PLEASE READ: The tastiest food I’ve ever had by far. Everything here is so good! I highly recommend the Clam Chowder, Copitas, and the fish tacos. Aside for seafood being the main focus, it also has a good variety and non seafood dishes like Tortas, burritos, chicken strips, and birria. Aside from the fact that everything is delicious, it’s also very affordable, not like other restaurants. They have specials Monday — Friday’s which are great. If you come into this restaurant and see it fairly busy, just know that the wait may/​will be long but only because they’re not like other restaurants that just reheat the food before giving it to you in less than a couple minutes, they actually start cooking your food the minute you order, making it fresher and tastier! Like for me, I hate ordering fish or shrimp soups from restaurants because they leave it on the stove all day and since it has carrots it sweetens the soup making it discussing to me. Here, I don’t get that and the spices in the soup are AMAZING. I could go on but overall this place is just the best in every way please stop by if you get the chance you won’t regret it.

I highly suggest the ceviche of shrimp.
It’s is the best ever.

Four stars because their food is Perfect. The portions are good for a person and the seasonings and all is good for being in Bell. They also have daily special deals which is locally known for.
MINUS ONE star, because of their sneaky way of trying to make more money. Below their counter it says no outside beverages or along those lines. Well thats strange isn’t it? YES it is, why because if they didn’t have a problem with customers bringing their own beverages they wouldn’t have put that sign. So why do you think customers brought their own drinks –_​– well yes because This restraunt wants to profit from their drinks. Which makes total sense. HOWEVER when they OVERPRICE and subtley try to rip of their customers I believe that is morally wrong. I get it is a business but this place is not a chain or atleast believe it’s not. This is such a petpeeve, sorry for the rant but people should realize this before they start increasing other things not only in this restaurant but in any restaurant. People should become aware of these tricks.

Still excellent, fresh, geat priced Mexican food with Cuban accent. LOVE the daily specials and the soups. I just wish they had red or black beans instead of boring pinto.

Fresh fish. Friendly service. The will fry any fish you pick on the spot. The prices are fair. Can’t go wrong

Amazing food ant incredible prices. You can eat great fresh seafood everyday for under $ 6. great ambiance, very casual and a good place to enjoy a bear with your meal on a hot day. The Mojarra and Sworfish are divine.

I thought I had seen bad customer service. Then I came here. I asked for red snapper fried, the lady said We do not fry on Tuesday. But yet you are frying talapia? I asked her why? Because it’s only talapia day. I asked why can’t you just put the on the same frier it’s fish and with the same spices. She looked at like I was crazy. She said can’t you see it’s only tilapia day. I said thank you and just walked out.

Dont judge a book by its cover is what you should think when you walk in cause the food is really good. It’s a long wait to get your food though but worth it, everything tastes fresh!

This place has amazing daily specials. My co-​workers and I usually order the Fish Tacos on Thursdays. It’s 2 HUGE tacos for 2.99. Best in my area and they are ready for pick up. I have also tried the deep fried filet on Fridays and the coctel de camarones on Monday and those were awesome too.

love this place! Fresh and inexpensive seafood! you need to try their King Kong consome soup! I can have one everyday. the service at their fresh seafood market is also great. I gotten fresh fish from the market for my BBQs at home and its delicious.

Wow I surprised, First time here the food is excellent, I try the salmon with garlic butter comes with sautéed veg. and salad and choice of brawn rice or white rice also they have sushi too .the service is good. its worth going back. thanks chef.

I stood in line for a while thenThey take to long to serve. I walked in on a Sunday after noon and the tables still had plates on them but weren’t in use.

This place serves great, fresh seafood at a great price. I love their mixed seafood cocktails (campechanas). The best I’ve had in Mexican restaurants in LA. Their fried tilapia is also flavorful (and only $ 3.50 everyday). The key to their success is that they are also a seafood distributor. I often come with my cooler to buy seafood to make at home, but can’t resist to buy some of their cooked specials. This place is definitely worth a drive.

I didn’t like it, the oysters taste bad

This is probably one of the few places I will eat at around work. And the best part is that they have fresh and cheap seafood!
I usually order their specials, with my favorite being fish taco Thursday’s. Don’t let the size fool you, as they give you 3 pieces of fish per taco. The salsa has quite a kick to it, but is housemade and tasty! I would also suggest ordering the $.99 seafood soup that comes with the fish taco special.
They also make fresh clam chowder and will usually offer free samples!

This is my favorite place to go for lunch when I’m at my office. Their daily fish lunch specials at $ 4.99 & under can’t be beat! I usually order on Mondays (the grilled tilapia topped with grilled bell peppers & onions) Tuesdays (deep fried whole tilapia) and Fridays (fried breaded tilapia). All the specials come with spanish rice, refried pinto beans and a side salad.

Mariscos Bahia is a good place for lunch. Atlantic Ave, south of Slauson about 2 blocks. They have a different lunch special every weekday, which ranges from $ 2.99 to $ 4.99, and generous portions! Fish tacos Thursdays, Deep fried fillet on Fridays are my favorite days. Includes rice, beans and small salad. The owners are very friendly and service is good. You order then pick it up. No waitresses, but sometimes they’ll bring it to your table if they are not busy. They have some unusual fish like Marlin tacos, that have a strong fishy flavor similar to tuna with spices added, not my favorite. Good ceviche and clam chowder. They have a fish market /​distribution warehouse next to the restaurant that supplies other seafood restaurants. It’s nothing fancy, but good seafood at great prices! Very casual. Nice people. Generous portions. Try the fish tacos on Thursday! I heard that they may be getting a beer license soon.
