Vietnamese owner, a plus! Typical way of greeting and taking orders, which means its a true Viet. place. They had the usual hoison sauce and Sriracha. We had Bun Chay and Phở Dac Biet. Phở Dac Biet: Was average not great. Bun Chay: one of the best tofu we’ve ever tasted. It is flavored like fish patties. I would come back!

Had the chicken sandwich and it was so so(few pieces of chicken and veggies). The service was the most disappointing-sooo Bad. Ordered a sandwich to go and when I asked for hot oil to go, the cashier literally rolled his eyes and acted annoyed. The entire transaction he was short and looked bothered. The food is not that good to put up with such unwelcoming atmosphere. I was very much looking forward to get out of there asap.

Anyone who knows anything about good Vietnamese food, would know that Saigon serves watered down Phở. I’ve had DELICIOUS, AUTHENTIC Phở in Houston at an even cheaper price. Alot of their food at Saigon,(chicken), is microwaved. The owner is also very rude to his employees in front of customers. The owner also takes your order as if he hates being there.

Banh-mi so-so service was bad. Waiter act like he didn’t want us to be there like we disturbed his day. Had vermicelli with fried tofu. Was the only vegetarian option. Tofu tasted like fish.(Do not know the meaning of vegetarian) would not go there again.

Excellent food at a good price. I’m in love with the sandwiches and will get a phở as well on a rainy day. Certainly will be back soon.

Loved this place! The phở is delicious and a good portion for the price in comparison to other places that sell phở. Overall a really casual setting but perfect if you don’t want to spend a fortune and still eat some tasty Vietnamese food. :)

Phở was bland. I’m from NorCal and have been around authentic Phở going on 20 years… the broth looked like it was just kept in a giant bowl. it had fragments of shattered beef. The menu was terrible with areas blacked out. I am guessing they didn’t have the items or are discontinued. The building looked like the a bunch of tables and chairs were thrown in and someone set table cloths. I also tried their authentic sandwiches and they were using old bread. I was hoping it would have been fresh… I hate talking bad, so I will stop. I will never return.

Omg this place is a little gem! Went in craving some phở! Saw really cheap prices and good looking pictures on the menu. I got the beef phở and my bf got the shrimp phở, both were extremely satisfying! The broth had so much flavor. I liked this phở way more than the one from hop tung. the quality and freshness was also way better and it came out a lot hotter! I’m definitely going to try other things on their menu everything looks really good and at a great price. Sandwiches for $ 3.95 nothing exceeding $ 9 I’m thinking. Next time i go I will take a pic of the menu. * I even liked it more than the spicy beef soup I had from xin xin even though I haven’t tried actual phở from there

Ive tried many different places for phở, and I have to admit saigon knows how to make phở! I always get the chicken phở and love how the noodles are always al dente, and not soggy. The broth isnt oily like other places ive tried, and the soup is always nice and hot, not lukewarm. Also the eggrolls are amazing!

This is my go to place when I need a Phở fix! Their Phở is very well made, delicious and satisfying. What the place isn’t is pretentious, it is homey the owner is always around and the food is fresh made and piping hot. I was pleasantly surprised the last time I went to see my daughter’s friend from High School working as a waitress and I have to say the service was great. I have a rule when I go up north and eat at a Mexican restaurant, that if there are no Mexicans eating there, I won’t even go in. I have to say that every time I go the local Vietnamese community has a representative there. The gentleman who first sent me there was Vietnamese and he claimed they made the best Phở in the valley. So far I think he was right on the money. I’d order their Vietnamese egg rolls as an appetizer they are crunchy and their fish sauce is delicious. Their Bun is also excellent and I’d try it on at least one visit.

My wife and I been eating at this family own café since they were on south 10th& Pecan. It is the only good phở place in town. Unless, you want to drive 5 hrs to eat it in Houston. The service and food is great. Thank you for stay consistent.

The only good place I know of in the area that serves Bahn Mi sandwiches(vietnamese style sandwich). The service is very slow because it is a very small place with only a few place working as staff. But it is not unreasonable. The food is so good and yet so cheap.

When I think of Texas eats, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t Viet food, or other Asian food in general, but I really needed a break from bbq, burgers, tacos, and deep fried anything. Pretty good stuff and dinner phó-king filled me up nicely. I was really bummed that they didn’t have fresh spring rolls. I was hoping to get my fix, but to no avail T_T. I had a seafood phó and my friend had a beef bowl along with a plate of fried rice. I tried the rice and it was ok. The mild broth filled mah belly nicely. It was a kick in the wallet to pay $ 2 for a soda can. Isn’t there a Coca Cola factory just up the expressway? Damn, we didn’t luck out with a soda fountain with free refills here. Womp-womp-womp :( Maybe, I’ll try to stop by next time and get a bahn mi for $ 3.95 to snack on. I’m still raging about not having some spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, but I’d come back on a cold rainy day for a hearty bowl of phó.

Not bad. The phở here at Saigon, when compared to other phở I’ve had, is quite bland. However, it is not bad. I had the 18, which consisted of phở with meatball and thin steak. The meatballs were too rubbery for my taste but the flavor was pretty good. Overall, an okay bowl of phở and even better the next day. I do wish they served more veggies with the phở, a complaint of another Unilocaler I completely agree with. And no jalapenos? Maybe next time I’ll ask for them and perhaps they’ll give me some. There was enough hot sauce on the table though.

There were around 20 tables about half of which were dirty. It stayed that way the entire time we were there. The owner instructed us to take a seat at a dirty table and the LONE waitress/busperson cleaned the table. It was 15 minutes after our order and no drink yet. Service is the problem here. The food came out no appetizer no drinks no napkins. We eventually got everything. The springs rolls were really good. The steak and meatball Phở is the second best in town. The meatballs in the phở are better than HopTungs which is the best Vietnamese place in town although their service is slow as well but Saigon take slow to a new level. The owner/cook/cashier went out for a smoke during all this. Also the plate accompaning the Phở was scarce and contained no onion or jalapeño. If you want good Vietnamese food try Le Lai or Hop Tung! I will not be checking in here again!

The number 16 is the best. Noodle soup with beef eye round steak flank and soft tendon. Add some sriracha hot chili sauce with hoisin sauce and you have the best hangover cure :)
