The food is good but we only go when Jonathan is behind the bar. He’s The Best bartender!!!

Their wait staff was friendly, but the bar tender(who wasn’t busy) seemed abrupt. The cheese dip was good but the chips were unsalted room temperature and stale. We ordered a margarita and Bahama mama, decently priced but tasted terrible(even with bottom shelf ingredients drinks can still taste good, these were bad) The bean burrito I ordered was okay, the rice and beans were decent but under seasoned and the Carnitas my husband ordered were over cooked and greasy. There are good Mexican nearby skip this one and head down to Hudson Bridge to one of the several there.

The food is just so-so…it’s always packed because it’s the only one on this area… the service is also mediocre… they ran out of silverware when I was there… eh, nothing special.

Price were good, but that was about all. The food was bland and the service was bad. This was the first and last time that we will be eating there. Really disappointing since it is so convenient.

Their menu includes traditional favorites(nachos, tacos, etc.) and some great new twists with Mexican flavors featured. We like to go there for family birthdays and other celebrations. The wait staff is welcoming to large groups and the kitchen does a great job of getting all of those orders out quickly. Pro Tip: If you are counting calories … try one of their skinny margaritas.

I frequented this place for years, but hadn’t been here in a while and was in shock at how terrible it was. The salsas didn’t have the same flavor and my beef dip was as thin as water. We ordered some Tuesday tacos like we used to 2 chicken and 2 beef. I am certain i was given canned chicken. It was pasty white, no seasonings and it was dripping watery juices out the back. The beef also were flavorless and looked sort of like what you’d expect to get feom taco bell. Very very disappointing experience and it will probably be my last. I’m giving two stars because they’re fantastic sweet tea is still the same.

Pedro’s is a great place. I’ve always been very happy with the food– and especially with the service. For local Mexican places– just like all of the places around here, the food is heavily Americanized. That doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. Everything I’ve had at this restaurant has been extremely tasty. My wife and I are regulars both in store and for pick-up orders. Pedro’s is especially awesome when it comes to grilled steak menu options, they beat everyone in the area… with the exception of San Diego’s in Locust Grove which is just a ‘little’ bit better. The servers are really great and treat guests the way they should be treated. Super friendly, and you can tell they really want you to have a good time. Occasionally food for pick-up is a bit under-par, and that’s my only complaint. You guys all do a great job, and the food’s fantastic.

The food that I’ve had has been outstanding. I typically sit at the bar and the service is top notch. The bartender, Julie is always friendly, personable and makes stellar drinks. I really enjoy my time at Pedro’s!

We eat at this place at least 3 times a month. Salsa is awesome and food is really good, but the bartenders make this place one of our favorites. Everyone is friendly and always ready to help! Leah and Lindsey are THEBEST!!!

Food is OK. Not great. They do a TON of business… Mostly because they are the only Mexican place in the neighborhood and it’s close. Service is pretty good and the beer is cold.

Good lil Mex joint. They give you two different versions of salsa. Chips are decent not great. If you like spicy get the El Diablo, it’s very good and has some great veggies. Service is fast and they keep your cup filled. We try to eat there pretty often.

This review is relative: as far as run of the mill«Mexican» restaurants in the suburbs that cater to white people go, this is the best. I base this solely on their salsa. It’s in a good place – there aren’t that many other restaurants in the general vicinity. The servers are nice. Prices are okay. Karaōke is painful. The food is a little bland but I am too.

Alright, I’ve lived all over the country so this is gonna be brutal. I’ve lived in Texas & California so I think I know what Mexican food should taste like. I can tell you straight up, this ain’t it. I had dinner with my folks here & the service was fine, they had a couple dudes playing some chill back music which was cool. Drinks come, fine, chips n’ salsa come, good. So when our entrée’s come we’re all excited because«Hey it might be really good!»(Behhhh goes the buzzer) We all took our first bite & it didn’t matter that I had this or they had that… it literally tasted like the cook whom ever that was(bless his heart) dumped an entire salt shaker into the meat. I’m serious, & I know that it wasn’t just me because my parents also tasted it. We were drinking our drinks so fast you’d think we’d been out in the desert for days. I mean it was so strong that it ended up giving us all a stomach ache. We’re just not the type of people to send it back. Plus, who knows if the replacement would be any better. Your tongue was so numb after this meal I mean it felt like you were Betsy the Cow licking a giant salt lick all day out on the farm! It really sucks too because this place is close to me & I love to support local businesses. It’s not like I don’t like salt either, I mean I baked my own chicken recently & I put a sea salt rub all over that baby so I love salt. There’s a fine line with salt & if you cross that line | it’s over. The sad thing is, we’ll never go back because there are just too many places you can go today without giving an establishment a second chance.

Great Texas margarita ! Good food and service. My only issue, on two separate occasions I have attempted to us an AMEX gift card, with no success. It would be great if this problem was resolved.

Every time I’ve been, the waiters and waitresses and host and hostesses have always been friendly. I’ve never had a waiter that wasn’t easy to talk to, and I’ve never had a waiter that wouldn’t go the extra mile for a special request. I’ve tried plenty of dishes: don Pedro’s burrito to quesadillas to the chicken soup. The food isn’t anything too special, but it isn’t bad by any means. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and when there is karaōke night, it isn’t too loud to talk to people by you. My only real«complaint» is that it seems to be quite pricey. It’s worth it though. I go here a couple times a month, so it’s all good!

Food could be better. Needs real, traditional Mexican flavor and not just salt. The salsa isn’t bad but the entrée’s need much help. The bartender is friendly and easy to talk to, so if you are stopping in for drinks, you should be fine.

Here is an update. First, the owner has her liquor license, so know you can have a margarita with your food. They have expanded into the shop next to them, so they are much bigger, and they are also much busier. Unfortunately, bigger and busier isn’t always better. With the exception of Shane’s Rib Shack, this is the most popular restaurant in North McDonough. This is due to Mexican food being popular and Pedro’s delivering some competent fare. Some of the dishes are simply just not good. I had the«meat» enchiladas and they were almost inedible. I used the word meat instead of beef because they had this flavor I just couldn’t place. The sauce was red and thick and canned. Not good. On the other hand, on another visit, I had a quesadilla that was quite good. Now, it was grilled steak and queso fresco, do it is hard to screw that up, but it tasted fresh and hot. My wife typically orders chicken soft tacos a la carte and she enjoys them, but she says the chicken is under seasoned and could use some help. So, stay away from the ground meat, stay away from the complicated items as they are rarely well executed, and stick with the steak and chicken.
