I will never stay at another Choice Hotel after my recent experience. We made a reservation for Friday, December 11 at the Comfort Suites in Whitsett, NC. To this day, I still have not received a confirmation email from booking directly on the website. Unfortunately due to traffic and traveling with a 4 month old, we would have reached this hotel at 3−4am. We made a good faith attempt to stay with another Comfort Suites in Lawrenceville, GA instead around 12midnight. I talked to both hotels and customer service that evening. The hotel in NC said they would make a note that we would not arrive and that if I got charged that I can dispute it with Customer Relations. The reservation could not be modified because the hotels are franchises. I called after being billed for the stay in GA and NC. I went through 4 different departments before finally being directed to Customer Relations. I was told there is nothing that can be done because we were considered a no show for the reservation. We made a good faith effort to stay with the same hotel chain despite unforeseen delays in our travel. I know this would not have happened with a better hotel chain. Travel with a family of 6 is stressful enough and this Comfort Suites made it even more stressful and frustrating. I will never stay at another Choice Hotel and will share this experience with as many people as possible. I hope that no one else will deal with this when things happen unexpectedly when traveling with a new baby.

The place was decent. It was fairly clean and the location was decent. I booked this trough Hotwire. When I got there, my family got one king bed and pullout. When I asked if better accommodations or a room change was possible, the attendant(who complained about how it was very slow at the hotel) wouldn’t do it without charging me extra. She then attempted to lecture me about how I should’ve made sure I had the room I needed.(Seriously?) I guess she was holding those rooms for the loads of people that WERENOTTHERE. I called Hotwire, and Mary was very gracious. She called the hotel, spoke to the same woman to ask for a different room for me and my family. The woman wouldn’t do it. Hotwire felt so badly, they gave me some credit on my account. The toilet has a ring around it, and I doubt it was from a single lady or otherwise. That indicated it wasn’t properly cleaned. The breakfast choices were okay. They had waffles that you make yourself. That’s always fun. The breakfast staff barely said a word to us or anyone else. That 100% rating must have been an error. I bet those imaginary hotel guests wrote them. There’s no way this would have gotten anything more than a 40%.

The hotel and staff are great. VERY clean and nice hotel. Wonderful little snack area near the lobby that is not pricey. They have complimentary breakfast. Did I mention indoor pool and also a fitness center. AWESOME price too! Although my stay wasn’t the best because of inconsiderate guests above that allowed their child to run and stomp around at 1:00 am. Front desk did all they could to help. I’m actually writing this review as I lay here wide awake because of this child.
