Some of the best Mexican food you will find in Mcallen. So delicious! Only reason I give it four stars is the service… It’s terrible. If you don’t mind the wait and can be patient then I highly recommend.

A McAllen classic. This hole in the wall never disappoints. The Mexican food is made to order and delicious. I’ve had many things on the menu but their carnitas are my favorite. Highly recommend. Service is pretty darned good.

This is my go to place when I’m in town! You will not regret it. The food has a comfort food quality to it. It reminds me of a traditional Tex-​Mex homemade cuisine.

You can never go wrong with this place. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very tasty. We had Huevos Rancheros and they were perfect. Hubby had a breakfast special of scrambled eggs, fried beans, bacon and diced potatoes. They also serve the best «carnitas» around. All this plus two coffees…$ 16+. Not bad for great food.

Every time I come here the quality of food is consistent. The staff is friendly (except for the cashier) and the amount of food for your buck is pretty good. I always have leftovers for another meal.
The atmosphere is cozy… very old building in downtown McAllen. You’ll probably miss this hidden gem among the shops. Prices are low and they offer daily specials. Breakfast ends at 11am sharp. Always enjoy dining here any time of the day.

The chicken mole special is delicious and very reasonably priced. You get a huge chicken breast on the bone with refried beans and rice for just under $ 7.00. The chicken is tender and the mole sauce is rich and complex without being too sweet. I can’t wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu.
