Hampton Inn-East

I’m giving them 5 stars not bc of luxury but because of cleanliness, great service, and hospitality.
We stayed here for a family Union down the road and it was a nice spot. Our entire family stayed here and no one had any complaints. Everything was clean and neat. I LOVE the fact that they have a sign on the bed saying that everything on the bed including the duvet/​comforter is cleaned for EVERY guest. They also had the laundry room door open downstairs and you could see with your own eyes that the comforters were being washed (nice laundry room btw). The Hampton Inn is not a luxury hotel but believe me I’m a picky woman. I don’t just stay anywhere and I don’t just eat anywhere. If you’re looking for luxury don’t come here obviously. But if you’re looking for somewhere to stay and it’s clean and nice then this is your place, short or extended. It’s also right off the highway which is a plus for those on the go. I agree with one of the other reviewers that mentioned only fast food nearby. They have sit down restaurants about 15 minutes down the road which isn’t bad. Just something to keep in mind if you’d prefer something closer to restaurants and shops. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
P. S. Oh and the staff was really nice. They had the politeness and friendliness that I look forward to when traveling to the south. One of the other reviewers complained about a package. My thing is, would I have been upset, absolutely. However, I wouldn’t leave my package at a hotel in a rural area and expect them to know all the details of getting it picked up and how much it would cost. They probably only have to handle those kind of matters once every 5 years.

We’ve found that Hampton Inns are consistently good: comfy beds, clean bathrooms with nice toiletries, spacious-​enough rooms, and decent breakfast. This Hampton Inn is no exception.
Do be aware, if you check reviews before reserving rooms — the location is convenient to the highway, but lackluster and dull (not to my liking.) The only restaurants in the immediate area, are pay-​at-​the-​counter fast food places.

The hotel itself, standard as reviewed by another. What earns this location 1 star is this fun little story. Checked in around 8pm with a package for UPS pickup. Me: Can you send this out for me tomm? Clerk: Yes, I can! Next day… cell phone rings. Clerk: Hi, we’ll have to charge your CC on file for UPS to pick up your package. Me: That’s silly, I would not have left my package had I known that. Clerk: You’re right, I’ll drop it at a UPS store for you. Me: thanks! Twenty days later… Realize package is not at destination. Me: tell above story. Clerk: you need to talk to my GM, your package is still here. Me: tell story again. GM: my employee should not have told you that, would you like me to charge your CC on file? Me: What? Your employee lies to me, you hold my package hostage for 20 days, and you still want to *^%& charge me? Fine! Send me the package and Ill take it to UPS. GM: There’s no postage on the package… this goes on and on to the point I become very irritated. I told the GM why not say «hi, whats the problem? Oh, ok, no problem, I can fix it.» Holy cows and pigs! These guys are clueless about hospitality. Simple problem made extremely complicated. Why would you hold on to a package in excess of 20 days? UNSAT! So, the GM tells me he’ll take the package to UPS. Guess I’ll find out if he’s honest or not.

Near I-​85, pretty standard for Hampton Inn, definitely recommend especially if you already stay at Hamptons.
