This is our usual Friday night spot. Much better then Bennihanna… If you’re looking for decent sushi and great hibachi. This is the place

place is very pricey and ashame you leave the establishment still hungry our first time there and our first impression wasn’t a good one we paid for xtra rice and the cook split our rice with the whole table which wasn’t right the xtra rice should have went to the person who paid for the rice(shouldnt have been split with the whole table) very uncomfortable the way the set up was

I’ve dined at Sakura several times with my wife who I introduced to the habachi grill and seeing huge excitement in her eyes during the show by the chef and the dining sensation was the selling point to become a regular patron. Sushi is my happy addiction and my choice goes beyond salmon & tuna. My travels in the military allowed me to experience varieties of Jems from the sea I have found difficult finding in North America, so when my wife called ahead to see if uni was available, she cheerfully informed me they have live Uni. Upon our arrival, we had a short wait to fill a table at the grill, orders promptly taken for the chef, miso & salads and I usually Ala carte sushi & sashimi, I also placed an order for the live urchin, and the hostess went out of her way to explain how fresh it was because it’s alive & moving(Uni is sea urchin) sooooo when it was presented with a dramatic presentation, it was DOA dead! and insulting with an explanation when it’s cut open it dies, yes but my observation & experience it will live over an hour, this was obviously used for a previous patron, and assumed by my appearance I’d be clueless to anything beyond fried rice, so she laughed and bowed a dozen times in a poor theatrical version of an apologetic Geisha, that only served to be more insulting, but not too ruin my wife’s evening who was thoughtful in searching out Uni for me, I bit my tongue refused this expired pincushion of insult, and surprising consoled by my fellow dinners who also heard of the live urchin and felt it was no accident sent to me long dead from previous patrons who enjoyed it alive.

The food here is really good! We got the 10 rolls for $ 65 special(chef’s choice) and for a party of 5 we almost didn’t finish. The calamari was delicious as well as the lobster sushi roll(I forgot it’s name). Abby, our server, is so friendly and accommodating. She always came by with a smile on her face and never was our water glasses empty. For dessert my party and I had the green tea mochi and the mango mochi; both were yummy.

Sakura is always a great experience. One of the best hibachi places in south Jersey. The chefs are always fun and quirky, which makes the experience more enjoyable. The food is above average at best and the sushi is also good. This is a wonderful choice if you plan on coming with family or a group of friends. Hopefully they will open one up in Philly!

It was overall a delightful show with wonderful service. I really loved our chefs manner, extremely polite and playful. Very skilled with a spatula and knife! Although the food was a bit salty it was still a great meal that I was completely full from– I wished I had been able to eat it all. Hubby loved his sushi platter and rolls.

My friend brought our group of friend and I here for lunch when we came to visit her this past weekend and the food was delicious! We were not feeling hibachi at the time, so we had sushi instead. The sushi were amazing. My other friends and I could not stop raving about it and said we will definitely come back for more. Next time, I will like to try the hibachi. We ordered a bunch of special rolls and they were all so delicious. I wish I knew the name to some of the rolls, but I couldn’t remember. Our server was super nice and checked up on us once in a while to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. For desserts, we had mochi and they were GREAT! There are three per order, so we got a few to share. We tried the green tea, strawberry, and mango flavors. They all tasted so delicious; my favorites were the strawberry and green tea. There were more flavors and I wanted to try them all, but I was too full from the amazing sushi already. You should definitely try the mochi for desserts though! Overall, I had a great time and experience eating at this restaurant! :) FYI, I heard you get a free cheesecake if it was your birthday ;)

Awesome place. Great service. My sisters and I took my mom for her birthday. We all enjoyed the food and experience. From the soup through to the fried rice and teriyaki chicken. All good! We can’t wait to go back.

Today i went there for mothers day and the food was horrible. The drenched the rice and food is soy sause, so the food was really salty. Also, the chicken was really dry. The only thing that was good there was the mushrooms. However, the cook was funny and entertaining. I would probably go back and try the sushi. Hopefully when i do the experience will be better

What a fabulous night! We went to Sakura for dinner one evening with our cousins and boy was it a feast. Soup is good, salad is good, atmosphere is very classy. The food in my opinion is fantastic. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious like everything else and the show is amusing. I love when they shoot the steak/shrimp into your mouth from the knife. Finally caught it this time. My brother loves the part when the chef makes the train smoke stack out of onions. If your looking for a place with spunk rather than going to your traditional Japanese or Chinese restaurant, Sakura is the place. Left feeling stuffed. Great night!

SODELICIOUS. Hibachi is great and chefs have a good sense of humor. There are lunch prices which is worth it and dinner is kinda pricy, but definitely good for a dinner night out! Yum yum sauce is good with everything and all sushi is amazing.

Some of the best hibachi and sushi around. I good experience I have been here over a dozen times. At the hibachi bar the chef flips the meat or shrimp into your mouth which kind of neat if your into that. Along with song fancy spatula work these cooks are true chefs. And the sushi is one of the best I have had.

Entertainment and great food, I love this place! Food is prepared right in front of you and served as he finishes each part. The bill is never small but always worth it and I always have leftovers for the next day. They have some fancy drinks that are delicious and a sushi bar as well.

First, I want to note that this could have been a 5-star review, had they any common sense. I asked lots of questions, and indicated dietary restrictions. I ordered Salmon with very little oil, as I am on a strict diet. Things were absolutely perfect, that is, until our chef dumped no less than a cup of mysterious sugar sauce on my fish and put it on my plate, rendering it a total loss. I scraped off what I could. The fish was perfectly cooked. Just a big disappointment, considering the price. I might have made them redo the dish, had I not been in a birthday dinner party.

This is probably the only good sushi restaurants around EHT/Galloway area. Choices around here are limited. There’s usually a wait if you come here for dinner on a weekend. Their hibachi is definitely top notch at this restaurant. They give you a good size portion as the price reflects on it a little bit. The chicken taste very good and the steak is usually cooked to your taste(most hibachi restaurants overcook their steak). I recommend their special sushi rolls, very tasty! This is usually where I go when I crave sushi/hibachi.

Sakura is my favorite place for sushi. I dine in the sushi section where its quieter and the waitresses never rush you so you can really relax and savor your meal. The sushi is always fresh and the presentation is impeccable. It’s simply delicious. Highly recommend.

I love going to Sakura! This was one of the restaurants I went to for my Mother’s Day weekend. The food was great and the show was good and that is because I got a good chef. I gave it four stars because this isn’t the first time I’ve been here. It is a place i will always go back to, but some chefs are way better than others, and i don’t like when I get a chef that doesn’t put enough butter or seasoning and doesn’t talk.

Sakura has always been an awesome sushi-bar experience. This place is decorated beautifully and is large and well-suited for huge events. I would even consider having a massive party in a place like this with it’s easy location and great parking, as well as incredible service and beautiful bar(great drinks too). This place is one of the few hibachi/sushi places offshore that has a full bar. I love that the sushi area is uniquely isolated from the hibachi/steak part of the restaurant… the layout of the place is fantastic. Hosts are always prompt and eager. The check-off list style of ordering can be fun too if you feel like it. I used to come here after work when I worked daytime hours all the time for the yummy roll. This shrimp tempura style roll features a big slab of spicy crab stick salad right on top(which can make it messy to eat) but is still an incredible explosion of flavor and makes a beautiful, striking presence on your plate. The chefs here are wonderful and everything is up-close and personal without it feeling claustrophobic. I remember to tip accordingly… awesome waiter/awesome bartender/awesome sushi chef. The presentation is nice and I really recommend this place if you’re into ornate, fancy, stylish sushi.

07÷24÷10 Again, my sister couldn’t wait to take me to their favorite sushi place in the area. They haven’t been back in ages since they stopped going a few months ago… Previously, they came so often(two or three times a week), that they didn’t even need to place an order– as soon as they walked in the door, a pot of their favorite tea would be brewing and the sushi chefs would already be preparing their sushi before they even sat down! They needed a break, but when plans of my arrival had finalized, she’d already had Sakura’s siren calling out her name… They’d ordered a sushi boat, and, after much thought, I decided to have the kani salad(which sis said I HAD to try!) to start and a sashimi appetizer for my main. I found it funny that the chefs thought I hadn’t ordered enough, but in the end, these two dishes were satisfactory. Before I forget, the ambience at the sushi counter was nice. It’s always fun to watch the chefs slice the fish and roll out your sushi dishes, and most of them are happy to chat w/you about anything! Except the chefs here :(Ah, well. It’s still fun to watch them work. If I were you, I’d ask to be seated here each and every time. Unless, of course, you’re here for the hibachi. Me? Japanese equals sushi/sashimi. I’ve tried the hibachi/teppanyaki at a few places, and I say, why even bother?(However, should you ever find yourself at a hibachi restaurant INTHEPHILIPPINES, do go and try! You want a show w/your food, you will definitely get one!) The kani salad was spectacular! Ever the crunch-meister, I so loved everything in this salad, and to think that the main protein here was imitation crab! This dish consisted of imitation crab sticks shredded, and then tossed w/toasted panko bread crumbs and sliced spring onions, sprinkled w/toasted sesame seeds and topped w/roe. Oh my freaking deity! I’d have been happy to order another serving and call it a great lunch! However, I couldn’t, because I’d already placed my order of sashimi. Wished I’d known that the sashimi wouldn’t be very fresh, and why substitute imitation crab for the halibut I couldn’t have? I’d much preferred more salmon or even tuna! For dessert, we were given complimentary pieces(one per person) of mochi. It’s OK, nothing to write about. Come and order the kani salad. Order two, and a pot of tea, and thank me later!
