Kirby G’s has stolen my heart. I got the featured«on top of olé smoky» burger, and fell in love. Onion rings, Bacon, and chipotle honey sauce literally made my heart skip a beat. I’m not from Atlanta but this is a place I will recommend for many years in the future. Service was impeccable, as fist I wasn’t sure what I wanted so she let me sample to pimento cheese, with their warm potato chips. The ambiance took me back to the times of Elvis Presley(way before I was actually born). I can continue about everything else, but I’d like to leave some anticipation for you…

I had been told was awesome for a burger and fries. Place absolutely sucked. Had better burgers in Army mess hall at lunch time. Don’t wast your time McDonalds drive though is much better.

Burger was not cooked as ordered. However server was accommodating and friendly. Ice cream was not homemade. They sell blue bell ice cream. I was hoping it would be homemade. The beer selection was decent. The onion petals reminded me of something from a fast food restaurant. The atmosphere was fun. Braves game going on in the background, families, couples(of all races and sexual orientation I noticed) I like that, when a business accepts everyone. I can’t really recommend it other than the atmosphere and how convenient it is. Right in downtown mcdonough.

I enjoyed eating lunch here but there were a couple of things I didn’t like. It had an unusual smell when you walk in… kind of an old smell. The menu was kind of hard to navigate. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted. Good customer service. I ordered a cheese burger and fries. The menu states best hamburger in Atlanta. I wouldn’t agree with that statement but it was good!

I believe I had The Duke and Chris had the James Dean. Mine came with the fried onion and slitghtly spicy BBQ sauce. I gave home the bacon. Well we both asked for Medium Well. I should have gotten Medium. I like to see some pink in my burger. I asked my server if I could get it Medium but close to Medium Well. She laughed and sarcastically said«There’s no such thing*. So it came and it has no hints of Pink in it. So it was Well and not even Medium Well. Although it was dry to me it still wasn’t bad. I liked the fries better though. My bf’s apparently yummy Medium Well burger did have hints of pink in it. Go figure! 2.5 Stars.

We went for a late lunch, they were packed and maybe a little understaffed, we waited over 25 mins for appetizer altho the sampler was good, going in for the last nacho we saw a long hair. Well we all know how that makes the meal sit. We asked for our check, paid paid the tab and then told the server. She didn’t seem to really care, coolly aplogized and started wiping the table off. Not sure if we will give the it a 2nd chance.

Greatest burger joint in town! Actually, best burger place in the state… and they have the awards to prove it. Take a trip if you are in town, you wont be disappointed.

Went here because of the reviews. Best burger etc. Sorry but I begged to differ. Below Mediocre. The décor was nice though and it’s big inside. You know when you eat a burger and you’re thinking I could have made better at home. Absolutely no seasoning… My thoughts. The home made chips they gave us were burnt. I think they have won contests or something, but I couldn’t tell how. Not to be funny, but if you want a good burger in McDonough try Mikies Burgers Mcdonough GA(Not Mikes Burger on Jodeco — I tried Mikes and they are below mediocre too so don’t get them confused). Anyways, I googled best burger in McDonough and MIKIES came up. It’s on Jonesboro Road. The inside isn’t much as far as decoration but very clean, and the burgers are extremely good. Oh and the sweet potatoes fries were good too.

Small town hang out with Big town taste! Kirby G’s is located in the McDonough town square. I came here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They close at 3 pm on Sundays so plan to make it out there for lunch. The dinner is cool with retro décor. The staff was super sweet. I had the Zuko Zesty Jack Chicken hoagie with sweet potato tots with marshmallow dip. It was smart and so tasty. My friend had the sliders and the sample burger he picked was delicious. There’s plenty food so you wont leave hungry. This place is my new favorite burger joint on the Southside. They have trivia on Thursdays and band night on Fridays. It’s called a pub but it’s really family oriented.

Burger was dry and unflavorful. Extremely over rated!!! Slow to be seated. The parking around the square is a bit irritating

Stopped in to check out this place during an overnight business trip. Had the blue cheese burger. It was awesome! The meat was fresh, the cheese was so flavorful, and the fried pickles that I had on the side were awesome. With 12 beers on tap to wash it all down and a friendly staff, you can’t go wrong!

We were super happy with our trip to The Greater Good. My boyfriend got pulled pork, fries, and brisket chili. He loved all of them and ate most of my baked beans too. I got pulled chicken(wanted two sides so I ordered the ¼ smoked chicken white meat pulled) and it was amazing. Prepared like pulled pork. The sauces are great, similar to normal BBQ restaurant options like Sonnys. I mix together sweet and smokey and always add hot on everything! My baked beans were great. Didn’t love the green beans but it was just the way they were prepared and personal preference, I still ate about half. Plus we got to watch the(devastating) Falcons game on a large TV beside our table. They also have a variety of beer(no menu though) and it’s super cheap. Definitely recommend trying what we got.

My husband and I stopped into this place on our way back home to Florida. The décor is a 50’s diner which certainly has its place and was rather cute. We asked our waitress what craft beers they have and she responded with«I don’t know anything about beer. I’m not the one to ask.» Well dear, you might want to write it down since your menu indicates that I need to ask my server about the beer list. We ended up walking to the bar and choosing from there. Furthermore, it turns out they offer local beer and never bothered to mention it to us. Thankfully the food was good. I wouldn’t call it «the best burger» but it was cooked correctly and the flavor profile was good. We both had the ol’ blue eyes burger cooked medium. All in all, I don’t plan on traveling to McDonough Georgia again and it wasn’t great enough to make a second stop there if I did find myself in the area.

Ever since I saw a article about this place having the best burger, I was excited to go but it was lackluster. I ordered the breakfast burger, the waitress is very friendlyThe bun was bigger than the meat itself. I do like a bite of beef with my burger. The breakfast burger comes with bacon and egg(breakfast!)…the waitress didn’t ask how I wanted my egg or beef so the egg came thoroughly cooked but the beef was cooked to my liking. I wanted a root beer float but they ran out of vanilla ice cream. It was disapppointing but their strawberry sundae made up for it. They use bluebell ice cream and you can’t go wrong with that. Unless I’m in the area again, I wouldn’t go out of my way.

I usually don’t review right after I eat. With all the hype I had for this place, I was disappointed in the quality of the burger I ordered. I ordered the pimento burger with bacon. The patty was not juicy nor did it have the ideal meat to bun ratio. Meat in every bite is my ideal ratio. I don’t know if this place seasons their patties but I didn’t taste anything but mild tasting pimento cheese in each bite. I had a Bite of my sister’s breakfast burger. It was pretty juicy and well seasoned. Fried pickles are breaded ideally and stuck to the pickle with each bite, not bad. The chilli cheese fries were okay, typical taste. Nothing special. I’ll just assume it’s one of those times my burger was made quickly and put together… you knowbjusy to get a burger out there to the customer. Wouldn’t come back, nothing seems worth trying.

The pimento cheese is super spicy so be prepared. I ordered 2 sliders and they were both great. The blue cheese slider was my fav. Great house chips too.

Awesome Pimento Cheese Burger and love the onion petals! The wings are good here too! My only recommendation would be for them to get more comfortable bar stools and to fix the buckle in the floor near the front door I’ve tripped on it twice.

We took the drive to McDonough to try out this place. Based on the mixed reviews, we weren’t sure what to expect. My family and I arrived for a late lunch around 3:30. Kirby G’s was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. The two adults ordered the Palladin Special(burger w/Serrano and roasted peppers, cheddar cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, and barbecue sauce on a kaiser roll). It was delicious! We also ordered fried green beans for an appetizer, and a side of chili cheese fries. My daughter ordered the kids meal: five wings tossed in medium sauce and a side of fries. As one Unilocaler stated, the standard burger is 1⁄3 lb., but you do have the option to order a 1lb. burger. Between the sides and appetizers, 1⁄3 was plenty. They have a great selection of local beers on draft, and you can also order the usual assortment of carbonated and non-carbonated drinks. Kirby G’s also offers floats. The establishment is decorated with old timely diner paraphernalia which creates a sense of nostalgia along with the classic oldies playing in the background. The only thing missing was a jukebox. We really enjoyed the food and would definitely return. If you decide to try out Kirby G’s — make a day of it and hit the Tanger Outlets while your down there.

The food here was amazing! Id have given this place 5 stars but the Coca-Cola I got was flat and after j then ordered a Sprite, that was flat, too! The food, though will make me come back in a heartbeat. I ordered the chicken melt on texas toast and the chicken was so succulent and tender that I was totally surprised because most chicken breasts are kind of dry. The hot dog was great as well and the fries were seasoned perfectly! My boyfriend got the 1lb burger and ate the entire thing but I tasted it and that was delicious also. I’ll be back to try something else soon!
