Quiet nights, good breakfast, but funky smelling room. We checked in late one night and was hit in the face with a musty/cigarette smoke smell as we opened the door to our room. We were so tired we went to sleep and hoped it would go away. It didn’t. I spoke to management, but they couldn’t move us due to a sold out weekend. The room was a typical hotel room. fridge/microwave/coffee combo and small bathroom. Nights were quiet and we slept ok. Just wish it smelled better. There was this lingering musty smell(maybe smoke) every day. The sheets also felt kinda damp almost like humidity was causing some sort of film to stick to them. Showers were nice and hot. Carpet was actually pretty worn out and looked due for a good steam cleaning or replacement. Breakfast: Dining room has a couple of ladies who cook breakfast for the whole hotel every morning. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, plus more. One day they were overwhelmed and a lot of items were unavailable. Otherwise, it was pretty nice all other days. Pool & fitness: Noticed a nice pool and hot tub, but didn’t have time to try them out. The fitness center had new equipment, but lacked towels or cleaning supplies. I had to go to the pool to get a towel to wipe sweat of the machines. WiFi: free, fast, no problems. I’m on the fence about returning. The price was a good deal, but I would only go if I knew the room smelled better.

This is the best kept secret in Macelester, ok. The hotel is beautiful, spacious rooms with microwave and fridge in each room. Comfy bed Nd pleasant, professional staff. When we checked in, we were offered freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and then the staff pointed out that they had recently won an award for the best breakfast at a hotel. The next morning, we discovered how they earned this award. The ladies actually cook the breakfast right in the dining room. Wonderful eggs, sausage and all the fixings. What a treat.

Where do I begin? What a great place, just beautiful and the rooms are geeat. We worked closely with the marketing manager as we had a family reunion in town. She walked me through the locations and places to go… it was great. We even held a couple of our events right there at the hotel. It Was GREAT. They Do not Have Catering On site, But That Was NOT A problem. They do serve a yummy breakfast every korning, and fresh baked cookies and milk(DH favorite) in the night. We were staying in a suite and wow was it roomy and comfortable. Jacuzzi tub, living area, with doors to separate from the sleeping. Really geeat. Staff was beyond awesome. Hope To Stay Here again. They do have a small office area with use to the computer and printer in the lobby, a lovely gathering area and very welcoming.

This hotel is a great value for the price. Clean premises, friendly staff, free coffee, indoor pool and hot tub, free full breakfast, free wifi, and nice rooms. Although it is more expensive than some hotel chains, given the quality of the rooms and amenities, I was surprised the rate isn’t higher than it is. A hidden gem in McAlester. We stay here every time we are in town to visit the family. Highly recommend.
