There is one older lady who works there that is very rude!!! I was asking questions about prices on some items and she was just flat out rude! I will never go back to this store again! Spend your money elsewhere! I know I will!

My wife loves Goodwills and searches them out. She buys clothes for herself, me and gifts

I’ve only been here to drop off clothing and stuff. Never thought they would be picky but they will be on what you give them. Just FYI.

My go to spot to drop off our discarded items and poke around for things for me or the kiddos. Decent selection… but mostly it’s just close to me.

Probably the best thrift store in McKinney in terms of selection and value. Lots and lots of very average/below-average clothing that seems to be fairly organized. Decent amount of furniture and bric-brac. Employees are generally very nice and helpful, but seem so overworked, under-appreciated and stressed. Great location near the 75⁄380 Wal-Mart and plenty of parking, always. Sadly, this store could be SOMUCHBETTER if it were CLEANER, better organized and maintained. I’ve been to at least 50 other Goodwill stores across the nation, and 100’s of thrift stores, and the potential here is just so untapped. Do your homework on Goodwill and you will find out that top executives rake in millions and don’t pay the hard-working store employees much at all. I don’t mind buying something here if it’s a good deal and benefits me, but I would never donate anything to Goodwill. Profits go to top execs, not to benefit the community or a charity.

As far as Goodwills go, this location is the cleanest and best-stocked I’ve seen in DFW. As other reviewers mentioned, don’t expect the store to be full of fancy pieces or unique vintage wares. The store has a large and well-priced selection of casual clothes and housewares mostly. You can definitely find great pieces among all the stuffed racks if you are willing to take the time(sounds kind of like the Goodwill motto, huh?) I’ve been to this store 5 or 6 times, and never left empty-handed or disappointed.

I guess I’m the only person who can’t seem to find anything? I will say, they do have a great selection of dinnerware, and nick-nacks by the entrance. As for clothes, they don’t carry any vintage at all(I’ve looked many times), it’s mostly shirts(like the previous reviewer stated). I came here because I started a new job and needed a pair of black pants and a nice dress shirt. I found what I was looking for in about 20 minutes(for under $ 10). I then browsed around for a bit, and couldn’t find anything worth buying. It’s all everyday clothes that you would find at Walmart or Target(their brands). I did find a nice Ann Taylor dress and jacket for $ 6.00, too bad it wasn’t my size. They do have a large selection of jeans. I’m not a denim person. But, if you’re, then you’ve found the right Goodwill. pros-Good for shirts, denim, dinnerware cons-No vintage, low stock of name brand clothes

If you’re looking to go «thrift shoppin’» like macklemore, this isn’t the place. Not vintage, just a bunch of cheap clothes and stuff. They have blazers for $ 4 though. Make sure to check the armpits for stains/stench! I always donate my clothes here and walked around it once. The people who take the donations are very friendly! I’ve never seen employees inside the building or checking people out so I can’t say the same thing for the staff inside.

Best Goodwill in D/FW is this one. Not saying it’s the best thrift shop, vintage shop, etc, but out of all the Goodwill’s? This one takes the cake. Maybe because it’s the headquarters too? Not sure, but I always seem to find awesome things at low prices here. And they have«tag» discounts for various colors on various days, so that’s fun. The employees are super nice, but one factor I’ve heard over and over from them is complaining about how management doesn’t do anything. They sit on their bums and watch the employees work. Not sure what can be done about that, but from a customer standpoint, it’s really not all that bad. I mean, you can’t expect perfect. It’s Goodwill. Oh, and by the way, Goodwill is NOT a charity. Everyone at the top makes a ton of money and the employees do not reap what they sow. Just a head’s up on that aspect.

I went into McKinney Goodwill in search for a 70’s style costume for an upcoming party I am attending. I found the groovy shoes right away, then went searching for an outfit that matched the shoes. I was amazed at how organized and clean the store was. They have all of their shirts, tank tops, dresses in color coordinated order on the racks. It was very easy to find what I was looking for. I came out of the store with an entirely groovy outfit for less than $ 15.

This is not the most awesomest thrift store in the McKinney are, but it does have a pretty large selection of shirts. NOTE, that I said shirts. There are not a lot of options for business shirts, jackets, or pants. If you’re looking for some cheap shirts to wear around then it’s a good place to stop. They also pretty often tag their clothes with different colored plastic things and then the already cheap shirt in your hand becomes even less expensive, HURRAH! I’m a huge fan of thrift stores and so I’m cool with the fact that you might need to spend an hour or two(or three) to find the good deals, the stuff that fits your style and fits your body too. No thrift store is magically organized by the«This is your section», heck, most of the time the sizes aren’t even in the right places, but if you’re willing to spend the time you can definitely get some good deals. On shirts. I mentioned that’s really all they have a selection for, right? Oh, yes, good.
