I dropped into Quips ‘n’ Notes for a meeting. Apparently, there’s a coffee shop to the very back of the store offering coffee, chocolates and other snacks. With plenty of seating, it’s an ideal spot for a quick meeting. (Though I couldn’t find a free wi-​fi connection.)
Aside from that, the majority of patrons are there for the gifts and goods. Cards, clothing, toys, trinkets … perfect for stocking stuffers.
The store also hosts social events — on this particular day is was a girls’ night out.

I have been in this store several times to buy gifts for various holidays. I have always been impressed with the large selection and fresh/​new choices throughout the year! And they always offer unique items not found at big-​retailers.

This is the closest that mcallen tx will get to a hallmark store. The employees are very friendly. The store is like a 3 stores in one type a deal. You have hallmark card selection which isn’t a big one they have holiday stuff, religious items, children items, home décor, hello kitty, clothing for women, and even the post office which makes it very convenient if you want to mail something out!

Love this place! My daughter had to have a penguin pillow pet and they were out. So they had the Harlingen store send one over and called us when it came in. Always friendly and look for those 20% off coupons on the back of your heb receipt. Bonus!

This store has been around in many incarnations… it started as really just a hallmark store. Then, as it grew and evolved, it’s so much more. At any given time you’ll find hubby shopping for wife, junior league shopping for future inductee, kids shopping for mom or high school boyfriend for their sweetheart. They’ve got everything from shoes and purses, to cards and collectibles, to stationary and photo books. And thats not it! Scarves, jewelry, home décor, precious moments, jim shore, religious stuff, the famed painted ponies, clever cowboy chic things, kitchen ware, trendy wallets, etc. and so on.
I was in there today and walked out with way too many things… but all of them precious and perfect. Hit them during a sale and you’ll go crazy (hint hint: After christmas!) in the very best way.
