So Forever21 just opened and it’s apparently a new store concept called«RED» and theres only TWO in the whole country! One in L.A. and one in McAllen, TX… weird, but I’m not complaining! I had read about it before it opened, and it’s supposed to be F21 stuff but with«deeper discounts.» I was hoping that meant it would be the same F21 stuff on super sale or at least similar stuff at cheaper prices. After visiting today, it’s actually neither… which is why they lose a star. Basically, it’s just the same«basics» at any F21 store, but in much greater proportions. TONS of $ 1.80 tank tops, $ 3.80 tees, $ 10 jeans, etc. They also throw in a lot of their«daily deal» stuff and lower-priced fashion items. There was a sale section(some shorts and jackets at 50% off), but not much bigger than it would be in a regular store. They also had some of their more popular higher-priced items sprinkled around, which I actually liked. The store is large, bright, and really clean(at least for now). Plenty of dressing rooms and cash registers. They also carried a lot of plus-size items, and had fairly large men’s and children’s sections. My favorite part though is that this new concept is designed to be in strip centers rather than in malls. Tons of parking and only a few steps to the door. Overall, a little disappointed that they don’t actually carry any different items than a regular store, but very pleased with the convenience.
